Eldegoss in return checks some of their switch-ins like Sandaconda and Jellicent while keeping them status free; other Pokemon that appreciate Eldegoss's cleric support are Togedemaru, Silvally-Ghost, and Perrserker, as they all must avoid burns to function at their best.

Heavy-Duty Boots keeps this offensive variant as healthy as possible, and it's especially useful versus Toxic Spikes. Pokemon such as Togedemaru, Archeops, and Charizard make for excellent teammates, as they can help lure in Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types such as Sandaconda, Gigalith, and Jellicent for Eldegoss. Eldegoss does well on Spikes-stacking teams, appreciate how they apply pressure with entry hazards, which helps gives it momentum to pivot in and spin. Doublade, Gigalith, Sandslash, and Eldegoss make an excellent base for one of these teams, as they help cover each other's weaknesses.
