Alcremie Movesets & Competitive Sets

Offensive Alcremie is the best choice for an offensive Fairy-type. Mystical Fire nails Steel-types like Alolan Dugtrio and Klinklang. Psychic destroys Poison-types like Silvally-Poison, Qwilfish, and Golbat, while Calm Mind lets Alcremie break through special walls like Articuno and Clefairy. Heavy-Duty Boots makes it easier for Alcremie to utilize its great defensive typing and switch in against foes like Thievul, Sawk, and Gurdurr, while Life Orb makes Alcremie a better wallbreaker. Dark-types such as Shiftry, Silvally-Dark, and Morpeko enjoy Alcremie's ability to take on Fighting- and Dark-types such as Gurdurr and Alolan Persian. Physical wallbreakers such as Thwackey and Choice Band Sawk can force in physical walls and pivot, providing Alcremie with wallbreaking opportunities, while also threatening special walls such as Clefairy, which can handle Alcremie. Ground-types such as Rhydon, Stunfisk, and Piloswine check Fire- and Poison-types such as Rapidash and Silvally-Poison. Partners such as Qwilfish, Rapidash, and Appletun can also wall problematic Fire-types for Alcremie.

Double Dance Alcremie is great against stall and balance teams and has the potential to muscle through most teams once Dark-types have been removed. The combination of Calm Mind and Acid Armor bolsters Alcremie's bulk and Stored Power's base power to incredible levels. Stored Power is preferred for its ability to bypass Unaware Pyukumuku. Rest is used over Recover in order to play around Toxic and other status moves. Leftovers provides passive recovery, which is extremely valuable when Alcremie is asleep for two turns. However, Chesto Berry is an alternative that lets Alcremie fully heal once without drawback. Because of Alcremie's inability to hit Dark-types, this set appreciates teammates weakening them. Attackers such as Thievul, Gourgeist-Small, and Shiftry can weaken Dark-types, especially with entry hazard support from setters such as Qwilfish, Piloswine, and Stunfisk. Toxic Spikes Qwilfish put Dark-types on a timer, although Skuntank is immune to them and some Dark-types like Morpeko run Heavy-Duty Boots. Fighting-types such as Gurdurr, Poliwrath, and Sawk check Dark- and Steel-types for Alcremie. Leftovers variants of Alcremie value having a sturdy defensive core to counteract its passivity and benefits from partners like Tangela and Altaria. Offensive Steel-types, mainly Alolan Dugtrio and Klinklang, need to be removed before Alcremie can sweep; therefore, teammates such as Rapidash and Sawk are appreciated.

Calm Mind Alcremie serves as a physical wall that is able to check foes like Sawk, Shiftry, and Gurdurr thanks to its typing while doubling as a threatening setup sweeper. Mystical Fire threatens Steel-types like Klinklang and Alolan Dugtrio, which take little damage from Dazzling Gleam. Alternatively, Aromatherapy allows Alcremie to sponge status and break through walls like Toxic Clefairy while also supporting partners that dislike getting statused, such as Miltank, Tangela, and Coalossal. Alcremie fits well on balance and bulky offense teams that appreciate its sweeping potential and defensive utility as a Fairy-type. Ground-types like Piloswine, Rhydon, and Stunfisk threaten Poison-types such as Silvally-Poison and Skuntank. Partners such as Cramorant and Altaria deal with Fire-types such as Rapidash and Ninetales, which can break through Alcremie. Teammates such as Rapidash, Qwilfish, and Manectric, which can check Steel-types, also make for great partners. Strong special wallbreakers such as Poliwrath, Thievul, and Exeggutor can heavily weaken special walls, putting them in range of Alcremie's attacks. This can be very important if Alcremie is not running Aromatherapy to disregard Toxic from threats such as Clefairy and Miltank.
