White Kyurem Movesets & Competitive Sets

Choice Specs Kyurem-W is a fierce special attacker and amazing wallbreaker. Its good STAB moves in Ice Beam and Draco Meteor make it hard to safely switch into. Freeze-Dry gives it super effective coverage for Water-types, and Fusion Flare hits Steel-types that resist its STAB options. Running Life Orb and Roost over Choice Specs and Ice Beam lets Kyurem-W more freely switch up its moves and recover chip damage, but being significantly weaker than Choice Specs and not having an Ice-type move stronger then Freeze-Dry can hurt in certain situations where Ice Beam's higher damage would be useful. Due to its Stealth Rock weakness and lack of recovery, Kyurem-W can quickly become chipped down and therefore needs to be paired up with consistent Defoggers like Yveltal and Ho-Oh. Pokemon like Choice Scarf Calyrex-S, Kyogre, and Xerneas can clean late-game after Kyurem-W has punched holes in the opposing team. Since Kyurem-W has little defensive utility, you should pair it up with a defensive core it can fall back on; Pokemon like Necrozma-DM, Yveltal, and Ho-Oh make for teammates that can cover for its weaknesses. Yveltal is an especially potent teammate, as U-turn variants can pivot in Kyurem-W with ease against Pokemon like Groudon, Zygarde, and opposing Yveltal.

Moves Ice Beam is a powerful STAB move of one of the most effective attacking types in the tier. Draco Meteor is an even more powerful STAB option that inflicts massive damage on anything that doesn't resist it, although its use causes a sharp drop in Special Attack and is a dangerous move to get Choice-locked into. Fusion Flare gives Kyurem-W super effective coverage against Steel-types that resist its STAB moves, such as Necrozma-DM, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor. Roost can allow Life Orb Kyurem-W to avoid being worn down by stall teams and can even allow it to take some resisted hits from specific attackers such as physical Primal Kyogre, but it is useless against more offensive teams. Earth Power hits Steel-types that resist Kyurem-W's STAB attacks, notably including Magearna and Necrozma-DM. It also hits Primal Groudon harder than Ice Beam while still threatening Steel-types, which eases prediction, making it especially useful on a Choice Specs set. Set Details Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment help Kyurem-W perform its role as a wallbreaker effectively. A Timid nature allows Kyurem-W to outspeed prominent Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Geomancy Xerneas, and neutral-natured Yveltal and Speed tie with Rayquaza. While a Modest nature provides a notable boost in power, these matchups are common enough that it should not be used except on teams that can confidently switch into these threats. The decision between Life Orb and Choice Specs presents a significant trade-off. Life Orb allows Kyurem-W to avoid being taken advantage of by slower Steel- and Fairy-types that are neutrally hit by or resistant to some of its moves, which is particularly valuable given the popularity of Necrozma-DM. Choice Specs provides a significant boost in power but lets these bulkier Pokemon take advantage of Kyurem-W. Turboblaze is Kyurem-W's mandatory ability and is situationally useful against Lugia, which can be OHKOed with a Choice Specs-boosted Ice Beam. However, it notably does not allow Kyurem-W to hit through Shadow Shield or Prism Armor. Usage Tips Kyurem-W should be brought in on almost every free switch against most teams, since its massive power makes it incredibly difficult to switch into, and it can be hard to bring in otherwise. Making risky predictions can be very tempting early-game, but a play that risks losing Kyurem-W is usually only a wise choice if Kyurem-W has a bad matchup or the match is going badly. Kyurem-W is incredibly easy to take advantage of after using Draco Meteor, so the move should generally be used only to break more annoying walls such as a weakened Arceus-Water. Kyurem-W can scare out some faster Pokemon such as Arceus-Ground, Yveltal, and Mega Gengar if it has enough health, so play carefully, and avoid Stealth Rock damage if such Pokemon are on the opposing team. Be conscious of matchup when using Kyurem-W. It is usually worth keeping alive for late-game against stall teams, which often rely on a single role-compressed wall to handle low-usage attackers such as Kyurem-W. Against balance and bulky offense, Kyurem-W's workable speed and power allow it to take advantage of bulky Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, and these teams seldom have a safe switch-in to Kyurem-W, making it a solid early- and mid-game wallbreaker. Team Options Kyurem-W's great power is kept in check largely by its several defensive weaknesses, so it requires extensive team support to be able to work effectively. Kyurem-W invites a large weakness to Fairy-types such as Xerneas, so offensive checks like Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh are generally insufficient. A solid switch-in for these Pokemon such as Necrozma-DM, Mega Scizor, or Magearna is essential to stop potential sweeps. Mega Scizor and Magearna deserve a particular mention for their ability to respectively provide slow U-turns and Volt Switches for Kyurem-W, which can take advantage of them more than almost anything else in the tier. Kyurem-W needs entry hazard control, a role that support Arceus formes and Giratina-O can generally handle effectively, to be effective against most teams. In more offensively inclined teams, Choice Scarf Yveltal and Xerneas can effectively fill this role. Stealth Rock support is essential for Kyurem-W to stand a chance against the likes of Ho-Oh and Arceus-Water, so setters such as Primal Groudon, Arceus-Fairy, Necrozma-DM and Dialga are valuable partners. Kyurem-W also appreciates being paired with sweepers such as Mega Lucario, Mega Salamence, and Xerneas that value its ability to weaken shared checks such as Magearna, Arceus-Water, and Ho-Oh. Gothitelle is also a useful partner, as it can trap some of Kyurem-W's most reliable switch-ins such as Chansey and defensive Arceus formes. This combination is effective against defensive teams, although running two Pokemon with no defensive utility is difficult to compensate for when teambuilding. If case Kyurem-W uses Draco Meteor or is locked into the wrong move, sweepers can take advantage of it to set up. A revenge killer that can deal with them, such as Choice Scarf Yveltal or Marshadow, makes for a good teammate. Alternatively, offensive teams built around Sticky Web can try to rely on momentum to prevent the opponent from effectively taking advantage of Kyurem-W's weaknesses. Timid Kyurem-W outspeeds almost the entire tier under Sticky Web, including the likes of Deoxys-A and Pheromosa, making it extremely difficult to revenge kill. As such, Kyurem-W appreciates being partnered with Sticky Web setters such as Shuckle and Smeargle. Sticky Web teams are usually at an advantage against offense archetypes but struggle greatly with defensive teams, so a powerful wallbreaker like Kyurem-W goes a long way to improving this matchup.

Moves Ice Beam is Kyurem-W's spammable STAB move that will be its primary way of dealing damage. Draco Meteor acts as Kyurem-W's nuke, though it is rather risky to use with a Choice Scarf. Earth Power rounds out Kyurem-W's coverage and give it a way to revenge kill Mega Diancie, Choice Scarf Zekrom, and Dialga; it also hits Primal Groudon harder than Ice Beam. Fusion Flare is used to dispatch Ferrothorn, Aegislash, Jirachi, and Scizor, while Sleep Talk is a fine option to be able to absorb Dark Voids from Darkrai. Set Details A Modest nature with an EV spread 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe is used to allow Kyurem-W to Speed tie other neutral-natured Choice Scarf Kyurem-W and to provide it with enough power to plow through teams. Kyurem-W will also be able to switch into Stealth Rock four times with these EVs. Using a Timid nature will allow Kyurem-W to to Speed tie with other positive-natured base 95 Speed Pokemon, Xerneas, and Yveltal, but the loss in power can be a hassle. Usage Tips Rather than wallbreaking for its team, Choice Scarf Kyurem-W works as a late-game cleaner and revenge killer. Be very careful when attacking, as Kyurem-W can be easily taken advantage of when locked into a suboptimal move. It is highly beneficial to keep entry hazards up at all times due to Kyurem-W forcing a lot of switches. Having Stealth Rock off your side of the field is of major importance to allow Kyurem-W to switch in and out a lot. Also, try to preserve Kyurem-W until late-game and only come in to revenge kill, but only do this if its sweep won't get cut short by priority, such as Extreme Speed from Arceus. Team Options Choice Scarf Kyurem-W and Primal Groudon complement each other extremely nicely; Primal Groudon appreciates Kyurem-W's ability to revenge kill Arceus-Ground, and Kyurem-W likes to have Stealth Rock support and a safe answer for Geomancy Xerneas. Entry hazards are much appreciated because Kyurem-W forces many switches, so Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Klefki, and Dialga make for good partners. Phazing can help to wear down enemy teams before Kyurem-W attempts to sweep, so Primal Groudon, Dialga, and Primal Kyogre can be valuable partners. Stallbreakers such as Yveltal or Mega Gengar take care of Blissey and other bulky very Pokemon that Kyurem-W lacks coverage moves for. Entry hazard removal would be ideal, preferably in the form of Rapid Spin; however, only Excadrill and Forretress can do this, so you are usually better off using a Defogger such as Latios, Latias, Giratina-O, or a Defog Arceus of any type (though Fairy and Steel tend to pair well with Kyurem-W). A Ho-Oh check such as Arceus-Rock or any Pokemon with Rock- or Electric-type moves, such as Landorus-T, Blaziken, or Zekrom, is important because Ho-Oh can cut Kyurem-W's sweep short. An answer to Extreme Killer, such as physically defensive Yveltal, is also important.

Moves Ice Beam hits the majority of the tier at least neutrally and is able to 2HKO many Pokemon. Draco Meteor is used to destroy about anything in the tier once truly sturdy special walls and all Pokemon that resist or are immune to Dragon have been removed. Fusion Flare hits Steel-types such as Scizor, Ferrothorn, Jirachi, Genesect, Aegislash, and Bronzong for good damage. Focus Blast gets past Normal, Steel, and Arceus-Rock as well as Blissey and Shuca Berry Dialga. Earth Power is another option to hit Diancie and Primal Groudon hard while still dealing super effective damage to Dialga, though you have to be careful of Shuca Berry variants. Sleep Talk is used to act as a sleep absorber. Set Details 252 Special Attack EVs and Choice Specs grant Kyurem-W the power to break through nearly anything with the proper move. A Timid nature and maximum Speed investment give Kyurem-W the ability to Speed tie other positive-natured base 95 Speed Pokemon and outspeed neutral-natured Xerneas, Rayquaza, Yveltal, and opposing Kyurem-W. The remaining 4 EVs are placed into Special Defense rather than HP so that Kyurem-W can switch into Stealth Rock four times. A Modest nature can be used to further amplify Kyurem-W's damage output. Usage Tips Try bringing Kyurem-W in as often as possible during the early stages of the game and spam the appropriate coverage move. However, you should only lock Kyurem-W into Draco Meteor if you have removed all opposing Fairy- and Steel-types or if you have a dedicated answer to Geomancy Xerneas and Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy. Usually, Kyurem-W should spam Ice Beam, as it wears down even very bulky Pokemon that resist it, such as Primal Kyogre, really well, and it does so even better with Stealth Rock support. Keeping Stealth Rock set up on the opponent's side at all times is really useful, as it allows Choice Specs Kyurem-W to KO even the bulkiest of Pokemon in, at worst, two hits. You should be careful about letting Kyurem-W take damage, though getting poisoned or burned is not the end of the line, as Kyurem-W will rarely stay in more than two turns. Try to remove Stealth Rock from your own side of the field, as it will take away a chunk of Kyurem-W's health each time it switches in. Be especially careful if your opponent has an Arceus forme and has not yet revealed its type. It can help you out a lot to scout for an enemy Arceus forme, as Calm Mind Arceus is a very solid check to a Choice-locked Kyurem-W because Kyurem-W is unable to 2HKO after Arceus has one Calm Mind boost. Team Options Primal Groudon is one of the best partners for Kyurem-W because it can set up Stealth Rock, spread paralysis, take on Arceus-Fairy and Xerneas, and phaze foes while racking up Stealth Rock damage, helping Kyurem-W achieve OHKOs more easily. Geomancy Xerneas is also a very good partner, as Kyurem-W can either dispatch of or wear down Xerneas's checks. Phazing in general is greatly appreciated, so defensive variants of Primal Groudon, Dialga, and Primal Kyogre are fine choices for teammates. Furthermore, a teammate that can clean up after Kyurem-W is rather useful, such as Deoxys-A or Extreme Killer Arceus. U-turn and Volt Switch users such as Yveltal, Mega Scizor, and Zekrom can be great assets to get Kyurem-W in safely as often as possible. Additionally, a Pokemon that can deal with Ho-Oh is appreciated. Arceus-Rock can work nicely, but other Pokemon with Rock- or Electric-type moves such as Zekrom and Blaziken can handle Ho-Oh well enough. An answer to Extreme Killer Arceus is important, making physically defensive Yveltal a good choice. Finally, entry hazard removal would be ideal, with Rapid Spin being preferred as to not remove Stealth Rock from the opponent's side. However, because the only viable spinners in Ubers are Excadrill and Forretress, you are usually better off using a Defogger such as Latios, Latias, Giratina-O, or a support Arceus forme of any type (though Fairy and Steel tend to pair well with Kyurem-W).

Focus Blast is another option, but it is generally inferior because the only really notable thing you cannot hit without it is Dialga. However, with Focus Blast, Kyurem-W doesn't have to worry about Dialga carrying a Shuca Berry. Set Details A Timid nature with an EV spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe is used to give Kyurem-W the ability to Speed tie other positive-natured base 95 Speed Pokemon, outspeed neutral-natured Xerneas, Yveltal, Rayquaza, and other Kyurem-W, and switch into Stealth Rock four times. You can go for a Modest nature, which slightly boosts Kyurem-W's damage output. Usage Tips Kyurem-W is generally best off spamming Ice Beam while using its coverage moves accordingly. Only use Draco Meteor if you want to weaken an important check on your opponent's team or if you want to finish off a Pokemon that Kyurem-W can't KO with any other move. Also try keeping up entry hazards as long as possible, as Kyurem-W forces many switches. It is advisable to avoid status ailments, as they will wear down Kyurem-W faster in tandem with taking Life Orb recoil. Be wary of any Arceus on the opposing team, as Life Orb Kyurem-W cannot OHKO a 252 HP Arceus on the switch with Draco Meteor. Team Options Specially defensive Primal Groudon is Kyurem-W's best friend, as with Life Orb Kyurem-W has absolutely no way to break past Calm Mind Arceus formes and Arceus-Fairy without hax. Entry hazards are much appreciated because Kyurem-W forces many switches. Geomancy Xerneas is a very good partner, as Kyurem-W can dispatch every Xerneas check with its coverage moves. Calm Mind Arceus formes are even more threatening to Life Orb Kyurem-W, so Primal Groudon, Dialga, and Primal Kyogre are very valuable partners. Additionally, stallbreakers such as Yveltal and Mega Gengar are appreciated to get around Blissey or some Calm Mind Arceus formes, especially because with a Life Orb, Kyurem-W has no way to get past Blissey. A Defogger such as Latias, Latios, Giratina-O, or a Defog Arceus of any type (though Fairy and Steel tend to pair well with Kyurem-W) is useful. Arceus-Rock or any Pokemon with Rock- or Electric-type moves such as Zekrom or Blaziken can check Ho-Oh. Lastly, physically defensive Yveltal can act as an answer to Extreme Killer Arceus.

Kyurem-W's overpowering base 170 Special Attack and usable base 95 Speed make it a decent Choice Scarf user, despite its weakness to Stealth Rock. It can easily OHKO Darkrai with Draco Meteor or even Ice Beam if Darkrai has taken some prior damage and easily does over 60% to +1 Mewtwo, limiting its sweep. It is also an excellent Pokemon to stick on a sun team to take out troublesome Arceus-Ground, on a rain team to deal with Arceus-Grass, or on a sand team to crush Gliscor. Furthermore, while its base 95 Speed only allows Kyurem-W to Speed tie with Dragon Dance Rayquaza at best, it still outspeeds some of the common Uber Choice Scarf users that only have base 90 Speed, most notably Kyogre and Zekrom. If its counters are eliminated, Kyurem-W can easily clean up late-game by spamming Ice Beam from its 439 Special Attack. Draco Meteor and Ice Beam are pretty much essential; the other two moveslots are pretty much up to your tastes. Focus Blast is the preferred third move due to its overall coverage, but Fusion Flare and Earth Power can be used to take out Jirachi and Arceus-Steel in sun and rain, respectively. Outrage is the preferred last option, as Kyurem-W cannot OHKO Latias with a Calm Mind up without it. It might also allow Kyurem-W to 2HKO Blissey switch-ins as well as Kyogre variants that don't run a lot of bulk. However, Focus Blast can be used with Fusion Flare or Earth Power for maximum coverage, while Sleep Talk can allow Kyurem-W to operate as an effective sleep absorber against Darkrai. Blizzard can be used over Ice Beam if you have hail support but is generally not advised due to how difficult it is to keep hail up in Ubers. A Hasty or Timid nature along with max Speed investment allows Kyurem-W to outspeed as many threats as possible as well as Speed tie with Dragon Dance Rayquaza at worst. Rapid Spin helps Kyurem-W go a long way. Tentacruel, Forretress, Excadrill, and Kabutops are good Rapid Spin users in Ubers. Ho-Oh, Reshiram, Kyogre, Excadrill, Garchomp, and Arceus-Ground are all good at taking on Jirachi and Arceus-Steel, and bulky Steel-types are helpful for taking on faster Dragon-types such as Choice Scarf Palkia that try to revenge kill Kyurem-W. Strong physical attackers such as Groudon, Excadrill, Terrakion, and Extreme Killer Arceus are fine at setting up on Blissey and Chansey.

With base 170 Special Attack and two of the best STABs in the tier, it should not take a genius to figure out that Kyurem-W can run a Choice Specs set. With Specs attached, Kyurem-W reaches a sky-high 723 Special Attack (assuming a Modest nature), which means that it can obliterate virtually anything that switches in provided it picks the correct move. Kyurem-W's Draco Meteor is so powerful that it has around an 80% chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD Kyogre after Stealth Rock. It is even punching sizable holes into Blissey and bulky resists. For example, Blissey takes an average of 45% from a Modest Choice Specs Draco Meteor, and standard stallbreaker Heatran takes an average of 41% from the same attack. STAB Ice Beam is Kyurem-W's other main attraction. Even though it might seem redundant with Kyurem-W's Dragon STAB, Ice Beam hits more key threats than it might appear. It easily OHKOes Lugia, with Turboblaze negating Multiscale, and 2HKOes Ferrothorn and Ho-Oh without factoring in entry hazards. The last two moves brush up Kyurem-W's coverage, allowing it to hit everything that can take its STAB attacks. As inaccurate as Focus Blast is, it allows Kyurem-W to OHKO Tyranitar, Heatran (assuming Stealth Rock), and Arceus-Steel, as well as 2HKOing Blissey after Stealth Rock damage, assuming a Modest nature. The last move allows Kyurem-W to hit whatever is left, and depends on what weather you are running. Fusion Flare is best used if Kyurem-W can get sun support, as it OHKOes Jirachi and Bronzong in the sun, as well as OHKOing Arceus-Steel without having to resort to Focus Blast. Earth Power, on the other hand, is a better general move to use if you are not using a sun team to reliably 2HKO Jirachi, Bronzong (Turboblaze negates Levitate), and Arceus-Steel. The EVs used are as simple as they can get. Max Special Attack and Speed give Kyurem-W maximum offensive potential. The nature can be quite a hard decision to make, however. A Modest nature is preferred due to the sheer number OHKOs that it brings. With a Modest nature, Kyurem-W has a high chance to OHKO defensive Dialga and Kyogre with Draco Meteor, as well as 2HKO Blissey with Stealth Rock damage only. However, a Timid nature allows Kyurem-W to outrun the growing number of base 90 Speed Ubers that are running a positive Speed nature of their own, as well as Speed tie with Rayquaza, which in itself is huge. While hail is a rather difficult weather condition to keep up in Ubers, Blizzard is an excellent option on Kyurem-W if you do manage to keep it up. Choice Specs Blizzard is so powerful that it can 2HKO Choice Scarf Kyogre, assuming it hits both times. It also makes using Chansey to defend against Kyurem-W a lot harder, as it gets whittled down pretty easily with hail and entry hazards. One of Kyurem-W's biggest weaknesses is that it is extremely weak to entry hazards, especially to Stealth Rock. For this reason, spinners and Pokemon with Magic Bounce are very helpful to Kyurem-W's success. Tentacruel and Forretress are excellent defensive Rapid Spin users to use alongside Kyurem-W. Tentacruel has excellent special bulk and extra healing from the omnipresent rain, while Forretress synergizes extremely well with Kyurem-W. If you're after a more offensive Rapid Spin user, Excadrill and Kabutops are both good options. Xatu, and to a certain extent, Espeon, can also help to keep entry hazards off the field. Chansey is the only Pokemon that can avoid getting 2HKOed by any of Kyurem-W's attacks. Strong physical attackers are able to force her out and set up on her. Other than Chansey, specially defensive Jirachi and Bronzong are decent switch-ins, as they only fear Fusion Flare in the sun and Earth Power in Jirachi's case; Bronzong lacks recovery and will get whittled down quickly however. Arceus-Steel functions similarly, although on top of Fusion Flare and Earth Power, it also fears Focus Blast. Ho-Oh and Reshiram love switching into these Steel-types if you favor sunny weather. If your team is more rain-inclined, then Kyogre and other Water-types are good for drowning Jirachi and Arceus-Steel, and Excadrill, Garchomp, and Landorus make their lives difficult in the sand. Due to Kyurem-W's middling Speed, faster Dragon-types, Arceus with super effective STAB moves, and Terrakion can all revenge kill Kyurem-W fairly easily. The Giratina formes, Groudon, Landorus-T, and Gliscor are all good checks to Terrakion. Latias, Ho-Oh, and Mewtwo can easily take down Arceus-Fighting. As for Dragon-types, an Arceus-Steel of your own does well most of the time, while Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Forretress can switch into many Dragon-type attacks and set up entry hazards.

While the mind-blowing power of Choice Specs might be extremely tempting, Kyurem-W can tone down the firepower in exchange for the freedom to switch attacks. Draco Meteor and Ice Beam are Kyurem-W's two STAB moves that maim virtually everything that does not resist them. The last two slots are where things get interesting. Basically, Kyurem-W has two slots to make best use of five potential moves. Focus Blast and Roost are the most preferred as the former gives the widest coverage (despite its horrible accuracy) and the latter lets Kyurem-W recover off its numerous sources of residual damage. Fusion Flare and Earth Power provide more specific coverage in the third slot against Jirachi and Bronzong in the sun and the rain, respectively. In the final slot, Substitute is also an option for Kyurem-W to ease prediction as well as avoid being revenge killed. Alternatively, you can run a fourth coverage move. Kyurem-W has the ability to run a SubRoost set, but is generally lacking in coverage against key threats, such as Tyranitar and Arceus-Steel if it does, especially when the use of Substitute favors the use of Leftovers. While Draco Meteor and Ice Beam give very good coverage, Kyurem-W really likes an additional coverage move. As for other moves that Kyurem-W can use, Outrage is a decent option. It is a common strategy for players to send Kyogre into Kyurem-W after it gets a Special Attack drop from Draco Meteor, and Outrage allows Kyurem-W to 2HKO max HP Kyogre, as well as 2HKOing Chansey after Stealth Rock damage. Life Orb is the preferred item on Kyurem-W simply because of the power that it brings. However, Haban Berry can be used to bluff a Choice set to lure in Dragon-type revenge killers such as Palkia, survive the incoming Dragon-type attack, and KO another Pokemon at the same time. Leftovers works well with Substitute, as it gives Kyurem-W passive recovery that really helps its already flailing durability. The EVs are max Special Attack and max Speed for maximum offensive prowess. A Timid nature is preferred, as most of the OHKOs that a Modest nature can provide require the use of Choice Specs. As Choice Specs is not used on this set, a Timid nature is preferred so Kyurem-W is able to outspeed all the Ubers with base 90 Speed, as well as Speed tie with Rayquaza. Tentacruel, Forretress, Kabutops, and Excadrill are excellent Rapid Spin users for clearing away entry hazards that limit Kyurem-W's durability. Xatu and Espeon can help keep entry hazards off to a certain extent as well. In terms of Pokemon that Kyurem-W has trouble with, strong physical attackers can be used to set up on Chansey. Strong Fire-types such as Ho-Oh and Reshiram, strong Water-types such as Kyogre, Palkia and Swift Swimmers, and many sand sweepers such as Excadrill and Garchomp make Jirachi and Arceus-Steel's lives miserable in Kyurem-W's favor. The Giratina formes, Groudon, Lugia, and Gliscor are all good counters to Terrakion, and an Arceus-Steel of your own can take on most of the Dragon-types that run around in the Uber tier.
