Cetitan's unique combination of Slush Rush and Belly Drum make it a great snow sweeper for Ice teams. Cetitan is able to use Belly Drum in combination with Slush Rush to boost its Attack and Speed to some of the highest in the tier. Icicle Crash is Cetitan's best way of attacking, shredding most foes that aim to stand in its way. Ice Shard is used to pick off the few Choice Scarf users that outspeed Cetitan, such as Meowscarada, Enamorus, and Flutter Mane. Earthquake is useful for hitting the Steel-, Water- and Fire-types that resist Icicle Crash and Ice Shard, such as Heatran, Toxapex, and Ceruledge. Sitrus Berry is used to restore some of Cetitan's HP after Belly Drum, increasing its longevity. Since Cetitan needs snow to be able to fulfill its role, Alolan Ninetales is a mandatory teammate. Not only can Alolan Ninetales provide snow support, but it can also provide Aurora Veil support, further helping Cetitan stay on the field. Since Cetitan opts to use Sitrus Berry instead of Heavy-Duty Boots, teammates that can remove entry hazards are great support, such as Avalugg and Alolan Sandslash. Avalugg serves better as a dedicated defensive wall, while Alolan Sandslash can also take advantage of Slush Rush, Swords Dance, and Knock Off. Kyurem is excellent at dealing with Unaware walls that would otherwise ignore Cetitan's Belly Drum boost; it is able to use Freeze-Dry and defeat walls such as Quagsire and Dondozo while also having access to Earth Power, which defeats Skeledirge. Mamoswine is a good teammate, as it can provide hazard support to break Focus Sash and secure OHKOs on targets such as Corviknight, as well as soften the blow from Fire-type attacks.

Icicle Crash is the preferred STAB move because of its higher Base Power and the ability to ignore contact effects like Skarmory's Rocky Helmet and Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs; alternatively, the weaker Ice Spinner can be used for its higher accuracy. Earthquake targets Steel- and Fire-types like Gholdengo, Archaludon, Heatran, and Victini as well as Toxapex. Alternatively, Knock Off provides Cetitan with a way to threaten Slowbro and Rotom-W. Ice Shard, after a Belly Drum boost, allows Cetitan to pick off Choice Scarf foes like Sneasler and Iron Boulder, which outspeed it even in snow. A Jolly nature can also be used to allow Cetitan to outspeed Choice Scarf users like Blacephalon, Iron Moth, and Iron Treads in snow. Alolan Ninetales is an essential teammate for its ability to set snow and provide Aurora Veil support, facilitating Cetitan's sweeping capabilities. Kyurem and Alolan Ninetales also break through bulky Water-types like Slowbro and Rotom-W, which Cetitan may struggle against. With entry hazard support from Piloswine and Cloyster, Cetitan can OHKO threats like Skarmory, Corviknight, and Ferrothorn. Furthermore, Cloyster also provides hazard removal with Rapid Spin, increasing Cetitan's longevity.
