Analysis

Set Details Raging Bull is a strong Fire-type STAB move that doesn't have recoil damage and can break Aurora Veil from Alolan Ninetales, but due to its lower Base Power compared to Flare Blitz, it misses out on OHKOing Pokemon like Toxicroak, Klefki, and offensive Alolan Ninetales. Trailblaze gives Paldean Tauros-F the opportunity to outspeed faster threats like Inteleon, Kilowatrel, and Scyther. Earthquake lets Paldean Tauros-F deal with Poison-type foes like Alolan Muk and Overqwil as well as one of its best checks in Chandelure. Will-O-Wisp can be used to weaken Pokemon like Toxicroak, Basculegion-M, and Copperajah so that Paldean-Tauros-F can set up on them for free, but Will-O-Wisp gets rid of its only way of dealing damage to Chandelure. Leftovers recuperates any health lost from Flare Blitz's recoil and gives Paldean Tauros-F some longevity, while Heavy-Duty Boots enables it to repeatedly switch in without worrying about entry hazards. Tera Grass turns its Ground- and Water-type weaknesses into resistances while simultaneously boosting Trailblaze's power, giving it the chance to OHKO Gastrodon and 2HKO Swampert. Tera Electric is useful for its defensive merits such as the resistances to Kilowattrel's STAB attacks as well as Air Slash from Oricorio-P and Oricorio-F; it also gives Paldean Tauros-F an immunity to Klefki's Thunder Wave. Tera Steel gives Paldean Tauros-F a favorable matchup against Munkidori while also letting it resist Flying-type moves from the aforementioned Kilowattrel and Oricorio formes. Paldean Tauros-F enjoys being put on hyper offense and balance teams that take advantage of both its offensive prowess and defensive utility. It excels at threatening Steel- and Dark-types like Copperajah, Bronzong, and Incineroar, giving Psychic-type teammates like Munkidori, Uxie, and Galarian Articuno room to wallbreak or set up; all of these can pivot to Paldean Tauros-F with U-turn. In return, these aforementioned Pokemon threaten Poison-types that Paldean Tauros-F struggles with, like Galarian Slowbro, Tentacruel, and Tera Poison Vaporeon. Paldean Tauros-F also struggles with physically defensive Flying-types like Gligar, Altaria, and Galarian Articuno, which lets it pair well with Ice Beam users such as Porygon2, Vaporeon, and Milotic, as well as Diancie. Vaporeon's Wish heavily benefits Paldean Tauros-F, alleviating damage from Flare Blitz recoil and entry hazards. Bulky Dark- and Normal-types like Incineroar, Alolan Muk, Porygon2, and Dudunsparce pressure Ghost-types like Chandelure, Hisuian Typhlosion, and special attacking Basculegion-M. Dudunsparce and Porygon2 along with Klefki and Amoonguss can inflict paralysis on faster Pokemon like Munkidori, Inteleon, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Paldean Tauros-W, letting Paldean Tauros-F outspeed them and not worry about needing to use Trailblaze. Paldean Tauros-F also enjoys Alolan Ninetales's Aurora Veil on hyper offense teams to make it harder to be revenge killed.

Analysis

Set Details Choice Band turns Paldean Tauros-F into a dangerous wallbreaker, giving it the opportunity to 2HKO checks like Vaporeon, Milotic, and Galarian Slowbro. On the other hand, Choice Scarf enables it as a fast revenge killer, outspeeding the likes of Inteleon, Kilowattrel, and Flygon. Raging Bull should only be considered on Choice Band variants due to the extra power given by the item, as Choice Scarf sets need the extra power from Flare Blitz. Earthquake aims to take down Chandelure and Hisuian Typhlosion, which resist or are immune to both of Paldean Tauros-F's STAB attacks, as well as Poison-types like Alolan Muk, Overqwil, and Tera Poison Gastrodon. Stone Edge gives Paldean Tauros-F an edge over Flying-types like Scyther, Altaria, and Galarian Articuno. Wild Charge targets the aforementioned Flying-types as well as Water-types like Vaporeon and Milotic. Tera Fighting boosts the power of Close Combat, making it harder to switch into Paldean Tauros-F. Other Tera types like Electric and Steel can be used for their defensive traits like resisting Flying-type moves as well as Psychic-type moves for the latter. These sets fit best on balance and offensive teams that require a strong wallbreaker to beat Steel-types. Diancie, Munkidori, and Cinccino all appreciate Paldean Tauros-F's ability to threaten Steel-types like Bronzong, Copperajah, and Klefki. Choice Scarf Paldean Tauros-F enjoys Spikes from users like Diancie, Gastrodon, and Gligar to apply more pressure on checks like Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Tera Water Amoonguss. Choice Band variants enjoy the presence of Choice Scarf users like Flygon, Munkidori, and Porygon-Z to take down faster foes like Munkidori, Scream Tail, and Choice Scarf Chandelure. Kilowattrel pairs especially well with Paldean Tauros-F thanks to its solid matchup against Water- and Flying-types like Vaporeon, Paldean Tauros-W, and Scyther; in return, Paldean Tauros-F can take down Gastrodon, Incineroar, and Bronzong. Wish passers like Vaporeon and Sylveon work well alongside Paldean Tauros-F to alleviate any residual damage from entry hazards and recoil from Flare Blitz. Water-types tend to be a thorn in Paldean Tauros-F's side, so Pokemon like Flygon and Scyther that can weaken them over a battle fit well alongside it. Paldean Tauros-F appreciates the presence of a Steel-type to pivot into its checks, whether it's Bronzong for handling Munkidori and Flygon, Copperajah helping with Kilowattrel and Galarian Articuno, or Klefki laying Spikes and switching into Scyther and Galarian Slowbro. Dark-types like Incineroar and Alolan Muk help beat down Chandelure and Hisuian Typhlosion, while Wo-Chien targets Basculegion-M. Grassy Terrain teams enjoy the utility of Paldean Tauros-F, using it as a safe pivot to weaken Pokemon like Incineroar and Flygon that threaten Oricorio-P and Grafaiai. Paldean Tauros-F appreciates Avalugg, Scyther, and Altaria to remove any hazards so that it can switch in more. Future Sight users like Galarian Articuno love partnering with Paldean Tauros-F because it threatens any potential switch-ins to Future Sight like Bronzong, Copperajah, Incineroar, and Alolan Muk.
