Indeedee (Female) Movesets & Competitive Sets

Indeedee-F's typing, ability, and movepool make it an excellent support Pokemon. Its Normal / Psychic typing allows it to deal with Calyrex-S well, and Psychic Surge has immense utility in Regulation G, as it blocks priority moves like Fake Out from Incineroar and Rillaboom and Prankster Taunt from Tornadus while also denying the Terrains that power up Miraidon and Rillaboom. The combination of Follow Me and Trick Room allows Indeedee-F to threaten either setting up Trick Room itself or redirecting away attacking moves and Taunt to enable a partner to set up Trick Room. Once the dimensions have been twisted, it can use Helping Hand to make a partner Trick Room sweeper even more threatening. Its last move is usually an attacking move to make it less prone to Taunt; Dazzling Gleam pairs well with Tera Fairy and lets it damage both foes, while Psychic gives it a strong Psychic Terrain-boosted STAB move regardless of Tera type. Alluring Voice is an acceptable alternative to Dazzling Gleam, letting Indeedee-F punish setup sweepers like IronPress Zamazenta-C and Nasty Plot Calyrex-S while also bypassing the prominent Wide Guard. The Fairy-type attacks allow Indeedee-F to break Focus Sashes on Dark-types like Chien-Pao, Chi-Yu, and Urshifu so its partner can remove them quickly. However, Psychic allows Indeedee-F to OHKO Urshifu-R. Psychic Seed complements Psychic Surge well, as it reinforces Indeedee-F's special bulk. Safety Goggles allows it to bypass Amoonguss's Rage Powder and redirect away Spore for the benefit of its teammates, while Rocky Helmet lets it damage physical attackers whose contact moves it can redirect; Rocky Helmet can even break a Focus Sash from an Urshifu or Chien-Pao and severely punish Urshifu-R for using Surging Strikes. Tera Fairy allows Indeedee-F to resist the Dark-type attacks that would otherwise threaten it such as Incineroar's Knock Off and Urshifu's Wicked Blow while powering up Fairy-type moves that it may carry. Alternatively, Tera Grass lets it bypass Amoonguss's disruption and become immune to its Spore without having to use Safety Goggles while also granting a resistance to Water- and Electric-type attacks from the likes of Urshifu-R and Miraidon. With Indeedee-F's utility, it can fit on a variety of teams that appreciate Psychic Terrain, redirection, or its ability to set Trick Room. Calyrex-S appreciates Psychic Terrain blocking priority moves, namely Chien-Pao's Sucker Punch, and powering up its Psychic-type attacks; it is even able to run the devastating Expanding Force with Indeedee-F. Calyrex-S also takes advantage of Indeedee-F's redirection to fire off more of its brutal attacks without fear of retaliation and also benefits from Helping Hand pushing its damage potential up to eleven. Calyrex-I pairs well with Indeedee-F, as it is both a Trick Room setter and a sweeper, meaning that the opponent is hard-pressed to stop either Pokemon from setting up Trick Room with Indeedee-F's support, and once it is set up, Indeedee-F immediately enables Calyrex-I to deal big damage with Helping Hand. Other Trick Room sweepers like Ursaluna, Ursaluna-B, and Torkoal appreciate that Indeedee-F can support them with Helping Hand and Follow Me on top of its ability to set up Trick Room. Indeedee-F is very vulnerable to Dark-types like Urshifu, Chi-Yu, and Incineroar, as the threat of their powerful moves makes it more hesitant to use Follow Me. It also hates Taunt, which completely shuts down all of its utility and thus its field presence. Rillaboom can also interfere with strategies predicated on Psychic Terrain blocking Fake Out.

Indeedee-F is a support Pokemon that mainly redirects attacks with Follow Me and sets up Trick Room. The Psychic Terrain that it sets up supports its teammates by protecting them from opposing priority moves like Sucker Punch and Fake Out. Follow Me provides redirection so that an allied Pokemon can safely set up Tailwind or Trick Room or set up with moves such as Annihilape's Bulk Up, Kingambit's Swords Dance, and Kommo-o's Clangorous Soul. Imprison prevents Trick Room from being set up by foes and shuts down the opponent's Follow Me Pokemon. Dazzling Gleam is mainly used to break opposing Pokemon that hold Focus Sash. Safety Goggles provides immunity to Amoonguss's Spore and Rage Powder while allowing Indeedee-F to use Follow Me to redirect Spore. Psychic Seed ensures that it takes attacks like Ursaluna-B's Blood Moon better. Rocky Helmet punishes any Pokemon that attack it with contact-making moves or have said attacks redirected to it. Some of these contact moves are Annihilape's Drain Punch and Rage Fist, Rillaboom's Wood Hammer, and Sneasler's Dire Claw and Close Combat. Rocky Helmet also has the ability to break Focus Sashes and threaten any Pokemon that use multi-hit moves, such as Maushold and its Population Bomb. Sitrus Berry helps out Indeedee-F's longevity by allowing it to survive moves like +4 Archaludon's Body Press and Pelipper's Weather Ball. Fairy is the best Tera type for Indeedee-F. It provides resistances to Kingambit's Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch, Archaludon's Body Press, and Sneasler's Close Combat and Throat Chop and an immunity to Dragon-type moves from Archaludon, Dragonite, Garchomp, and Dragapult. As a little bonus, it offers a STAB boost to Dazzling Gleam. Tera Grass gives Indeedee-F a resistance to Grass-type moves such as Rillaboom's Wood Hammer and Water-type moves such as Basculegion-M's Wave Crash and Pelipper's rain-boosted Weather Ball, which are its partners' most common weaknesses. Tera Grass also provides immunity to Amoonguss's Spore and redirection. However, if Indeedee-F uses Safety Goggles, Tera Grass is not recommended.

Set Details Indeedee-F is a great support option for many teams, utilizing its Normal typing to take no damage from Calyrex-S's Astral Barrage and Lunala's Moongeist Beam while also setting Psychic Terrain to not only shut off Miraidon's Electric Terrain but also to guard its teammates from priority moves such as Fake Out, as well as Sucker Punch and Thunderclap from Chien-Pao and Raging Bolt, respectively. Psychic provides Indeedee-F with a way to deal consistent damage, while Alluring Voice scares off Dark-types like Chien-Pao and Tera Dark Calyrex-S. Safety Goggles is useful for Indeedee-F to safely redirect Spore from Amoonguss and Smeargle, while Rocky Helmet punishes certain physical attackers, most notably Urshifu-R. Psychic Seed, although less common, is a good choice to help take on special attackers like the aforementioned Calyrex-S and Raging Bolt. If running a Trick Room team, a Relaxed Nature and 0 Speed IVs let Indeedee-F override Grassy Terrain against uninvested Rillaboom if both are sent on the field at the same time; it also lets Indeedee-F be as slow as possible for operating under Trick Room. Tera Water grants Indeedee-F a great defensive typing, helping it stomach moves such as Glacial Lance and Surging Strikes from Calyrex-I and Urshifu-R, respectively. Tera Fairy, on the other hand, most notably lets Indeedee-F resist Dark-types like Chi-Yu, Incineroar, and Chien-Pao. Although niche, Tera Fairy also boosts the power of Alluring Voice, letting it almost always OHKO Koraidon and securing the OHKO on Urshifu-S. Teambuilding Indeedee-F is very vulnerable to Taunt from the likes of Incineroar and Flutter Mane, as it severely hinders Indeedee-F's supportive capabilities and stops it from redirecting attacks or setting up Trick Room. Without Terastallization available, Dark-type attacks like Wicked Blow from Urshifu and Dark Pulse from Chi-Yu threaten Indeedee-F with a potential OHKO. Chien-Pao in particular is a big threat to Indeedee-F, as it not only threatens Indeedee-F with Crunch, but it can also remove Psychic Terrain with Ice Spinner. Miraidon and Rillaboom are able to override Indeedee-F's Psychic Terrain with their own respective Terrains, forcing Indeedee-F to switch out if it wants to set up Psychic Terrain again. Packing multiple Trick Room setters like Calyrex-I and Lunala can ensure that Taunt won't shut down Trick Room altogether. Said Trick Room setters benefit from Indeedee-F's access to Follow Me and Trick Room, potentially setting up Trick Room for the aforementioned Restricted Pokemon and protecting them while they sweep via redirection. Partners such as the Urshifu formes and Zamazenta-C are able to threaten Dark-types with a KO with Close Combat and Body Press, respectively. Zamazenta-C is notably able to almost completely wall out Chien-Pao, unless it has Sacred Sword. Running Alluring Voice or using Whimsicott can also help with Dark-types to an extent. Indeedee-F can help these partners more easily achieve these KOs with Helping Hand, or it can protect its allies from faster threats with Follow Me. Calyrex-I is able to easily take out Miraidon and Rillaboom, which can be achieved even easier thanks to Indeedee-F's access to Trick Room and Helping Hand. Calyrex-S and Lunala highly appreciate Indeedee-F's assistance, enabling powerful Expanding Forces with Psychic Terrain whilst helping Calyrex-S set up with Nasty Plot and Lunala set up Trick Room, thanks to Follow Me. Lunala in particular appreciates Indeedee-F's ability to set Trick Room. In return, Calyrex-S and Lunala can KO powerful threats such as Koraidon, which can threaten Indeedee-F with an OHKO.

Indeedee-F carves itself out a spot in the metagame as one of the only currently legal Pokemon with possession of Psychic Surge. With this, it is able to amplify the power of Pokemon using Expanding Force to extreme heights. Indeedee-F is also a generally great support option with access to redirection and speed control in Follow Me and Trick Room, respectively. To assist in its supportive capabilities, Indeedee-F can use Sitrus Berry to heal up, which lets it avoid 2HKOs from Sandsear Storm from Landorus, Ivy Cudgel from any Ogerpon forme, and Tera Normal Life Orb Ursaluna-B. Alternatively, Indeedee-F can use Safety Goggles to redirect Spore from Amoonguss, or it can use Psychic Seed to boost its survivability by allowing it to withstand powerful attacks such as Tera Normal Life Orb Blood Moon from Ursaluna-B. Trick Room gives Indeedee-F access to a crucial form of speed control, allowing allies like Hoopa-U and Ursaluna to move before their foes. Helping Hand helps boost the power of the aforementioned allies; Protect can be run over either option to help with positioning and defensive play. Psychic OHKOes Assault Vest Okidogi and 2HKOes non-Assault Vest Iron Hands thanks to the Psychic Terrain boost. Dazzling Gleam, on the other hand, can be used to deal chip damage across the field, breaking Focus Sash on Pokemon like Chien-Pao and Chi-Yu. The given EV spread, with Psychic Seed, lets Indeedee-F avoid a 2HKO from Earth Power from Landorus, with the rest going into Defense. Indeedee-F uses Tera Fairy to avoid getting KOed by powerful Dark-type attacks like Kowtow Cleave from Kingambit and Knock Off from Roaring Moon. Tera Fairy additionally gives Indeedee-F a useful resistance to Fighting-type attacks like Drain Punch from Iron Hands and Bug-type attacks like U-turn from Rillaboom all the while providing an immunity to Dragon-type attacks like Dragon Energy from Regidrago. Additionally, Tera Fairy allows Indeedee-F to completely wall most Calm Mind Raging Bolt sets, using Follow Me to redirect Dragon Pulse and shutting down Thunderclap with both Follow Me and Psychic Terrain. Indeedee-F is typically used on fast-paced teams consisting of Expanding Force users such as Hoopa-U and Hatterene, both of which appreciate its ability to set Trick Room and use Follow Me to let them set Trick Room and punch holes in the opposing team. Alternatively, Indeedee-F can be paired with Iron Crown, using Follow Me to protect it as Iron Crown launches Expanding Force or sets up with Calm Mind. Because of Indeedee-F's crippling Dark weakness, allies like Diancie and Iron Hands are greatly appreciated, as they can remove opposing Dark-types with Body Press and Drain Punch, respectively. These allies can also switch in on Dark-type attacks, allowing Indeedee-F to reset Terrain if it runs out, is removed by Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao, or is overridden by Rillaboom's Grassy Surge. Torkoal and Iron Crown are great partners for Indeedee-F, as they can threaten Rillaboom, which overrides Indeedee-F's Terrain with its own, and Chien-Pao, which threatens to remove Psychic Terrain with Ice Spinner, respectively. Chien-Pao also threatens huge damage into Indeedee-F with Throat Chop. Ogerpon-H is also a great partner, effectively removing Steel-types like Gholdengo and Kingambit to allow allies like Iron Crown and Regidrago to sweep more easily.
