Análisis
Thanks to STAB Meteor Beam, Lunatone shines in ZU as a niche wallbreaker, boosting its Special Attack and muscling past any neutral foe in a single turn. Psyshock hits Pokemon such as Sawk and Qwilfish, and is its main STAB move once Power Herb has been used. Earth Power is the coverage move of choice, hitting Steel-types Klinklang and Alolan Dugtrio, as well as Dark-types in Skuntank and Morpeko. Rock Polish allows Lunatone to outspeed common Choice Scarf users Sawk and Rotom and perform as a late-game cleaner. Stealth Rock is an option since Lunatone forces out common Defoggers like Articuno and Altaria. Lunatone fits well on offense builds, benefiting teams that are centered around stacking entry hazards by threatening common Defog users such as Articuno and Altaria. Pokemon that appreciate Klinklang and Rapidash being weakened such as Alcremie, Jynx, and Thwackey benefit from Lunatone's presence. As Lunatone relies on Rock Polish to outpace offensive threats and is weak to common attacking types in the meta, pivots such as Thwackey, Articuno, and Type: Null are appreciated to bring it in safety and provide setup opportunities. Checks to Grass- and Water-types are much needed, so Pokemon such as Tangela, Appletun, and Articuno, respectively, work well. Dark-types such as Skuntank and Silvally-Dark are also great partners, resisting opposing Dark- and Ghost-type attacks that threaten Lunatone.
