Analisi

Leafeon finds a niche on sun teams as a physical sweeper, utilizing its bulk to set up with Swords Dance and threaten foes with a Life Orb-boosted Solar Blade. Leaf Blade is a notable alternative over Solar Blade that, despite its lower damage output, provides a reliable STAB attack when sun is not up. Knock Off allows Leafeon to weaken Grass-resistant foes such as Ninetales, Tangela, and Silvally-Poison. Double-Edge gives Leafeon coverage against problematic foes like Skuntank, Altaria, and the aforementioned Ninetales and Silvally-Poison. Sun setters such as Uxie, Liepard, and Exeggutor are mandatory, as they enable Leafeon to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and let it utilize Solar Blade. Leafeon can form an attacking core with other sun sweepers such as Shiftry and Ivysaur, with all weakening each other's shared checks in Pokemon such as Skuntank. Fire-types such as Ninetales and Rapidash can also take advantage of sun to boost their STAB moves and threaten foes such as Tangela and Thwackey. Ground-types such as Piloswine and Rhydon can take advantage of Poison- and Fire-types that Leafeon invites in and use that opportunity to fire off a strong hit or set Stealth Rock; in return, they appreciate Leafeon threatening opposing Water-types like Poliwrath and Basculin.
