Quaxly fills a niche as an offensive spinner on teams weak to Pokemon like Hisuian Growlithe and Alolan Diglett. Investing 196 EVs into Speed brings Quaxly to the 14 Speed benchmark required to outspeed every unboosted Pokemon after a Rapid Spin boost. Brave Bird allows Quaxly to KO a knocked Foongus after Stealth Rock damage. Quaxly can Terastallize into a Flying-type to 2HKO knocked Mareanie or OHKO Eviolite Foongus after a Rapid Spin boost. Aqua Jet revenge kills many sweepers in the tier such as Tera Ground Vullaby, Hisuian Growlithe, and Alolan Diglett. Moxie can help Quaxly snowball and sweep as it gains boosts. Quaxly is best paired with Pokemon that appreciate entry hazard removal. Wingull is a good example due to its powerful STAB move combination can help Quaxly overwhelm its checks. Quaxly struggles to deal with Chinchou, so pairing it with Alolan Diglett or Choice Scarf Gothita is wise. Quaxly can also have a hard time picking up KOs on its own, so supporting it with entry hazards and Knock Off users such as Mudbray and Mienfoo is beneficial.
