Análisis

When holding an Assault Vest, Conkeldurr becomes a great special tank, allowing it to take on strong special attackers such as Keldeo, Hydreigon, and Greninja. Drain Punch allows Conkeldurr to maintain recovery, offsetting entry hazard damage. Ice Punch enables it to slam Thundurus, Latios, and Hydrapple. Knock Off is good general utility, removing Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Heavy-Duty Boots from Mandibuzz. Earthquake is a good alternative over either, letting Conkekdurr hit Fezandipiti, Skeledirge, and Toxapex. Mach Punch allows it to revenge kill Weavile, Excadrill, and Hydreigon. Conkeldurr prefers Guts, allowing it to benefit from status inflicted by Slowking, Heatran, and Fezandipiti. Iron Fist can be used as an alternative to give it a slight power boost, but switching into status moves is often too good to pass up. Tera Fairy lets Conkeldurr to take on Latios, Keldeo, and Hydreigon; Tera Ground boosts up Earthquake to OHKO Skeledirge and Fezandipiti; Tera Steel lets Conkeldurr take on Gardevoir and Latios even better, but makes it weaker against Keldeo. Assault Vest Conkeldurr is solid on bulky offense and balance teams as a reliable special sponge, letting it trade well for its other teammates. Partners such as Nasty Plot Hydeigon appreciate Conkeldurr absorbing hits from its checks such as Keldeo and Latios. Even with its high Attack, Conkeldurr appreciates entry hazard support from Skarmory, Tinkaton, and Gastrodon to push through teams more easily, especially since it can remove Heavy-Duty Boots from Thundurus. Conkeldurr also appreciates entry hazard removal from Donphan, Excadrill, and Mandibuzz to allow it to come in at high health and respond to the strong special attackers it is meant to check. Pivots such as Slowking and Lokix can bring Conkeldurr in on Excadrill, Tinkaton, and Heatran; Lokix is an especially a good partner, as it can act as a backup form of priority against Tera Ghost Excadrill or Weavile.

Análisis

Flame Orb Conkeldurr is an extremely threatening wallbreaker, using Drain Punch and Facade to punch holes in opposing teams and becoming immune to status when Flame Orb activates. Knock Off is invaluable coverage that allows Conkeldurr to hit Ghost-types such as Skeledirge and Sinistcha and remove items such as Rocky Helmet from Skarmory. Mach Punch allows Conkeldurr to deal with faster threats such as Weavile, Greninja, and Hydreigon. Tera Normal boosts the power of Facade to an extremely high level, allowing it to 2HKO Donphan and physically defensive Hydrapple. Conkeldurr is a slow Pokemon that thrives on balance and bulky offense teams as a wallbreaker. It does not want to hit the field directly, so pivots such as Slowking, Rotom-Wash, and Fezandipiti are appreciated. Slowking also provides Future Sight support, which can help weaken the opposing team, and helps bring Conkeldurr in on Dark-types such as Tyranitar and Hydreigon. Scizor gets a special mention, as it is able to wear down shared checks such as Skarmory and Donphan and use U-turn to bring Conkeldurr onto the field safely. Excadrill and Donphan provide Rapid Spin support, which is vital because Conkeldurr does not want to take chip damage from entry hazards. Steel-types such as Tinkaton and Metagross help check Latios and Gardevoir, both of which majorly threaten Conkeldurr.
