Análisis

Galarian Corsola walls Choice Specs Kyurem, Nidoking, Mega Diancie, and Mega Charizard Y with its Eviolite-boosted defenses and provides much-needed entry hazards in Stealth Rock for Ghost teams. Night Shade provides Galarian Corsola with a reliable form of damage to threaten these special attackers. Paired with Whirlpool, it has an easier time overcoming these threats, turning 3HKOs into 2HKOs. Mirror Coat allows Galarian Corsola to nab a surprise OHKO on Regieleki and Blacephalon, both of which deal too much damage for it to handle with just Night Shade. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp makes Galarian Corsola a solid check to physical attackers like Mega Lopunny and provides chip damage, similar to Whirlpool. Strength Sap gives Galarian Corsola a form of recovery and allows it to deal with Choice Band Excadrill and Mega Swampert. As Galarian Corsola is reliant on Eviolite to be a competent wall, Knock Off absorbers like Mega Sableye and Gholdengo with a Z crystal are appreciated. Mega Sableye also spreads burn on the opposing team, which helps Galarian Corsola take on physical attackers, and Gholdengo prevents Defog users like Corviknight from removing the hazards Galarian Corsola sets. Setup sweepers like Sinistcha, Mimikyu, and Ceruledge love Galarian Corsola's ability to handle Landorus, Tapu Lele, and Mega Diancie, and in return, they deal with Mega Swampert, Alolan Muk, and Toxapex, which Galarian Corsola struggles with. Hisuian Zoroark, Gengar, and Blacephalon appreciate the residual damage Galarian Corsola provides with entry hazards, and in return, Hisuian Zoroark provides a Ghost-immune teammate, and Blacephalon and Gengar clean teams late-game.
