Mega Alakazam is a powerful special wallbreaker and revenge killer by virtue of its nearly unparalleled Speed tier and sky-high Special Attack. Moongeist Beam provides coverage against opposing Psychic-types and Imposter users, and it also bypasses Ice Scales. Fleur Cannon OHKOes Yveltal and Dragon-types such as Mega Garchomp and Miraidon. Armor Cannon is the best coverage option against Steel-types like Mega Steelix and Registeel. Beads of Ruin provides a general power boost to all moves, but Psychic Surge allows Mega Alakazam to use Expanding Force, which is more spammable than Psycho Boost, and Psystrike, which crushes Blissey and RegenVest users like Primal Kyogre. Mega Alakazam appreciates support from Imposter users and Knock Off users to remove Assault Vest from RegenVest Pokemon that could otherwise wall what move it locks into and Leftovers from Blissey to make it easier to wear down. Entry hazard support from RegenVest users with Stone Axe and Spikes users such as Eternatus can help Mega Alakazam achieve 2HKOes on targets like Ice Scales Arceus formes. RegenVest users like Primal Kyogre can additionally provide slow pivoting to bring Mega Alakazam in safely, as it is frail and susceptible to status conditions; these can also Imposter-proof Mega Alakazam if it isn't using Psystrike. Other Imposter-proofing options include Imposter Chansey and Ice Scales walls neutral to its attacks like Ho-Oh.
