Moonblast defeats a wide range of threats like Hoopa-U, Raging Bolt, and Choice item Iron Valiant. Power Gem allows Diancie to beat non-stall Zapdos variants and Volcarona even after it has boosted once with Quiver Dance. Earth Power should be used against Iron Moth and Heatran. Psychic lets Diancie defeat Air Balloon Pecharunt and guarantees an OHKO against Normal Gem Sneasler. Alternatively, Flash Cannon can be used against opposing Diancie. The EV spread allows Diancie to tank two Thunderbolts from Special Attack Booster Energy Raging Bolt. Diancie struggles against Steel-type foes like Metagross, Iron Crown, and Hisuian Goodra; therefore, teammates like Volcarona, Ursaluna, and Volcanion are appreciated. Diancie also struggles against Encore + Disable variations of Alolan Ninetales and Iron Valiant, so it's mandatory to have a teammate that can handle both of them, such as Volcarona and Iron Crown.

戰術分析
Diancie's typing and access to Encore let it find a niche in the 1v1 metagame as a bulky attacker that matches up well against several of the tier's Fighting- and Dark-type Pokemon, such as Iron Valiant and Hoopa-U. Diamond Storm hits Pokemon like Volcarona and Kyurem. Both Play Rough and Moonblast can threaten Dragon- and Dark-type Pokemon like Haxorus, Raging Bolt, and Hoopa-U, with the former threatening Hoopa-U a lot more and the latter being more helpful against Raging Bolt. Trick Room is incredibly useful for Diancie, as it enables the use of a fast Encore after the first turn of the battle, which locks several stall and setup Pokemon, like Alolan Ninetales and Espathra, into using only one of their moves. The Special Defense EVs are enough to let Diancie survive two Thunderbolts from Special Attack Booster Energy Raging Bolt, while the Attack EVs allow it to OHKO most Hoopa-U with Play Rough. Finally, the Defense EVs allow Diancie to survive two Choice Band Spirit Breaks from Jolly Iron Valiant. Diancie can also run an EV spread of 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 Def with a Relaxed nature, which gives it the best odds to survive a Choice Band Flower Trick from Adamant Meowscarada. It is better to run Moonblast on this variant as it grants Diancie better odds against Raging Bolt. Since Diancie tends to struggle with Steel- and Grass-type Pokemon like Iron Crown and Ogerpon-W, Fire-type teammates like Volcanion can be useful.

戰術分析
Diancie is a premier Trick Room attacker due to its fantastic bulk that allows it to set Trick Room for itself repeatedly. It also allows Diancie to snowball out of control while stacking Defense boosts from Diamond Storm, which hits a majority of the metagame for at least neutral damage and makes Diancie extremely difficult to remove with physical attacks. Diancie's ability, Clear Body, provides crucial immunity to Intimidate that would otherwise be a nuisance to Diancie's damage output throughout the game. Defense boosts from the aforementioned Diamond Storm create a threatening combination with Body Press, allowing Diancie to deal strong single target damage that the majority of the metagame does not resist and trade damage with opposing Trick Room attackers like Iron Hands. Diancie runs Hard Stone to further boost the spread damage of STAB Diamond Storm. Hard Stone also allows Diancie to make consistent progress into one of its biggest checks, Landorus. Hard Stone can often be replaced with Covert Cloak to assist with its capability to set and make the most of Trick Room. It is used to block Fake Out, which would otherwise inhibit Diancie's ability to position itself to fire off attacks or set Trick Room. Conversely, Leftovers are used to increase Diancie's longevity and make use of its immense natural bulk. Diancie has two premier Tera types. Tera Dragon is the most common and used to resist Water- and Grass-type attacks while being better into Landorus Sludge Bomb. Another thing to consider with Tera Dragon is the lack of threatening Fairy-type attacks in the metagame to punish it. Tera Grass is used to let Diancie resist Ground-, Grass-, and Water-type attacks, as well as improving its matchup into Amoonguss, which moves before Diancie in Trick Room. Minimum Speed investment with 0 Speed IVs is optimal on most Diancie sets due to its threatening presence in Trick Room; once the dimensions have been twisted, it moves before threats like Ursaluna-B. Common checks to Diancie include Gholdengo and Landorus because of their consistent ability to OHKO Diancie. Gholdengo is especially threatening to Diancie because it is immune to Body Press and resists Diamond Storm while threatening a OHKO back. Ogerpon formes deal threatening Grass-type damage, and Ogerpon-W in particular has a super effective Ivy Cudgel. The Ursaluna formes are also threatening for Diancie, threatening OHKOes before Diancie has Terastallized and Speed tying Diancie in Trick Room, making them troublesome for it to defeat. Okidogi can also prove difficult for Diancie, as it resists both its attacking moves and threatens large damage in return. Good teammates for Diancie include Pokemon that can threaten its checks, which include Gholdengo and Iron Hands. Ogerpon-H and Ogerpon-W are often paired with Diancie due to Follow Me redirection, and their strong STAB combinations complement Diancie. Ogerpon-H is often paired with Diancie to threaten Gholdengo, and Ogerpon-W threatens Landorus. Roaring Moon and Landorus are strong additions to Diancie cores to provide a faster mode and threaten aforementioned threats to Diancie like Okidogi and Gholdengo. Trick Room attackers like Ursaluna and Torkoal that take advantage of Diancie's ability to set Trick Room and healing partners like Sinistcha and Amoonguss that increase Diancie's longevity are also greatly appreciated. Fake Out support from Pokemon like Rillaboom and Incineroar is appreciated by Diancie, allowing it to use Trick Room more easily. The latter is able to enhance Diancie's natural bulk due to its Intimidate.

戰術分析
Mega Diancie functions as an amazing hyper offense lead, being able to set up Stealth Rock behind Substitute while also denying opposing entry hazards via Magic Bounce. Mega Diancie's main niche over other hazard setters is its ability to deny hazards from Pokemon such as Glimmora and Landorus-T, as well as blocking Taunt and Encore from Pokemon like Tornadus-T and Iron Valiant, making it harder for them to deny hazards. Endeavor lets Mega Diancie heavily chip Moonblast switch-ins like Moltres, Corviknight, and Heatran when at low HP. Staying in base forme is often an option in order to set Stealth Rock on faster Pokemon due to Diancie's superior bulk. 240 HP EVs allow Mega Diancie to set Substitute four times as opposed to three, leaving Mega Diancie at 1 HP to use Endeavor with. Being a hyper offense lead, Mega Diancie's main function is to set entry hazards to enable one of the archetype's many sweepers to punch through defensive cores and win the game, often being able to give them a free switch in by wearing itself down via Substitute. Examples of Pokemon that benefit from these hazards include Kingambit, Volcarona, and Great Tusk, since they all appreciate Stealth Rock chipping down Pokemon such as Corviknight, Heatran, and Landorus-T for them to break through more easily. However, lead Mega Diancie can sometimes be threatened by super effective attacks from faster foes such as Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, as well as by strong priority moves from Pokemon such as Choice Band Rillaboom and Mega Scizor. These can be taken care of by partners such as Dragonite, which can safely switch in on Urshifu-R, Landorus-T, and Rillaboom, and Volcarona, which switches in on and threatens Rillaboom and Mega Scizor with its strong STAB moves.

戰術分析
Mega Diancie is a very potent wallbreaker that applies a lot of offensive pressure to bulky offense and balance builds, threatening Pokemon such as Zapdos, Raging Bolt, and Great Tusk. Mega Diancie’s coverage further cements its role as a wallbreaker; for example, Earth Power hits foes such as Heatran, Gholdengo, Melmetal, and Toxapex that would otherwise come in safely on its STAB moves. Mystical Fire provides even more coverage, hitting foes such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor. Power Gem avoids the drawback of possibly forcing Mega Diancie to run a nature that decreases Defense or Special Defense, improving its ability to take on Pokemon such as Raging Bolt. Mega Diancie does well versus common forms of entry hazard removal such as Terapagos lacking Earth Power, Great Tusk, Zapdos, and Tornadus-T. Mega Diancie is a unique hazard setter that can set up hazards while denying common opposing hazard setters in Heatran and Mega Tyranitar. 28 Attack EVs allow Mega Diancie to 2HKO Galarian Slowking with Diamond Storm. Mega Diancie fits on bulky offense teams and pairs well with Pokemon such as Great Tusk, Ferrothorn, and Landorus-T that appreciate it due to its ability to threaten and force out Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Volcarona, Zapdos, and Hisuian Samurott with its STAB attacks. In return, Great Tusk and Landorus-T check threats such as Mega Lopunny, Iron Head Kingambit, and Assault Vest Melmetal, which threaten Mega Diancie directly. Landorus-T also brings Mega Diancie in safely with a U-turn against Pokemon that like to come in on it such as Tornadus-T, Mega Charizard Y, and Great Tusk, which Mega Diancie punishes. Mega Diancie tends to struggle with fast offensive Water-types such as Ogerpon-W, Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, and Mega Swampert in the rain. Thus, Pokemon such as Dragonite, Raging Bolt, and Ferrothorn can keep these foes in check.

戰術分析
Mega Diancie is a great lead for offense teams thanks to its STAB combination that threatens the main Defoggers in the metagame, which include Ho-Oh, Giratina-O, and Yveltal, combined with its ability Magic Bounce, which allows it to serve as an anti-lead to all other suicide leads in the tier, notably including Deoxys-S, Shuckle, Smeargle, and Glimmora. Once Mega Diancie can't do much else in the field, Explosion allows it to KO itself, wear down a foe, and let an ally safely come in afterwards. Earth Power is an alternative to OHKO Glimmora and situationally hit common switch-ins in Primal Groudon, Zacian-C, and Necrozma-DM. The given EV spread lets Mega Diancie avoid an OHKO from Choice Band Tera Flying Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent and Choice Band Marshadow's Low Kick after Stealth Rock as well as a 2HKO from Life Orb Yveltal's Dark Pulse while ensuring that it outspeeds neutral-natured foes with base 120 Speed, such as Palkia-O and Mega Salamence, on top of OHKOing specially offensive Yveltal with Moonblast. Especially against non-hyper offense teams, if at Team Preview it's clear that Mega Diancie's relative lack of Speed and frail nature for the metagame may render it outsped and OHKOed, it should be kept for the mid-game, where it can come into foes such as Yveltal, Ho-Oh, and Giratina-O to force a switch while setting at least one entry hazard. Mega Diancie has significantly higher bulk before Mega Evolving, so it may be desirable to Mega Evolve it later on to withstand an attack such as unboosted Mega Salamence's Earthquake or defensive Arceus-Ground's Judgment. In very niche scenarios where Sticky Web manages to get into its side of the field, preserving Diancie's Mega Evolution to keep Clear Body for the mid-game can help preserve Diancie's Speed. Clear Body can also be used to avoid being hindered by Glimmora's Mud Shot, but this also can let Glimmora lay entry hazards instead in the event of an incorrect prediction. Faster foes such as Zacian-C, offensive Arceus-Water, and Deoxys-A can prevent Mega Diancie from doing anything by immediately OHKOing it. Allies such as Primal Groudon, Yveltal, and Necrozma-DM act as good partners to mitigate this issue by providing alternatives to play around them. Mega Diancie can become setup fodder to foes such as Necrozma-DM, Primal Groudon, and Zacian-C. Ditto is a solid partner to punish setup sweepers and mitigate the potential vulnerability to them.

戰術分析
Mega Diancie's unique typing allows it to be a powerful mixed wallbreaker in the tier, since its coverage is quite difficult to pivot around for standard defensive structures, which include Pokemon such as Ho-Oh, Zygarde, Arceus-Dark, Yveltal, and Giratina-O. Mega Diancie's typing also has niche defensive utility, allowing it to soft-check Yveltal, Chi-Yu, Rayquaza, and unboosted Mega Salamence. Its ability in Magic Bounce plays a vital role against hyper offense structures barring Trick Room, since being able to deny entry hazard leads such as Deoxys-S, Smeargle, and Shuckle, effectively anti-leading them, is great for defensive partners such as Primal Groudon and support Arceus formes that cannot hold Heavy-Duty Boots. Mega Diancie is also fantastic against stall because of this ability, since it counters Giratina and non-Sludge Bomb Eternatus. This role compression makes Mega Diancie a fantastic tool for bulky offense and balance teams that need a Pokemon that does well against all playstyles in the tier if positioned correctly. Earth Power is necessary to hit Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, and Zacian-C super effectively, allowing Mega Diancie to punish them for recklessly switching in. Substitute enables Mega Diancie to ease prediction against potential switches, as well as giving Mega Diancie the chance to wallbreak further thanks to the Substitute protecting it from faster threats such as Arceus-Ground and Zacian-C. Substitute also lets Mega Diancie block Nuzzle from Smeargle, effectively walling it while denying Sticky Web. Alternatively, since Mega Diancie is able to beat all the common Defoggers in the tier, including Ho-Oh, Giratina-O, and Yveltal, it makes for a powerful Stealth Rock user, as it is able to make progress against a predicted switch from Arceus-Dark or Rayquaza. Spikes is also a viable option, but Mega Diancie's poor longevity means it cannot stack multiple Spike layers throughout a game consistently, even if the second layer aids greatly in wallbreaking similarly to Stealth Rock. The default EV spread allows Mega Diancie's Diamond Storm to 2HKO Lunala after Stealth Rock, and OHKO Rayquaza. Mega Diancie's SpA EVs enable Moonblast to OHKO defensive Zygarde after a layer of Spikes, and to 2HKO Dondozo, with Earth Power also 2HKOing defensive Primal Groudon. The defensive investment avoids a 2HKO from Chi-Yu's Flamethrower after Stealth Rock, and from offensive Ho-Oh's Brave Bird, all while also outspeeding neutral-natured base-120 Speed Pokemon such as Arceus, Mega Salamence, and Palkia-O. The alternate spread enables Mega Diancie to also avoid an OHKO from Pheromosa's Triple Axel, but it shouldn't be used alongside Substitute as it has an even amount of HP, which hinders the usage of such move. Mega Evolving Diancie should be done as soon as possible to make the most out of Magic Bounce, which is needed to bounce back status conditions from Giratina-O, Alomomola, and Eternatus, as well as deny entry hazards from Ferrothorn and Primal Groudon, even if the latter is quite risky due to Mega Diancie's poor bulk. It should be noted that Mega Diancie can induce mind games against Mud Shot Glimmora when anti-leading it, since Clear Body pre-Mega Evolution protects Diancie from Mud Shot's Speed drop, meaning Mega Diancie can decide not to Mega Evolve to more easily 2HKO Glimmora and deny it from setting up entry hazards. This process is quite risky to pull off though, since it is effectively a coinflip as to whether Glimmora uses Stealth Rock or Mud Shot. Although Mega Diancie can easily switch Ho-Oh and remove it via Diamond Storm, it should be careful around Ho-Oh, since Sacred Fire possibly burning Mega Diancie is a massive hinderance to its wallbreaking capabilities, especially against stall teams, where Pressure from Giratina and Eternatus quickly drains Diamond Storm's limited PP. Diamond Storm should not be recklessly spammed, as its needed to actually break through these cores in stall and bulky balance teams. Mega Diancie struggles against Primal Groudon, Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM, Zacian-C, and Primal Kyogre, since they are all able to withstand its attacks and OHKO it back with ease, or in Zacian-C's case, it can outspeed and set up on it first. On the bulky offense teams Mega Diancie fits well on, a defensive backbone is essential to control these threats. Zygarde is able to control Primal Groudon with ease; Tera Water sets can also contain Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM for Mega Diancie, while Tera Fairy variants shut down Dragon Dance Zygarde, which is able to use Mega Diancie as setup fodder thanks to Tera Ground removing its Moonblast weakness. Yveltal can either utilize Choice Scarf to revenge kill Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM and boosted Zacian-C for Mega Diancie, or it can use its Life Orb set with Sucker Punch to revenge kill Ultra Necrozma and Deoxys-A for Mega Diancie; Yveltal and Mega Diancie additionally form a potent wallbreaking duo for the team. Finally, defensive Primal Groudon can form a strong entry hazard-stacking core with Mega Diancie, while Mega Diancie beats Giratina-O for it. Offensive Primal Groudon sets appreciate Mega Diancie setting entry hazards for it to more easily wallbreak. Both Primal Groudon sets are able to handle Zacian-C and Primal Kyogre for Mega Diancie. Choice Scarf Yveltal is an especially good teammate, since it can pivot into Mega Diancie via U-turn, which is an important need for Mega Diancie due to its poor bulk. Yveltal can pivot Diancie in against bulkier foes such as Coil Zygarde and defensive Ho-Oh that switch in place of Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM. Another pivoting teammate includes Landorus-T, which checks Zacian-C and Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground for Mega Diancie while letting Mega Diancie run Substitute or Spikes, as Landorus-T commonly runs Stealth Rock. Life Orb Yveltal and other offensive teammates such as Choice Band Marshadow and Meteor Beam Eternatus appreciate Mega Diancie setting entry hazards for them to break through defensive cores more easily, with the latter two Pokemon also appreciating Mega Diancie pressuring stall teams early on for them to clean up afterwards.

Mega Diancie is the ideal Mega Evolution for Rock teams due to its ability to check Dragon-types like Kommo-o, punish passive Pokemon and entry hazard setters such as Toxapex and Klefki with Magic Bounce, and be a mixed wallbreaker that threatens Great Tusk and Galarian Slowking. Diamond Storm does considerable damage to special walls like Blissey and Alolan Muk and can also provide a Defense boost. Psychic heavily damages Mega Venusaur, Toxapex, and Nidoking, which eases the matchup against Poison teams. Earth Power deals heavy damage to Steel-type Pokemon like Heatran and Iron Treads and is paired nicely with Mystical Fire to damage Skarmory and Corviknight. On a hyper offensive team, Mega Diancie runs four attacks for coverage. With Shuckle's Sticky Web up, its good Speed tier becomes more devastating and outspeeds Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Zeraora. Mega Diancie also pairs well with Omastar and Terrakion, as Omastar takes care of the Ground matchup with a well-timed Shell Smash, while Terrakion's access to Earthquake and Close Combat takes care of most Steel-types. On bulky offense, Mega Diancie prefers to run Spikes, as the chip damage sets up a potential late-game cleanup from more offensive Pokemon on the team like Terrakion and Nihilego. Garganacl pairs well with Spikes, as Salt Cure forces a lot of Pokemon to switch out and take additional chip damage.

Mega Diancie is a valuable asset to Fairy teams, featuring Magic Bounce to deflect entry hazards and status, wide coverage, and strong offensive capabilities with its high Speed. Diamond Storm often increases Mega Diancie's bulk and threatens foes like Enamorus and Mega Charizard Y. Moonblast handles threats like Mega Sableye and Latias. Earth Power can be used to counter Steel teams, OHKOing Heatran, Excadrill, and Magnezone, while dealing heavy damage to the likes of Skeledirge and Garganacl. Mystical Fire targets Steel-types that don't mind Earth Power, such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor under Psychic Terrain. Alternatively, Mega Diancie can run Nature Power and use the various terrains set by its teammates to expand its wallbreaking abilities. Stealth Rock can be used to allow Mega Diancie to set its own hazard, but four attacks are recommended given Mega Diancie's wide coverage. Klefki provides Spikes and dual screens support which allows Mega Diancie to OHKO threats like Gholdengo, and it can also carry Thunder Wave to let Mega Diancie outspeed and take out threats like Mega Gallade and Mega Aerodactyl. Tapu Koko takes on Water-types and aids in the Steel matchup by forcing out Corviknight and Celesteela. Tapu Bulu counters Ground- and Water-types like Great Tusk and Urshifu-R, while Tapu Lele takes on Poison-types and prevents priority moves from Azumarill and Mega Scizor. Iron Valiant is a great partner for the Steel matchup, but it also benefits from Tapu Koko's Electric Terrain to outspeed and take out faster threats such as Zeraora and Greninja. All of these teammates appreciate Mega Diancie's ability to bounce hazards back to the opponent, as Fairy teams do not possess entry hazard removal.

Set Details Diancie excels as a Stealth Rock setter and cleric because it easily forces out several common Pokemon, including Salazzle, Scrafty, and Talonflame, giving it ample opportunity to get Stealth Rock up or cleanse its team of status. As an alternative to Heal Bell, Moonblast pressures Passimian and Toxicroak, gets chip damage off on Golurk, and makes it harder for Xatu to PP stall Diancie. The EV spread lets Diancie outrun maximum Speed Guzzlord in addition to other threats like Jolly Glastrier and Vaporeon. The biggest benefit to using Diancie is that other potential Stealth Rock setters can utilize other sets and moves. Copperajah is the most notable example, being freed up to run Assault Vest and make better use of its great offensive potential. Diancie is also a phenomenal Talonflame answer, so Pokemon like Passimian and Decidueye pair well with it. Passimian in particular greatly appreciates Diancie's cleric support when up against Flame Body Talonflame. Ground-types like Golurk, Mudsdale, and Palossand are hard stops to Diancie, so pair it with Pokemon like Rotom-C, Starmie, and Vileplume that can handle such foes.

戰術分析
Diancie's good typing and bulk give it many opportunities to lay down Stealth Rock safely. Body Press deals with Steel-types such as Registeel, Lucario, and Stakataka that try to take advantage of Diancie and has good synergy with Diamond Storm's high chance to boost Defense. Heal Bell is also a great choice, since it makes Diancie less susceptible to status and can relieve a teammate from the cleric role. Toxic cripples bulky foes such as Gastrodon, Milotic, and Dhelmise and gives a better matchup against Togekiss, since bulky variants can stall out Diamond Storm with Roost. 20 Speed EVs allow Diancie to outspeed Sassy Incineroar. This investment also allows Diancie to outspeed standard Golisopod, and alongside 20 Attack EVs, always activate its Emergency Exit with Diamond Storm. The remaining EVs are invested into HP and Special Defense to better check threats such as Togekiss, Noivern, and Gardevoir. A more physically defensive spread can be run to better check physical threats such as Entei with the nice additional effect of a strong Body Press. Balance and bulky offense teams appreciate Diancie reliably setting Stealth Rock and checking common threats such as Togekiss, Noivern, and Chandelure. Grass-types such as Roserade, Celebi, Rotom-C, and Dhelmise are great teammates for Diancie, as they take on Water-types such as Milotic, Starmie, and Gastrodon while also handling Raikou and Xurkitree. The first two mentioned also act as status absorbers, while the last two are reliable entry hazard removers. In return, Diancie checks Fire- and Flying-types like Chandelure, Noivern, and Crobat. Electric-types such as Xurkitree and Raikou also deal with Water-types and beat Xatu and bulky Togekiss, which Diancie struggles with, especially if it lacks Toxic. Flying-types like Noivern, Crobat, and Talonflame check troublesome Grass-types like Roserade and Dhelmise, provide Defog support, and offer an important Ground immunity. Bulky Water- and Ground-types such as Milotic, Gastrodon, and defensive Flygon check offensive Steel-types like Metagross and Lucario. Fighting-types such as Heracross, Pangoro, and Lucario, on the other hand, check defensive Steel-types like Bronzong and Steelix for Diancie. They appreciate its ability to check Flying-types for them and lay down Stealth Rock. Umbreon and Vaporeon are great teammates for Diancie, since they provide Wish support and check various threats that Diancie cannot check such as Nidoqueen, Sharpedo, and Starmie. In return, Diancie relieves them of the cleric role. Ghost- and Dark-types such as Chandelure, Incineroar, and Guzzlord check Calm Mind Reuniclus, Nasty Plot Celebi, and the common spinners Starmie and Dhelmise reliably, which take huge advantage of Diancie. The Spikes setters Roserade and Golisopod have good defensive synergy with Diancie and form a decent hazard-stacking core with it.

Diamond Storm is a strong spread STAB attack with minimal resistances in the tier and hits Pokemon such as Kyurem-B and Incineroar super effectively. Successfully gaining Defense boosts also aids Diancie against physical attackers such as Rillaboom and Zygarde. Moonblast covers common Diamond Storm switch-ins such as Urshifu-R and Zygarde. Trick Room is an excellent form of speed control that lets Diancie control the pace of the game. It is useful for letting both itself and its partners move first while also deterring setup from Dragon Dance Kyurem-B and Zygarde. Protect keeps Diancie safe for a turn while a support teammate, such as a Fake Out or redirection user, switches in to aid in setting up Trick Room. Weakness Policy works well with Diancie's phenomenal bulk and weaknesses to common types such as Water and Grass. Safety Goggles ignores Spore and redirection attempts from Amoonguss, one of the best Pokemon against Trick Room. Clear Body lets Diancie ignore Intimidate and Parting Shot from Incineroar, rending standard means of decreasing damage from physical attackers useless. A Sassy nature lets Diancie live a Steam Eruption from Volcanion and usually move first under Trick Room when combined with minimum Speed IVs. The remaining EVs are dumped into Attack to boost Diamond Storm. A Brave nature can be used instead of Sassy to hit as hard as possible. Additionally, 104 EVs can be shifted from Attack to Special Attack to secure the OHKO on Urshifu-R with Moonblast.

Mega Diancie’s ability to pressure most of the Defoggers in the tier makes it a potent offensive Stealth Rock setter. In addition, it‘s a terrific wallbreaker thanks to its incredible offenses and good Speed in conjunction with colorful coverage. Diamond Storm is preferred over Power Gem to wear down specially defensive Pokemon like Blissey, Toxapex, and Slowking. Moonblast is a powerful STAB move that easily dispatches Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Latias while also hitting physical walls like defensive Landorus-T quite hard. Mystical Fire is crucial coverage, as it targets Corviknight and Ferrothorn and discourages Mega Scizor from switching in. Instead of Stealth Rock, Earth Power can be used to snipe Heatran and do more damage to Mega Mawile and Excadrill. Encore can also be used in this moveslot to, for example, lock Corviknight into Defog or Tapu Fini into Calm Mind, allowing Mega Diancie to exploit the switch or revenge kill them. Magic Bounce deters status moves and entry hazards, allowing Mega Diancie to take advantage of passive Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Blissey. 132 Special Attack EVs allow it to 2HKO Corviknight with 72 Special Defense EVs after Stealth Rock, with the remaining EVs going into Attack for better damage rolls against Pokemon like Blissey and Heatran. Mega Diancie fits on bulky offense teams that appreciate its monstrous wallbreaking power and Stealth Rock. Magnezone is a phenomenal teammate thanks to its ability to completely remove Steel-types, allowing Mega Diancie to forgo Mystical Fire entirely. Because of Mega Diancie’s frailty, pivots that can bring it in like Blissey, Slowking, and Corviknight make solid partners. Blissey can also paralyze offensive answers to Mega Diancie such as Greninja and Ash-Greninja, Slowking can use Future Sight to make its attacks indirectly stronger, and Corviknight can check defensive Ground-types like Landorus-T and Gliscor that Mega Diancie can’t break through on its own. Wallbreakers and late-game cleaners such as Swords Dance Kartana and Kyurem appreciate Stealth Rock and Mega Diancie’s ability to wear down several defensive Pokemon, such as Blissey, Heatran, and Mega Scizor. Kartana in particular loves Mega Diancie pressuring Zapdos, Mega Latias, and Corviknight, while Kartana uses the defensive Ground-types that Mega Diancie baits in as setup fodder. Mega Diancie can form solid entry hazard stacking cores with Ferrothorn, Greninja, and Ash-Greninja thanks to their collective ability to beat down Defoggers so that entry hazards can stay up. Ferrothorn can also annoy several of Mega Diancie's checks like Heatran and Blissey with Toxic, Leech Seed, and Knock Off, while Ash-Greninja can beat down the checks it shares with Mega Diancie like Ferrothorn and Toxapex.

戰術分析
Diancie leverages its great natural bulk to become effectively sweep with Triage-boosted Draining Kiss, which bypasses its low Speed thanks to Triage. Calm Mind lets Diancie sweep and helps protect against threats like non-Psyshock Azelf and Tapu Lele, which could otherwise force Diancie out. Body Press provides crucial coverage against Chansey and Blissey, two Pokemon that never fear Draining Kiss, and hits Corviknight super effectively after Roost. Diamond Storm provides coverage for Fire-types like Cinderace and Talonflame and often provides Defense boosts for easier setup and higher Body Press damage; Power Gem is an alternative STAB attack that is boosted by Calm Mind, allowing Diancie to remain threatening if Psychic Terrain is up, while also helping out against Zapdos, Talonflame, and Unaware Mandibuzz. Life Orb boosts Diancie's damage output, with the recoil mostly offset by Draining Kiss's recovery. A Quiet nature can be used with Diamond Storm to not weaken it, as Diancie's Speed tier is not valuable thanks to Triage; however, Modest allows Diancie to Speed tie Chansey and is optimal with Power Gem. Diancie best fits on bulkier teams that can consistently wear foes down, as this gives Diancie the best odds at sweeping and helps make up for Draining Kiss's low Base Power. Specially offensive teammates like Zapdos and Tapu Lele greatly appreciate Diancie being a special attacker that pressures Chansey and Blissey, since this gives them more room to deal significant damage, in turn giving Diancie an easier time sweeping. Teammates like Ferrothorn and Landorus-T are excellent to force passive damage onto the opposing team. Psychic Surge from the likes of Azelf and the rare Alakazam blocks Draining Kiss from hitting grounded targets, so reliable switch-ins to these setters like Mandibuzz, Mew, and Fire-immune Steel-types, are recommended. Steel-types like Jirachi and Heatran heavily pressure Diancie, so reliable answers to them like Zarude and Primordial Sea Zapdos, respectively, are recommended. Toxapex also endlessly walls Diancie; a dedicated lure like Galvanize Kommo-o can remove that roadblock. Wish users like Regenerator Vaporeon are also useful in matchups where Diancie's defensive profile is important, as they provide the longevity necessary to use its high bulk.

Regenerator allows Diancie to more actively use its large bulk, switching into threats more freely and making the best use of its utility movepool. Diamond Storm crucially threatens Volcarona and Talonflame, as well as granting Defense boosts to increase Body Press's damage; Body Press in turn nails key threats like defensive Heatran and Corviknight after Roost, and it is quite threatening after a +2 boost. Stealth Rock provides valuable chip damage and frees up moveslots for Diancie's teammates, like Heatran and Landorus-T, allowing them to opt for more offensive sets. Heal Bell makes Diancie a rare cleric, freeing its teammates of debilitating status effects like paralysis and poison. Running 0 Speed EVs and IVs is an option to more reliably punish Corviknight and Skarmory for using Roost. Diancie's best fit is on bulky offense teams that want to compact a cleric, entry hazard setter, and Fire-type check into one teamslot. Faster threats that greatly rely on their Speed, like Barraskewda, Talonflame, and Terrakion, enjoy Diancie's ability to cleanse any paralysis they may encounter; these also enjoy having Stealth Rock forcing chip damage on their checks. Zarude makes a strong partner, as its Grassy Glide forces out many common switch-ins to a boosted Body Press, such as Mew and Tapu Fini. Diancie checking dangerous Fire-type threats like Talonflame, Moltres, and defensive Heatran can also help more offensive teams to avoid needing to sacrifice Pokemon to beat them. Desolate Land teammates like Cinderace and Moltres help Diancie against Primordial Sea threats like Barraskewda, Inteleon, and Weather Ball Zapdos.

Mega Diancie is a phenomenal asset to Fairy teams, with Magic Bounce to deflect entry hazards and status, wide coverage, and good offensive prowess backed by a great natural Speed tier. Moonblast is Mega Diancie's most spammable attack, taking on Pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Latios, and Keldeo. Diamond Storm allows Mega Diancie to hit Pokemon such as Volcarona, Tornadus-T, and Alolan Ninetales for super effective damage and fish for Defense boosts. Mystical Fire targets Steel-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela switching in, and Mega Scizor if it attempts to use Swords Dance on Mega Diancie. Alternatively, Psychic hits Poison-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur. Diamond Storm + Psychic gives Mega Diancie 2HKO all Poison-type Pokemon as well. Hidden Power Ice allows Mega Diancie to take on Gliscor and Landorus. Earth Power, in conjunction with Mystical Fire, can be used instead for Mega Diancie to be very effective against Steel teams: it OHKOes Heatran, Excadrill, and Magnezone, hits Aegislash the hardest, and takes on threats such as weakened Mega Steelix. Diamond Storm + Mystical Fire + Hidden Power Ice allows Mega Diancie to hit all Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage. Maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs, alongside a Naive nature, allow Mega Diancie to be as fast as Latios and hit as hard as possible specially while not decreasing Diamond Storm's damage output. Clear Body allows Diancie to ignore Sticky Web prior to Mega Evolution. All of Mega Diancie's teammates appreciate its offensive prowess and access to Magic Bounce, especially because Fairy teams tend not to carry entry hazard removal. Klefki can set Spikes for Mega Diancie, allowing it to break through Pokemon such as Focus Sash Garchomp, and checks setup sweepers like Mega Scizor thanks to Foul Play. Additionally, screens from Klefki make Mega Diancie harder to revenge kill. On top of that, Klefki can paralyze faster threats such as Mega Aerodactyl for it. Tapu Koko can take on threats to Mega Diancie such as Celesteela while also stallbreaking against Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur with Taunt, allowing Mega Diancie to take it out with Psychic. Tapu Lele can take on Poison-type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Nidoking for Mega Diancie. Additionally, it sets Psychic Terrain, preventing priority moves such as Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch from OHKOing Mega Diancie. Tapu Bulu can take on Electric-, Ground-, and Water-type Pokemon for Mega Diancie such as Tapu Koko, Hippowdon, and Swampert with its Grass-type STAB moves, as well as providing passive recovery due to Grassy Terrain. Azumarill can help Mega Diancie take on Fire teams and handles Ground- and Steel-type Pokemon for it with Aqua Jet, and Brick Break to take out Melmetal, after Belly Drum. Mimikyu can easily take on Psychic teams for Mega Diancie after a Swords Dance, OHKO bulkier Pokemon with boosted Shadow Claw, and OHKO faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Latias with boosted Shadow Sneak. Togekiss can be used to take on Grass-type Pokemon for Mega Diancie, such as Rillaboom, Mega Venusaur, and Ferrothorn, which Fairy teams struggle with. Togekiss can also help break past Steel-type Pokemon such as Melmetal with its coverage in Fire Blast and Aura Sphere. Clefable can provide Stealth Rock support for Mega Diancie to secure crucial damage rolls against the likes of Excadrill and Gliscor.

Moves Mega Diancie's high Speed, solid attacking stats, and Magic Bounce allow it to scare out Pokemon like Zapdos and Mega Latias to set up Stealth Rock. If one of Mega Diancie's teammates runs Stealth Rock, it will allow room to run Protect to safely Mega Evolve and scout potential Z-Moves like Magearna's Twinkle Tackle and Choice-locked Pokemon like Kartana and Landorus-T. Moonblast blows through Dragon-types like Garchomp, Kyurem-B, Kommo-o, and Dragonite and threatens Mega Sableye, which blocks entry hazards via its own Magic Bounce. Diamond Storm smashes Fire- and Flying-types like Volcarona, both Mega Charizard formes, and Tornadus-T and chips the likes of Chansey and Celesteela. Earth Power threatens Heatran, Toxapex, and Magearna. Hidden Power Ice snipes Gliscor and Landorus-T. Finally, Hidden Power Fire punishes Steel-types that attempt to switch in to force Mega Diancie out, such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor. Set Details A Hasty nature is chosen instead of Naive so that Diancie can make use of its special bulk to more easily handle special attacks from Pokemon like Heatran and Volcarona. If Mega Diancie forgoes Diamond Storm, a Timid nature should be used instead. Usage Tips Thanks to Mega Diancie's solid matchup against common Defoggers like Tornadus-T and Zapdos, as well as Gliscor and Landorus-T if it carries Hidden Power Ice, it can set up Stealth Rock and discourage them from attempting to remove Stealth Rock. After Diancie Mega Evolves, it can also discourage Gliscor and Landorus-T from attempting to set up their own Stealth Rock. If Mega Diancie is facing a stall team, it can be used in the lead position to discourage Mega Sableye from attempting to block Stealth Rock with its own Magic Bounce, allowing Mega Diancie a free opportunity to set them up. If Mega Diancie is facing a Pokemon that it easily scares out, it can use the opportunity to set up Stealth Rock or use its coverage options to punish predicted switch-ins, such as Earth Power for Magearna and Hidden Power Fire for Mega Scizor. Due to Mega Diancie's crippling weakness to Steel, Hidden Power Fire must be used as Mega Scizor switches in or on a risky prediction because Mega Scizor can immediately force Mega Diancie out with Bullet Punch. Diancie can also potentially hold off on Mega Evolving, as it can make use of its better bulk in scenarios where its Speed stat after Mega Evolving isn't needed. Most notably, it can use that bulk to trade damage against setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Volcarona and set up Stealth Rock against the likes of Victini and Tornadus-T if you value its HP over Magic Bounce. If Mega Diancie runs Protect, it can use the opportunity to scout for Choice-locked Pokemon such as Kartana, Landorus-T, and Greninja and act accordingly. Mega Diancie can often be used in the lead position and use Protect immediately against Pokemon that attempt to anti-lead against it, such as Ferrothorn and Landorus-T, as this can discourage them from attempting to set up entry hazards freely. After Mega Diancie uses Protect, it can then switch out against a predicted attack. This is in contrast to the Stealth Rock variant, which requires an opportune time to activate Magic Bounce, as Mega Diancie's frailty makes it difficult to freely set up Stealth Rock or attack unless it is facing a Pokemon that doesn't threaten it, such as Tornadus-T. Do not hesitate to make an aggressive switch to deny hazards if you are willing to take the risk, since this can be a deciding factor between a win and a loss. Team Options This Mega Diancie set functions best on offense and bulky offense teams, which value its role compression of a Stealth Rock setter, wallbreaker, and entry hazard blocker. Grass-types like Serperior, Kartana, and Tapu Bulu can threaten bulky Water-types like Gastrodon and Seismitoad. Serperior can provide paralysis support with Glare to cripple faster targets like Mega Alakazam and can lure in and threaten Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Hidden Power Fire should Mega Diancie run a different coverage move, such as Earth Power. Choice Scarf variants of Kartana benefit from Mega Diancie breaking through physical walls like Zapdos and defensive Landorus-T, and they can revenge kill faster targets such as Ash-Greninja and Tapu Koko, while Choice Band and Swords Dance sets heavily pressure shared checks like defensive Magearna. Additionally, Kartana can use Knock Off to remove items such as Leftovers from Celesteela and Ferrothorn, making it easier to overwhelm them with repeated attacks. Serperior and Kartana also appreciate Mega Diancie keeping Stealth Rock up against Defoggers like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Tapu Bulu can extend Mega Diancie's longevity thanks to Grassy Terrain. Pivot support from teammates like Zapdos, Rotom-Wash, Tapu Koko, Landorus-T, and Tornadus-T is also beneficial, as they can grant a free entry with Volt Switch and U-turn. Heatran provides a solid answer to Steel-types like Magearna and Celesteela and can set up Stealth Rock, allowing Mega Diancie more room to run Protect. Magnezone can trap and remove Skarmory, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor, taking some pressure off of Mega Diancie and allowing it to run Earth Power or Hidden Power Ice over Hidden Power Fire more easily. Wallbreakers like Victini, Kyurem-B, and Weavile benefit from Mega Diancie's ability to block hazards, letting them blow through shared checks like Tapu Fini and Celesteela. Volcarona also appreciates Mega Diancie keeping Stealth Rock off the field, allowing it to set up Quiver Dance more freely. Tapu Lele helps soften the opposing team to allow Mega Diancie to clean up later in the game, and it protects it from priority moves such as Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor and Mega Medicham. Tapu Fini protects Mega Diancie's teammates from status attempts thanks to Misty Terrain, provides a solid answer to Ash-Greninja, and utilizes Taunt + Nature's Madness to break past bulkier teams. If Mega Diancie runs Stealth Rock, it can form a powerful hazard-stacking core with Greninja thanks to its Spikes support. Additionally, Greninja has the benefit of luring in and wiping out Tapu Fini with Gunk Shot and Magearna with Tectonic Rage and threatening Gliscor and Landorus-T with Ice Beam, allowing Mega Diancie to more easily run Hidden Power Fire over Earth Power and Hidden Power Ice. Dragonite and Thundurus-T also benefit from Mega Diancie keeping hazards off the field, as this allows them to set up more safely without being bothered by Stealth Rock.

戰術分析
Moves This set is designed to make use of Mega Diancie's status as an offensive Magic Bounce user to create one of the most consistent leads for hyper offense teams. Other leads like Taunt Mew and Imprison Landorus-T need to actively spend a turn to prevent opposing entry hazards, whereas Mega Diancie can focus on setting Stealth Rock thanks to Magic Bounce. The combination of Substitute and Endeavor, coupled with its great Speed, allows Mega Diancie to go above and beyond just hazard control and become a significant threat in its own right. Substitute lets Diancie damage itself at a consistent pace, putting its health as low as possible to maximize the effectiveness of Endeavor. This allows Diancie to threaten even its own checks, like Gastrodon and Ferrothorn, with prompt removal, aiding teammates that may struggle with them. Diamond Storm is a strong STAB option that threatens fast Calm Mind users like Tapu Koko and Mega Alakazam, which would otherwise bulldoze past a lot of hyper offense teams, as well as hitting Rock-weak threats like Volcarona and both Mega Charizard formes super effectively and Fairy-resistant foes like Celesteela and Toxapex neutrally. Moonblast can threaten out Fairy-weak Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Sableye, the latter of which would otherwise prevent Diancie's Stealth Rock via its own Magic Bounce, additionally hitting physically defensive Pokemon like Landorus-T harder and having significantly more PP. Set Details 240 HP EVs maximize Mega Diancie overall bulk while letting it use Substitute four times from full health and end up at 1 HP afterwards to maximize Endeavor damage; this investment also lets Mega Diancie survive three Seismic Tosses from Chansey and for base Diancie to survive an Earthquake from offensive Landorus-T. Maximum Speed investment allows Mega Diancie to outspeed Kartana and Speed tie with Mega Latias and opposing Mega Diancie. The rest of the EVs are put into Defense to give non-Mega Diancie the best chance to survive strong physical attacks like Kartana's Leaf Blade. The nature used depends on Diancie’s choice of coverage; run Jolly for Diamond Storm and Timid for Moonblast. Usage Tips The most important thing to consider when leading off with Diancie is if and when you should Mega Evolve it. The choice between the bulk of non-Mega Diancie and the high Speed of Mega Diancie is yours to make based on the opposing lead, creating an incredibly long list of Pokemon that Diancie can effectively lead off against. The threat of Mega Evolution is usually enough to dissuade opposing leads from attempting to set Stealth Rock, opening up more possibilities for Diancie as a lead. It is often safer to hold off on Mega Evolving when facing Landorus-T, as non-Mega Diancie always survives a Jolly Earthquake from it, and Mega Diancie is outsped and OHKOed by Choice Scarf variants. The same logic applies on a wider scale in terms of taking as little damage as possible by utilizing the better defensive stats of non-Mega Diancie in cases where the superior Speed of Mega Diancie isn't needed; a good example of this is using Substitute against Rotom-Wash or Magearna before Mega Evolving, as Diancie doesn't need to Mega Evolve to outspeed them and can use the extra special bulk to prevent Volt Switch from breaking its Substitute. After Diancie sets Stealth Rock, it can Mega Evolve to become faster than the opposing Pokemon and repeatedly set up Substitute safely or use Endeavor straight away if it has been severely damaged by the likes of Landorus-T. Team Options This set is perfect for hyper offense teams, especially ones that make use of setup sweepers that are crippled by Stealth Rock, such as Volcarona, Mega Charizard X, and Dragonite. Despite how good Mega Diancie is at preventing opposing entry hazards, it still appreciates a backup hazard removal option like Serperior or Choice Scarf Landorus-T in case it gets KOed or Mold Breaker Excadrill bypasses Magic Bounce. As Ash-Greninja can threaten out Diancie in the lead matchup, it's necessary to bring a check to it that fits on the hyper offense playstyle, like Kommo-o, Tapu Fini, or Breloom. Calm Mind Magearna shares checks like Gastrodon and Jirachi with offensive Mega Diancie, so it appreciates how Diancie can lure them in and take them out of commission with Endeavor.

Moves Moonblast is Diancie's main attack and is also important for fishing for Special Attack drops against the likes of Dragalge, Mismagius, and Necrozma. Earth Power offers the coverage to damage Nidoqueen, Metagross, and Houndoom super effectively. Toxic can be essential to crippling walls like Slowbro and Cresselia, but Heal Bell is an alternative if the team could use a cleric. Set Details A Calm nature boosts Diancie's Special Defense without compromising its power. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability but does have some use in preventing random stat drops from Psychic and Bug Buzz. Normalium Z can be used in tandem with Heal Bell to offer Diancie a one-time full recovery, making it more useful in matches against faster teams; however, Leftovers is generally more consistent and does not take up a Z slot. Usage Tips Diancie should set up Stealth Rock as early as possible to deal chip damage and soften up any checks. Diancie should also often be switched in against foes it checks such as Noivern, Goodra, Arcanine, and Houndoom if it's healthy enough in order to stomach their attacks and potentially set up Stealth Rock. Spreading Toxic is not a bad strategy to help wear down defensive switch-ins like Donphan and Slowbro when Stealth Rock is already on the field in order to cripple the opposition and offer its teammates complementary chip damage to soften up the opponent's defenses. Diancie should avoid status if it isn't running Heal Bell, as it greatly hinders its longevity in the match. Diancie will often invite Steel-types, so aggressive doubles to bring in Fire- or Ground-types that prey on these Pokemon or possibly scouting and chipping with Earth Power can work. Team Options Diancie fits best on bulky offense and balance teams that require role compression to round out the rest of the team. Roserade, Virizion, and Shaymin are all offensive Grass-types that greatly appreciate Diancie’s ability to check Fire- and Flying-types. Ground- and Fire-types such as Zygarde-10%, Donphan, Salazzle, Arcanine, and Houndoom can offensively pressure the Steel-types that Diancie struggles with. Slowbro forms a strong defensive core with Diancie due to it checking Zygarde-10% and other Ground-types and its high Defense that complements Diancie's Special Defense. Entry hazards can chip Diancie fairly quickly if they're stacked up, so removal from Mandibuzz, Mega Blastoise, and Tsareena can be essential to keeping Diancie healthy.

Moves Stealth Rock punishes other teams' switches and is vital for any competitive team, and Heal Bell, which is mainly appreciated by bulkier teams, supports Diancie's teammates as well as itself by healing status. Diancie is able to get opportunities to easily make use of both these moves against foes such as Rotom-Heat and Hydreigon. Diamond Storm is a Rock-type STAB attack that hits specially bulky Pokemon like Nihilego and Tentacruel hard and lets Diancie better check threatening Flying- and Fire-types such as Moltres and Rotom-Heat. Also, a +2 Defense boost from Diamond Storm lets Diancie better take hits from Mega Aerodactyl, Terrakion, and even Cobalion and makes it difficult to take down overall. Toxic punishes bulky switch-ins to Diancie such as Hippowdon as well as setup sweepers like Latias that neither Moonblast nor Diamond Storm punish hard enough. Toxic also allows Diancie to pressure Flying-types like Togekiss without having to worry about the PP of Diamond Storm. Set Details Diancie's spread lets it be a good special wall, dealing with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric well while also helping it wall the Pokemon it's supposed to, such as Hydreigon, Rotom-Heat, and Kyurem. A Calm nature enhances its special bulk, while Sassy is used when Diamond Storm is part of the set so it isn't weakened. Meanwhile, Leftovers is used to passively get health back, help Diancie fulfill its goal as a wall, and improve its longevity. Usage Tips Bring Diancie in on resisted or weak hits and on Dragon- or Flying-types that it can beat, such as Hydreigon and Moltres, and use such turns to set Stealth Rock early, fire off attacks, or heal status ailments. Use Toxic when you expect bulky foes such as Hippowdon to switch in. Diancie doesn't have a reliable recovery move, so don't make reckless plays like setting Stealth Rock against foes that threaten Diancie, such as Slowbro and Amoonguss, as you can end up with a weakened and inefficient Diancie. If not running Heal Bell, watch out for status, as that cripples Diancie's longevity. Also, beware of strong wallbreakers that can come in for free on Diancie, such as Nidoqueen. In such scenarios, the best course of action for Diancie is usually double switching out. Don't stay in with Diancie on Pokemon that can set up and aren't really threatened by it, such as Scizor, as Diancie gives free turns away to them. Use Heal Bell to support its partners on optimal turns, such as when faced with a Pokemon that Diancie walls. Be careful to conserve the PP of Heal Bell and Diamond Storm throughout the match. Team Options Diancie fits well on balance and bulky offense builds that value its resistances and role compression. Diancie struggles with Steel-types, as they don't really mind its STAB moves or Toxic and can even keep Stealth Rock off the field in the case of Empoleon. Because of this, Pokemon that deal with them, such as Rotom-Heat and Infernape, are appreciated. Pokemon such as Amoonguss, Scizor, and Cobalion appreciate Diancie's ability to take on Fire- and Flying-types, such as Moltres and Togekiss. Wallbreakers enjoy how Diancie can set Stealth Rock up to help them secure KOs. In particular, Tsareena and Moltres pair well with Diancie, as they can break bulky Ground- and Steel-types, such as Hippowdon and Mega Aggron. Ground-immune Pokemon such as Rotom-Heat, Moltres, and Hydreigon support Diancie, as a myriad of Ground-types can force it out, such as Nidoking and Hippowdon. They also deserve a special note for resisting Grass-type moves, which also threaten Diancie. Pokemon that don't like status appreciate being paired with Diancie. For example, Slowbro has good defensive synergy with Diancie due to its great physical bulk and resistances to Water and Steel, and it appreciates Diancie's resistance to Dark. Partners with Wish, such as Alomomola, can help circumvent Diancie's lack of a reliable recovery move. Allies such as Mantine, Rotom-Heat, and Tentacruel help Diancie exert its role, removing the entry hazards that really hinder its Leftovers recovery.

Moves Moonblast is Mega Diancie's strongest move and hits Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, Dragonite, and Krookodile hard. Rock Tomb gives Mega Diancie a secondary STAB attack to hit Volcarona and Mega Charizard X and Y while providing an important method of speed control that lets it beat Mega Gyarados and non-Choice item Dragonite. Magnet Rise allows Mega Diancie to beat some slow Ground-types like Groundium Z Donphan, Groundium Z Golem, and Mega Camerupt. Diamond Storm allows Mega Diancie to consistently beat some specially bulky Pokemon like Meloetta and Togekiss. Calm Mind can be run over Diamond Storm to beat certain stall Pokemon such as Type: Null and Porygon2. Set Details 224 HP EVs and 52 Defense EVs allow Mega Diancie to tank bulky Mega Gyarados's Waterfall in its Mega forme and maximum Attack Mega Gyarados's Waterfall in its base forme. 28 Speed EVs ensure that Mega Diancie outspeeds maximum Speed Adamant Mega Gyarados as well as base 70 Speed Pokemon after Mega Evolving. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to maximize Mega Diancie's damage output, notably almost guaranteeing the KO on bulky Mega Gyarados when Mega Diancie is played correctly. A Rash nature is used so that the damage output of Rock Tomb is not reduced, as its low Base Power makes this necessary. Magic Bounce after Mega Evolving allows Mega Diancie to beat certain stall Pokemon, such as Jumpluff, Whimsicott, Smeargle, and Vivillon. Usage Tips If you predict that Mega Gyarados is running a bulky spread, then Mega Evolve immediately and use Rock Tomb turn one, as Mega Gyarados will then be unable to OHKO Mega Diancie with Waterfall. After this, simply use Moonblast turn two for the KO. Note that most Mega Gyarados run bulky spreads, so if you are unsure about what the foe's spread is, this is the safest option. However, if you predict that Mega Gyarados is running a more offensive spread, do not Mega Evolve, and use Rock Tomb turn one to get chip damage and to prevent Mega Gyarados from outspeeding you if it uses Dragon Dance; on turn two, Mega Evolve and use Moonblast for the KO. Against Mega Charizard X and Y, use Diamond Storm if you are running it or Rock Tomb and refrain from Mega Evolving turn one to ensure the win, as Mega Evolving will cause Mega Diancie to be outsped and subsequently OHKOed by Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. Landorus-T can potentially use Rock Tomb followed by repeated uses of Substitute to stall out Mega Diancie's Magnet Rise turns before outspeeding and KOing it with its Ground-type moves, so if you suspect this play to come out, it is better to remain non-Mega-Evolved the first turn so as to avoid the Speed drop from Rock Tomb with Clear Body. Against Donphan, use either Rock Tomb or Diamond Storm turn two to avoid losing to Endeavor sets, unless it has already broken its Sturdy with Head Smash. After this, use Moonblast after Mega Evolving repeatedly to ensure the win. Against Meloetta, first use Diamond Storm without Mega Evolving, then Mega Evolve and use Diamond Storm to secure the win. If not running Diamond Storm, refrain from sending Mega Diancie out against Meloetta, as it will have a losing matchup. Team Options Since bulky Mega Diancie has poor matchups against Steel-types like Magearna, Heatran, Genesect, Magnezone, Kartana, and Celesteela, Pokemon that reliably beat these threats, such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Blaziken, Golem, and other Fire-, Fighting-, and Ground-types, make for good partners. In exchange, Mega Diancie can beat Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, and Donphan for these Pokemon. Since bulky Mega Diancie struggles against Water-types such as Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Manaphy, Electric- and Grass-types like Zeraora and Serperior make for good partners. Zeraora also has an excellent matchup against most of the aforementioned Steel-types that threaten Mega Diancie. In exchange, Mega Diancie can beat Flyinium Z Dragonite and Mega Charizard X and Y for Serperior and Donphan and Whimsicott for Zeraora. If not running Calm Mind, Mega Diancie struggles to break through stall Pokemon like stall Deoxys-S and Type: Null. This makes stallbreakers like Incineroar and Kommo-o good partners. In exchange, Mega Diancie can beat Donphan, Golem, and special Dragonite for Incineroar, and non-Choice item Dragonite, Mega Charizard X, and Whimsicott for Kommo-o.

Moves Moonblast is Mega Diancie's main STAB move and hits extremely hard due to Mega Diancie's high Special Attack stat. Diamond Storm is a secondary STAB attack that hits Fire-types like Volcarona and Mega Charizard X and Y while giving Mega Diancie a chance to beat some physical attackers such as Mega Gyarados due to the move's 50% chance to raise Defense by two stages. Magnet Rise is used to beat Ground-types like non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Donphan that Mega Diancie outspeeds. It also allows Mega Diancie to evade Earthquake from physical Dragonium Z variants of Dragonite. Hidden Power Fire hits foes 4x weak to it such as Kartana and non-Choice Scarf Genesect that would otherwise tank any of Mega Diancie's attacks and KO it in return. Rock Tomb allows Mega Diancie to consistently beat Porygon-Z as well as non-Choice item Dragonite. Calm Mind can be used to beat Type: Null, but it is rarely useful outside of this matchup and causes Mega Diancie to lose the important matchup against Kartana. Set Details Maximum Speed investment with a Speed-boosting nature ensures that Mega Diancie is able to outspeed Kartana. Maximum Special Attack investment allows Mega Diancie to hit as hard as possible with Moonblast. 4 Attack EVs grant some extra power on Mega Diancie's Diamond Storm. A Naive nature is used so that Mega Diancie doesn't lose power on Diamond Storm or Rock Tomb and has a better chance to beat Mega Gyarados if it gets Defense boosts from Diamond Storm. Magic Bounce after mega evolution allows Mega Diancie to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff and Whimsicott. If running Rock Tomb, use an alternative EV spread of 68 HP / 208 SpA / 232 Spe with a Naive nature to ensure that Diancie beats maximum Attack Dragonite by tanking Earthquake in its base forme in addition to Extreme Speed after Mega Evolving. Usage Tips Against Donphan, after using Magnet Rise, use Diamond Storm first to avoid losing to Endeavor sets. This will be unnecessary if they use Head Smash, however, as this will break Sturdy and allow Moonblast to be used immediately for the KO. Against Zygarde, if predicting Tectonic Rage to be used, Mega Diancie should use Magnet Rise to avoid being OHKOed, but if predicting Thousand Arrows, Mega Diancie should use Moonblast to 2HKO Zygarde; note that Moonblast sometimes OHKOes it as well, easing the pressure of the mind game. Against Porygon-Z, bulky Mega Gyarados, and non-Choice item Dragonite, Mega Diancie can win if running Rock Tomb. After using Rock Tomb turn one without Mega Evolving against Porygon-Z, either Mega Evolve and use Moonblast if Porygon-Z has used Breakneck Blitz, or use Moonblast without Mega Evolving turn two, and then use Moonblast again while Mega Evolving turn three if Porygon-Z has used Z-Conversion. Against non-Choice Band Dragonite, just use Rock Tomb, and Mega Evolve and use Moonblast to secure the KO, assuming you're running the alternative EV spread to ensure that Diancie can tank Dragonite's attacks. If you encounter Mega Gyarados, Diancie should immediately Mega Evolve and use Diamond Storm, as if the chance for a Defense boost activates, it will win with Moonblast. However, this coinflip situation makes the matchup extremely unreliable, unlike with bulky Mega Gyarados. Team Options Since fast Mega Diancie loses to many Water- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu Fini, Primarina, and Tapu Bulu and has an inconsistent matchup against Mega Gyarados and Zygarde, Pokemon that can consistently beat these threats like Mega Venusaur work well with it. In exchange, Mega Diancie can beat non-Choice item Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, Garchomp, and Meloetta for Mega Venusaur. Steel-types with good matchups against Water-types like Kartana and specially defensive tanks like Meloetta synergize well with Mega Diancie, as they can beat Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Primarina, all of which Mega Diancie struggles with. Mega Diancie can, in return, beat Fire-types like both formes of Mega Charizard, Victini, and Mega Blaziken for Kartana and Dark-types like Scrafty, Incineroar, and Mega Sableye for Meloetta. Fast Mega Diancie's general weakness to speedier offensive Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Choice Specs Deoxys-S, and Zeraora means that stall Pokemon capable of taking hits from them, such as Type: Null make for good partners. In exchange, Mega Diancie can beat fast sleep users like Jumpluff and Vivillon and certain stallbreakers like Incineroar and Kommo-o that these Pokemon struggle with.

Moves Moonblast is a Fairy-type STAB attack that allows Mega Diancie to hit a significant amount of the tier for neutral damage. It's also useful for hitting Marshadow, Mega Salamence, Zygarde-C, Rayquaza, Mega Sableye, and Tyranitar. Diamond Storm is a useful 100-Base Power STAB move that hits Flying-type Pokemon such as Ho-Oh for super effective damage. It also takes advantage of Mega Diancie's high Attack stat and allows it to easily take care of Pokemon with high Special Defense such as Blissey, Primal Kyogre, and Gothitelle. Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's Defense by two stages, allowing it to survive crucial attacks such as a Precipice Blades from an uninvested Primal Groudon. Earth Power is useful for dealing with common Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, Magearna, and Toxapex. It should be noted, though, that there are a large number of Steel-type Pokemon that are unfazed by Earth Power, either due to a secondary typing that lets them take neutral damage from Earth Power or an ability combined with a lot of natural bulk that allows them to take minimal damage from Earth Power. Toxic punishes just about every non-Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon that switches in, wearing them down and making them easier for Diancie and other teammates to KO. Running Stealth Rock on Mega Diancie means that teammates such as Necrozma-DM and Primal Groudon don't have to run it and are then capable of running more offensive sets. Heal Bell allows Mega Diancie to act as an offensive cleric and can be very useful against offensive teams, where Mega Diancie can struggle to put in work and therefore help its teammates by curing them of status and slightly wearing down foes. Endeavor allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its low HP stat and make offensive threats easier to wear down. Set Details Maximum EVs in Speed let Mega Diancie take advantage of its base 110 Speed tier. 24 EVs in Attack guarantee a 2HKO on Blissey, meaning that it's unable to PP stall Mega Diancie with Soft-Boiled. The remainder of the EVs are placed in Special Attack for maximum damage output. A Naive nature is chosen so Mega Diancie is able to take advantage of its Speed stat and potential Defense boosts from Diamond Storm as well as effectively act as a mixed attacker. Diancite is required for Diancie to become Mega Diancie. Usage Tips Try to Mega Evolve Diancie as soon as possible, as that way you're able to utilize its ability more effectively. Note that Clear Body can occasionally be useful when Sticky Web is on the field or to prevent Intimidate Attack drops from Salamence before it Mega Evolves, but in reality, this is still hard to justify not Mega Evolving, since Mega Diancie has a solid matchup against Sticky Web setters and is able to KO Mega Salamence with Moonblast anyway. While you should avoid letting Mega Diancie take any damage at all, it is best to bring Mega Diancie in against status or utility moves or against attacks that it resists such as Dark- and Flying-type moves. Although Diancie can quite easily gain a +2 Defense boost with Diamond Storm, it is still better to avoid letting it take supereffective physical attacks, as it is rarely able to survive these, even at +2. Mega Diancie is a very matchup-dependent Pokemon, as it can be a potential wincon against stall teams after defensive threats such as support Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Water have been removed from the field; against offensive teams, however, just use Mega Diancie to try to reflect entry hazards and other status moves, wear down foes with attacks, and potentially heal the status conditions of teammates with Heal Bell. Although Diamond Storm provides great benefits, be wary that it only has 8 PP, so avoid using it too liberally. It is especially important to conserve the PP of Diamond Storm when facing stall teams, as Mega Diancie needs Diamond Storm to KO threats such as Blissey and Ho-Oh. Team Options Gothitelle makes a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it can trap the support Arceus formes that threaten Mega Diancie as well as other defensive Pokemon that pose a great threat to Mega Diancie such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It is also worth noting that the core of Gothitelle + Mega Diancie beats every relevant Defogger in the tier one-on-one, which makes it easier for Mega Diancie to set up Stealth Rock and keep it on the field for the majority of the game. Necrozma-DM is a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to deal with Xerneas, Arceus-Water, and Arceus-Fairy lacking Will-O-Wisp. In return, Necrozma-DM appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to deal with Ho-Oh and Yveltal, and Mega Diancie's Stealth Rock support lets Necrozma-DM run more offensive sets like Double Dance. Support Necrozma-DM also makes a useful partner for Mega Diancie, as it is a strong Steel-type that shuts down some support Arceus formes such as Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy. Ho-Oh makes a nice partner, as it can threaten the Steel-types that threaten Mega Diancie, and it also appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to prevent entry hazards from being set. Arceus-Ground is a useful partner, as it provides the team with a secondary means of keeping hazards off the field with Defog, as well as threatening many of the Ground- and Steel-type Pokemon that beat Diancie, such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Mega Lucario, and Zygarde-C. Giratina-O can take advantage of the status that Mega Diancie can potentially reflect with Magic Bounce and appreciates Diancie's resistance to Dark-type attacks. Furthermore, it can help support Mega Diancie by Defogging away hazards. Primal Groudon is also a nice partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to check Necrozma-DM more effectively than Arceus-Ground and is also an effective check to Xerneas. Both offensive and defensive variants of Zygarde-C make good partners for Mega Diancie, as they provide the team with a check to Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, Earthquake Mega Salamence, offensive Arceus-Ground sets, Mega Lucario, and Ho-Oh. Offensive variants of Zygarde-C particularly appreciate Diancie's ability to deal with Yveltal. Marshadow makes a nice offensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it provides teams with a means of threatening Necrozma-DM, Ultra Necrozma, and common Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar, as well as providing teams with priority, making it easier to clean off weakened foes thanks to Shadow Sneak. Marshadow also appreciates Mega Diancie dealing with common threats to it such as Yveltal and checking Mega Salamence and Ho-Oh, which are two Pokemon that Marshadow can struggle with depending on whether it runs Hidden Power Ice or Rock Tomb. Arceus-Water makes a good defensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to check a number of Pokemon that Mega Diancie struggles to deal with, such as Arceus-Ground, Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, Mega Salamence, and Primal Kyogre sets lacking Thunder. Arceus-Water sets running Will-O-Wisp also have a decent matchup against Necrozma-DM and Mega Lucario, as it resists their Steel-type attacks and can burn them. Yveltal is a good offensive partner for Mega Diancie, since it threatens Necrozma-DM, Marshadow, and Mega Gengar. It also provides the team with a Ground immunity, which is crucial to have in a metagame dominated by Primal Groudon.

Moves Moonblast is a powerful STAB attack that 2HKOes most offensive Pokemon that don't resist it. Diamond Storm has great coverage with Moonblast and breaks most special walls like Alolan Muk and Zapdos, allowing Mega Diancie to be a powerful mixed wallbreaker. Psychic makes Mega Diancie one of the best checks to Poison teams, as it 2HKOes everything except for Alolan Muk. Earth Power can be used over Psychic, as it allows Mega Diancie to still hit many Poison-type Pokemon such as Toxapex but also targets Pokemon such as Mega Steelix that otherwise blow past Fairy teams. Mega Diancie's ability to easily force switches makes it a good user of Stealth Rock if nothing else on the team can bring it. Alternatively, Hidden Power Fire instead of Stealth Rock rounds off Mega Diancie's coverage by allowing it to hit Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor on the switch. Set Details 252 Speed EVs and a Naive nature are used to make Mega Diancie as fast as possible, outspeeding Alolan Ninetales and Keldeo and at least Speed tying with Latios and opposing Mega Diancie. All remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to maximize Mega Diancie's damage output. Clear Body prevents Intimidate and Sticky Web from reducing Diancie's stats before it Mega Evolves. Usage Tips In most matchups, Diancie should Mega Evolve as early in the game as possible in order to gain Magic Bounce, allowing it to switch into many walls to reflect their utility moves. Against teams with Sticky Web or Toxic Spikes, this is especially important to protect the team. Do be aware that Diancie's defenses are much better before it Mega Evolves, so keep that option in mind to defeat Iron Head Skarmory and even take a hit from Mega Scizor if Reflect is up. Mega Diancie's bulk is not great, so avoid switching into attacks, as even when resisted, moves such as Victini's V-create deal serious damage to it. Instead, use double switches and Magic Bounce to bring it in safely. Use Mega Diancie to wallbreak early-game for its teammates. Weakening checks early on can also give Mega Diancie more room to play with later on, and this is especially important for sets with Rock Polish. Against Poison teams, try to keep Mega Diancie at full HP for as long as possible, as Mega Venusaur's Giga Drain cannot OHKO it and the healing doesn't prevent Mega Diancie's Psychic from 2HKOing it with Stealth Rock support. However, Diamond Storm 2HKOes Alolan Muk, and it may be worth taking a hit in order to take out Alolan Muk to sweep with Psychic. If Mega Diancie is using Stealth Rock, it can take advantage of its huge movepool as a lead in order to set the entry hazard immediately while the opponent scouts for coverage moves. Both Stealth Rock and Rock Polish are easily used whenever Mega Diancie comes in threatening to revenge kill a target; if hidden well until this point, their use can easily surprise your opponent and give you a huge advantage. Team Options Klefki is an amazing teammate, as it provides Spikes support, allowing Mega Diancie to KO Mega Venusaur with Psychic even if it switches into Diamond Storm. Klefki's dual screen support is also incredibly useful, as it allows Mega Diancie to survive hits it wouldn't otherwise be able to in order to 2HKO most of the metagame. Tapu Bulu is another teammate that brings defensive support to Mega Diancie. With Grassy Terrain, Mega Diancie is actually capable of surviving even STAB Earthquake, and the healing is much appreciated. Tapu Bulu also takes on Ground and Water teams almost singlehandedly, making it almost an essential partner. Tapu Koko forms a powerful wallbreaking core with Mega Diancie, as Tapu Koko can break most Water-types and can handle most Steel-types as well if Mega Diancie lacks Hidden Power Fire. Azumarill tends to have trouble with Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Skarmory that Mega Diancie is very capable of luring in and removing. Clefable can carry Stealth Rock, enabling Mega Diancie to use a different move. Alternatively, if Mega Diancie still wants to use Stealth Rock, Clefable can use a Calm Mind set or even a utility move such as Knock Off. Clefable also often uses Babiri Berry + Fire Blast, which allows it to take out Mega Scizor for Mega Diancie. Togekiss can be another good anti-Steel option that can also use Defog to remove entry hazards that get past Mega Diancie's Magic Bounce.

Moves Diamond Storm is Mega Diancie's best Rock-type STAB move, being able to increase its Defense by 2 while also allowing it to beat specially defensive Pokemon like Zapdos and Mantine. This allows Mega Diancie to function as a mixed wallbreaker rather than a primarily special one. Moonblast is used to hit Fighting-, Dragon-, and Dark-types like Keldeo, Garchomp, and Mega Sableye. Psychic is a solid option alongside Diamond Storm, allowing Mega Diancie to effectively dismantle Poison's defensive core of Mega Venusaur, Toxapex, and Alolan Muk, specifically being able to 2HKO Mega Venusaur, which typically poses a threat to Rock teams. Hidden Power Fire allows Mega Diancie to hit Steel-types such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn, as well as hitting Mega Scizor on the switch. Earth Power is a good alternative, allowing Mega Diancie to KO Steel-types that aren't beaten by Hidden Power Fire, such as Heatran and Magnezone. Set Details Maximum investment in Speed with a Naive nature allows Mega Diancie to outspeed Pokemon such as Landorus and Infernape. A Naive nature is chosen over Hasty because the former will allow Mega Diancie to always survive Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick from full health. 16 EVs in HP are used to always survive Skarmory's Iron Head before Mega Evolving while 2HKOing it with Hidden Power Fire. However, if Earth Power is opted for, these EVs are unneeded. Before Mega Evolving, Mega Diancie will have the ability Clear Body, which makes it immune to stat decreases, which is especially helpful when coming in on Sticky Web. Upon Mega Evolving, it gains Magic Bounce, which allows it to bounce back status moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave and entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Sticky Web. Usage Tips In most situations it's a good idea to lead with Diancie and Mega Evolve against entry hazard setters in order to bounce the hazards back, which is especially helpful against Galvantula's Sticky Web, since Rock teams don't use any hazard removers. If possible, always take the opportunity to revenge kill something with Diamond Storm, since Mega Diancie largely benefits from the +2 Defense increase. Since Mega Diancie's bulk isn't very good, try bringing it in after another Pokemon on your team has fainted. In matchups like Dark and Dragon, try to make smart doubles into Mega Diancie in order to shift more momentum on your side. In matchups like Fighting, Grass, and Poison where you need Mega Diancie to be as healthy as possible, don't let it take unnecessary damage before it encounters an important threat like Breloom or Mega Venusaur. Sometimes it's better to hold off on Mega Evolving to take advantage of regular Diancie's superior bulk to allow it to survive a Hidden Power Steel from Latios, as well as being unaffected by Sticky Web and Intimidate thanks to Clear Body. Avoid switching into powerful neutral or resisted attacks, especially after Mega Evolving. Try switching into passive Pokemon such as Klefki in order to bounce back status conditions and hazards. Team Options Shuckle can set up Sticky Web for Mega Diancie to allow it to outspeed Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion and Heracross while also being able to halt setup sweepers like Mega Scizor and Azumarill with Encore. This frees a moveslot for Mega Diancie, since it won't have to rely on Rock Polish to outspeed most threats. In return, Mega Diancie can bounce back Stealth Rock to make sure Shuckle doesn't lose a quarter of its health upon switching in. Terrakion can break past defensive checks like Chansey and Porygon2 that would beat Mega Diancie otherwise while also being a solid revenge killer with a Choice Scarf, revenge killing threats like Hydreigon and +1 Mega Sharpedo. Tyranitar is a powerful physical wallbreaker that can set up sand for Mega Diancie, which boosts its Special Defense. It's also capable of trapping Latios and Gengar with Pursuit. Rhyperior and Alolan Golem are both capable of checking Mega Scizor for Mega Diancie. Rhyperior can serve as an effective physical blanket check against threats like Excadrill and Landorus-T, while Alolan Golem can trap and remove problematic Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn. Cradily can come in on Water-type attacks for Mega Diancie while also being able to beat Ground-types like Hippowdon, Seismitoad, and Choice Scarf Landorus-T. In return, Mega Diancie can check Fighting-types like Terrakion and Heracross while also bouncing back threatening status moves like Toxic. Omastar appreciates Mega Diancie keeping entry hazards away in order to be as healthy as possible while setting up with Shell Smash. It can also beat Ground-types like Hippowdon and Mamoswine with its Water-type STAB moves. Nihilego is a good secondary special wallbreaker that can beat Fairy- and Grass-types like Clefable, Tapu Bulu, and Celebi with its Poison-type STAB move. It can also use its helpful coverage to remove Water-types like Swampert and Mega Slowbro with Grass Knot and Thunderbolt respectively, as well as Ground-types like Landorus and Gliscor with Hidden Power Ice.

Moves Diamond Storm is the premier attack for Mega Diancie, boasting high power for a spread move and a high chance of a Defense boost to patch Mega Diancie's poor bulk. Moonblast's damage output is surprisingly high, and it can be used in situations where a particular foe would be hit significantly harder by a Fairy-type attack. Given Mega Diancie's propensity for forcing switches and other defensive plays, Substitute can be used to buy Mega Diancie free turns in such instances. Hidden Power Fire is a viable option on Mega Diancie, as many teams rely on Kartana as their only Diancie check; sniping a Kartana with Hidden Power Fire can pave the way for Mega Diancie to make an even greater impact. Protect is especially important on a Pokemon as frail as Mega Diancie, giving it temporary safety while its partner can improve its position. Set Details Mega Diancie's Speed tier necessitates maximum investment given the other Pokemon in the tier that lie next to and just below it, so 252 EVs and a boosting nature are employed. Hasty is chosen over Naive because Diamond Storm will likely be boosting Mega Diancie's Defense, making up for the slight initial Defense drop. The given Special Attack investment means that Mega Diancie will 2HKO standard bulky pivot Landorus-T with Moonblast. If Mega Diancie manages to set up Substitute on a turn when Landorus-T pivots onto the field, Mega Diancie can KO it before Landorus-T can damage Mega Diancie at all. The remaining EVs are placed in Attack to power up Diamond Storm and give Mega Diancie a 94% chance to 2HKO standard Incineroar with Diamond Storm at -1 Attack. Usage Tips Since Diancie's base forme has such a fantastic ability in Clear Body, you should be deliberate about when you choose to Mega Evolve Diancie. If your opponent has Pokemon that employ Intimidate or stat-dropping moves like Icy Wind, it can be advantageous to keep Diancie in its base forme until those Pokemon are out of the way. Similarly, if facing a Pokemon faster than Mega Diancie that threatens to deal a lot of damage, consider keeping it in its base forme to take the hit if increased damage isn't necessary. Once Diancie has Mega Evolved, Diamond Storm should be the move of choice in most cases. Moonblast hits pretty hard neutrally and will do more damage to one target than a spread Diamond Storm, so this move is the better choice if you need more damage against one specific opposing Pokemon. Try to always be attacking first with Mega Diancie; relying on taking a hit and firing back can be very risky because of Mega Diancie's frailty. Team Options Speed control is very important with Mega Diancie. Tailwind Kartana is a good partner thanks to its ability to threaten opposing Water- and Ground-types, and Tailwind Zapdos, Tailwind Suicune, and Icy Wind Kyurem-B also combine speed control and offensive synergy. Mega Diancie also appreciates Pokemon that can eliminate Steel-types. Fire-types like Incineroar and Volcanion fit this role, and Volcanion in particular also appreciates the speed control that often accompanies Mega Diancie. Mega Diancie also needs a partner to cover Ground-types, but answers to Landorus-T are more important than answers to Zygarde, since Mega Diancie can smack Zygarde with Moonblast. Kyurem-B, Tapu Fini, and your own Landorus-T are all solid choices to improve the opposing Landorus-T matchup. Grass-type Pokemon make for good partners given Mega Diancie's ability to beat most relevant Flying- and Fire-types handily. Tapu Bulu gives Mega Diancie passive recovery and can eliminate Water-types, while Amoonguss can give Mega Diancie some breathing room with Rage Powder and Spore.

戰術分析
Moves Diancie is one of the best Trick Room setters in the tier thanks to the many tools it has under its belt, so it will naturally carry Trick Room due to its bulk being artificially magnified when attacking first. Diamond Storm is its primary attack, as it provides Diancie with a means of significantly damaging both foes and raising its Defense, thereby bolstering its already above-average bulk. Moonblast is Diancie's secondary STAB attack, granting it both a move that cannot miss when a 5% risk cannot be taken and a way to smack some Pokemon that resist Rock-type attacks, like Zygarde and Kommo-o. Protect rounds out Diancie's set as a staple in DOU, allowing Diancie a turn of safety. Set Details The Special Attack investment on this set ensures that Diancie will always OHKO Kommo-o with Moonblast, even after the Special Defense boost from Clangorous Soulblaze. When combined with maximum HP investment, 52 EVs in Defense allows Diancie to always survive a Leaf Blade from Jolly Kartana and activate its Weakness Policy. Diancie is one of few Pokemon that can make good use of Weakness Policy because its unique typing means that the best ways to damage it are through super effective moves. There are few neutral attacks in the tier that can dent Diancie, and its massive bulk means that it can usually afford to take one super effective attack without much trouble, especially considering that some super effective attacks in the tier, such as Tapu Fini's Muddy Water, are pretty weak. The remaining EVs are placed in Attack, which, in conjunction with an Attack-boosting nature, allows Diancie to reliably 2HKO Incineroar without risk of activating its pinch Berry as long as there is no interference from Stealth Rock. Clear Body's biggest application is preventing Attack drops from Intimidate, making Diancie one of the best Incineroar checks in the tier, but it also prevents other annoying stat drops from attacks like the aforementioned Tapu Fini's Muddy Water. To make best use of Trick Room, Diancie uses 0 Speed IVs and a Brave nature. If using a slow Pokemon that carries Knock Off like Scrafty or Incineroar alongside Diancie, it can be valuable to make Diancie one point faster than its partner so that the partner can remove a potential pinch Berry before Diancie activates it in Trick Room; this can be done by setting Diancie's Speed IV to an appropriate value. Rockium Z is a viable option over Weakness Policy for increased damage output that does not rely on being hit first, but Diancie's partners usually make better use of Z-Moves and Weakness Policy makes Diancie an offensive threat for more than one turn. Usage Tips Diancie's Weakness Policy can be thought of as insurance, since it essentially prevents the foe from hitting Diancie with a weaker super effective attack as it sets up Trick Room. If possible, try to avoid letting Weakness Policy activate until Diancie is in a position to start sweeping. The optimal situation would be to activate it on the same turn that Trick Room is set up, but if Diancie can manage at least a couple turns of boosted attacks under Trick Room, you will likely be in a good position. Be wary of foes chipping Diancie into KO range with weaker neutral attacks—this is generally the best way to handle Diancie. In most scenarios when Diancie is attacking, Diamond Storm should be the attack of choice. Defense boosts and spread damage are Diancie's bread and butter, so Moonblast should only be used when you need to hit a specific target that resists Diamond Storm or be absolutely sure Diancie does not miss. Diancie's low Speed allows it to take advantage of its own Trick Room, but you must be wary of Pokemon that can underspeed and threaten Diancie with huge damage. Mega Camerupt, Gastrodon, Araquanid, and Lurantis all fit this description, so play conservatively with your Diancie until these Pokemon are neutralized. Team Options Given Diancie's penchant for both setting up and taking advantage of Trick Room, any Pokemon than can facilitate Trick Room setup makes for a good Diancie partner. Given that Fake Out and Intimidate are both excellent means to a Trick Room end, Incineroar and Scrafty find themselves next to Diancie on a number of teams. Incineroar specifically can weaken the foe with Intimidate and then pivot into a partner that will also take advantage of Trick Room or threaten problematic Steel-types with a powerful Flare Blitz. Multiple checks to Steel-types are mandatory with Diancie, as its coverage and typing leave it quite vulnerable to Steel-types both offensively and defensively. Such checks can range from Fire-types, like Mega Charizard Y and the aforementioned Incineroar, to Ground-types, like Landorus-T and Zygarde. Mega Camerupt combines both of these types and its incredibly low Speed to make for a fantastic Diancie partner, capable of dealing huge damage to the Steel- and Grass-types that threaten Diancie while being possibly the best Trick Room sweeper in the tier. Teams that carry both Diancie and Mega Camerupt tend to be full Trick Room teams. Bulky Water-types are a nuisance for Diancie, as they are capable of sponging any of Diancie's attacks while Trick Room is up and weakening Diancie to the point of preventing a second use of Trick Room. Tapu Bulu is often the Island Guardian of choice on these teams given its relatively low Speed and ability to smack said problematic bulky Water-types, as well as Ground-types, that threaten Diancie while providing Diancie with passive recovery. Nature Power Mega Camerupt also often finds itself on teams that carry Diancie and Tapu Bulu as a means of eliminating unsuspecting Water-types. Additional Trick Room setters that can be used to support Diancie include Porygon2 and Bronzong, both of which can reliably set Trick Room in the face of most of the metagame. However, using Diancie on a team does not necessitate a hard emphasis on Trick Room. Diancie is arguably the best Trick Room setter on "semiroom" teams, which usually have an additional means of speed control like Tailwind to ensure an advantage in any scenario. Mega Charizard Y, Kartana, and Zapdos can all effectively fill this role and have symbiotic relationships with Diancie thanks to there being very few overlapping checks between any of these Pokemon and Diancie itself.

Moves Protect lets Diancie Mega Evolve safely and circumvent its low Speed before Mega Evolution. Protect also serves a number of other purposes, helping Diancie effectively scout Choice item users such as Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Weavile, discerning whether Mega Medicham carries Bullet Punch, and forcing mind games with Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick. Moonblast is Mega Diancie's strongest and most reliable STAB move, hitting most neutral targets very hard. Diamond Storm helps Mega Diancie act as a mixed attacker, dishing out respectable damage to specially bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Slowking while destroying key Fire- and Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, Volcarona, and Charizard. The Defense boost it often provides is also notable, potentially coming into play against revenge killers such as Crawdaunt and Weavile. Earth Power is Mega Diancie's best coverage option to threaten important Steel-types, most importantly securing the 2HKO on any variant of Excadrill and Mega Metagross while obliterating Heatran, Magnezone, and Bisharp. Alternatively, Hidden Power Fire can 2HKO Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor. However, using the latter lowers Mega Diancie's Speed IV, forfeiting the Speed tie against threats such as Latios, Mega Metagross, and the odd Gengar. Stealth Rock can be used in place of Diamond Storm or a coverage option if the team lacks another setter, as Mega Diancie is an effective user of the move due to the number of switches it forces. It is especially noteworthy for being able to keep Stealth Rock up versus stall thanks to its strong matchup against Zapdos, the most common form of entry hazard control on the archetype. Set Details A Timid nature is strongly preferred, as it maintains Mega Diancie's sturdiness and ability to trade on the field. Alternatively, A Naive nature lets Mega Diancie hit Amoonguss, Mega Venusaur, Mega Scizor, and Chansey harder while maintaining its physical bulk for Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, and Bisharp. Finally, a Hasty nature can be used for the aforementioned power while maintaining Mega Diancie's Special Defense, allowing it to more easily absorb hits from foes like Cofagrigus, Clefable, and Thundurus. Usage Tips In many matchups, players should lead off with Diancie and Mega Evolve safely with Protect to reap the benefits of Mega Diancie's Speed and Magic Bounce. However, choosing to abstain from leading with and immediately Mega Evolving Diancie can be beneficial depending on the circumstance. For example, it may be wise not to lead with Diancie if your team dislikes switching into Scald and the opponent can anti-lead it with a bulky Water-type or if the opponent has a Mold Breaker Excadrill, which can set Stealth Rock freely on Mega Diancie in spite of Magic Bounce. Also, if Diancie is not immediately Mega Evolved, it can act as a better initial pivot into certain Pokemon such as Tornadus-T and Hydreigon due to its regular forme's higher bulk. At later stages in the game, Mega Diancie should be used to soften up defensive cores by firing off powerful attacks. Diancie is best brought in with partners that can pivot into it with U-turn or Volt Switch due to its mediocre bulk, and its health should be preserved if it is needed as a revenge killer or emergency check to a threat such as Bisharp or Dragonite. If this is not the case, Mega Diancie can find additional wallbreaking opportunities by switching directly into Pokemon such as Tornadus-T and Talonflame that can do little to threaten it. Do not shy away from utilizing Protect often; aside from scouting the moves of Choice item users, it can be used to learn valuable information about the opponent's moveset. For example, Mega Diancie should use Protect against Mega Medicham to see if it carries Bullet Punch and against Latios to check for Surf. Team Options Mega Diancie finds itself at home on bulky offensive builds that can effectively make use of its Speed, defensive utility, Magic Bounce, and most importantly, its incredible firepower. Fire-types such as Volcarona, Talonflame, and Volcanion can deal with its Steel-type checks and enjoy Mega Diancie warding off Stealth Rock with Magic Bounce. The former two especially appreciate its ability to keep Tyranitar at bay, weaken bulky Water-types, and threaten Heatran with Earth Power. Other Pokemon that are hindered by Stealth Rock and can clean up after Mega Diancie softens up teams, such as Dragonite and Weavile, also appreciate said traits. Magnezone is an excellent teammate if Diancie opts not to use Hidden Power Fire, as it frees up Mega Diancie offensively by trapping and eliminating Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Mega Scizor for it and pivots it in with Volt Switch. It should be noted that Mega Diancie loses to common Stealth Rock setters such as Excadrill, Chansey, and Ferrothorn, making it an unreliable means of entry hazard control. As such, bulky Excadrill is one of Mega Diancie's most common and effective partners, providing vital Rapid Spin support to take the pressure off of Mega Diancie to keep hazards away while preserving the hazards the latter sends back with Magic Bounce. Excadrill also takes care of Magnezone, Clefable, and Jirachi and can cripple bulky Water-types with Toxic while appreciating Mega Diancie's ability to pressure Skarmory and Tornadus-T. Starmie is another good spinner to pair with Diancie, as it can pivot into Scald from bulky Water-types, provide Thunder Wave support, and check Steel- and Ground-types such as Mega Metagross and bulky Excadrill for it. In return, Mega Diancie offensively checks Dark-types such as Bisharp and Tyranitar that give Starmie grief. Both of these spinners are highly fond of Mega Diancie's unparalleled ability to force opponents to switch and pivot around it, giving them more opportunities to come in safely and click Rapid Spin. If Mega Diancie forgoes Stealth Rock, entry hazard setters are important teammates for it to help chip Mega Diancie's answers into range of its powerful attacks and make it near impossible to pivot around. Clefable can use Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave to support Mega Diancie or carry Ice Beam or Flamethrower to deal with Gliscor and Ferrothorn for it. Ferrothorn checks Chansey and bulky Water-types and can set up Spikes as well as Stealth Rock. Lastly, pivots that bring Mega Diancie in and soak up the hits aimed at it are great partners. Tangrowth and Alomomola handle threats such as Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny for Mega Diancie and give it opportunities to come in safely with Sleep Powder and Wish, respectively. Rotom-W and Tornadus-T can directly pivot Mega Diancie in with Volt Switch and U-turn; the former takes on Mega Scizor and Mega Metagross for Mega Diancie, while the latter checks Serperior and other Grass-types for it.

Moves Diancie's typing and stats are put to good use with this set. Stealth Rock lets Diancie provide a team with entry hazards support. Moonblast is Diancie's main STAB option, allowing it to challenge and beat the likes of Flygon and Gurdurr. Diamond Storm is a good secondary STAB move that allows Diancie to pressure Delphox, Sigilyph, and Fletchinder. If Diancie has a teammate that can cover Stealth Rock, there are a few other options to consider. Heal Bell is useful as Diancie makes a decent cleric due to its ability to find free turns with its bulk; on the other hand, Toxic may be used so that Diancie can beat Substitute + Bulk Up Braviary and cripple Bulky Water-types that may switch in on it. Finally, Protect can be used to stall for Leftovers recovery and to scout for dangerous coverage moves the opponent might be trying to use after lulling Diancie into a false sense of security. Set Details Diancie's EV spread focuses on its special bulk, as its typing is more conducive to walling special attackers. 36 Special Attack EVs allows it to break Bulk Up Braviary's Substitute with Moonblast, which it can then hit it with Toxic to defeat it. Leftovers is mandatory on this set, as Diancie lacks recovery of any other kind. A more physically defensive spread of 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 SpD with a Sassy nature can be used for more reliability against Absol, Gurdurr, and Choice Band Flygon, but keep in mind that Absol commonly carries Iron Tail and Gurdurr has Fighting-type STAB moves to still wear down Diancie quicker than it would like. A Sassy nature is used because Diancie uses both of its attacking stats and doesn't really miss out on much from reducing its Speed a little. If your team needs something to outspeed Druddigon, Calm can be used, but stick to Sassy otherwise. Usage Tips Diancie is a strong defensive Pokemon, but one must be careful to not put too much pressure on it, as it lacks a reliable recovery move. Diancie should aim to set up Stealth Rock or provide Heal Bell support whenever it switches into the likes of Houndoom, Fletchinder, and Exploud. If Stealth Rock is already up and Heal Bell isn't needed, Diancie should just use the appropriate STAB move. Diancie's options over Stealth Rock should be used in specific situations, such as catching Alomomola and Slowking with Toxic or using Protect against Absol to see if it's carrying Iron Tail. As Diancie's only recovery is through Leftovers, it should not be exposed to Knock Off or super effective coverage moves early-game if it can be helped. Lastly, Diancie's STAB moves have notable secondary effects, especially Diamond Storm with its 50% chance to boost Diancie's Defense. While these shouldn't be relied upon, they can bail out Diancie in tight situations at times. Team Options Diancie has a very difficult time fending off Steel-, Water-, and Grass-type Pokemon, so its teammates should ideally be able to handle most of these. Alomomola is an ideal partner, as it not only provides Wish support for Diancie but also can check most Steel-types and hit most opposing Water-types with Toxic without fear thanks to Diancie's Heal Bell support. Venusaur and Virizion can handle most Water-types and can threaten most Steel-types either with a coverage move or with a secondary STAB option. Venusaur is most notable, as it has STAB Sludge Bomb for opposing Grass-types. Diancie's Heal Bell also makes it much easier for these Grass-types to switch into Scald. The rest of Diancie's preferred teammates generally depend on the type of team this set is used on. When on a stall team, Diancie likes Toxic Spikes support from the likes of Qwilfish, Weezing, and Cofagrigus, while Diancie's Heal Bell can keep status ailments from crippling them. Roselia is very notable due to its strong matchup against most Grass- and Water-types and its ability to run both Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Bulky offensive Pokemon, such as Seismitoad, the previously mentioned Venusaur, and Escavalier, work very well on balance and bulky offense teams because they have good defensive synergy with Diancie and appreciate its Heal Bell support in return. Bronzong and Jellicent are notable defensive partners for Diancie. Bronzong can run Stealth Rock to free up a moveslot for Diancie, check dangerous physical threats, and even provide a secondary check to Exploud, and Jellicent can keep Blastoise and Hitmontop from spinning away Stealth Rock with its typing and access to Taunt.

Moves This set utilizes Trick Room to take advantage of Diancie's good coverage and low Speed to sweep. Trick Room is what makes a sweep possible, as it turns Diancie's low base 50 Speed into an asset by flipping turn order in order to turn the tables on fast offensive Pokemon. Moonblast is the primary move, as it has good Base Power, is backed by STAB, and has no drawbacks. Earth Power is necessary to hit Mega Camerupt and Qwilfish for heavy damage. Psychic is preferred in the last slot to deal serious damage to Venusaur, Weezing, and Fletchinder. Diamond Storm is another option, as it gives Diancie a physical attack to hit Meloetta a bit harder and ensure that Fletchinder is OHKOed. Explosion can be useful if neither Psychic nor Diamond Storm is needed, as it can let Diancie go out with a bang and possibly get a teammate in for free to sweep with Trick Room. Hidden Power Fire can be a neat option to hit Escavalier and Bronzong harder than any other move on the set, but it makes Diancie quite susceptible to Fletchinder. Set Details The EV spread maximizes Diancie's overall bulk and damage output. If Diancie uses Diamond Storm or Explosion over Psychic, make sure the leftover EVs are shifted from Defense to Attack. Life Orb is the best item with this set to crank up Diancie's damage output. Usage Tips As Diancie wields Life Orb and lacks full defensive investment, one needs to be much more selective about what to switch it into. Fletchinder and Houndoom are ideal targets that Diancie reliably checks and can use to set up Trick Room. Diancie is just below the base 30 Speed threshold at 94 Speed with this spread, but this means that Mega Camerupt and Escavalier not investing in Speed can still outspeed Diancie under Trick Room. While these are very rare occurences, it would be a shame to lose Diancie to these, so guard against this by hitting them with Earth Power upon switch in to try and wear them down. Remember that Trick Room's negative priority will make it go even after Roar and Whirlwind, so make sure to use the appropriate offensive move against users of these moves so that they can be worn down. This set's coverage can allow Diancie to sweep or break down defensive cores depending on the opposing team. Save it for late-game if possible if Diancie can sweep, but don't be afraid to use that coverage earlier if it can break down defensive cores more reliably. When using Explosion, it's best used after Diancie has set up Trick Room and is too low on HP to finish a sweep on its own so that a teammate can come in for free to finish the job. Team Options Emboar and Abomasnow are perhaps the most notable teammates for Diancie. Both benefit from Trick Room, and Emboar is able to easily push past bothersome Steel-type Pokemon, while Abomasnow shares similar checks and counters to Diancie, thus allowing both to overwhelm them. Trick Room setters, such as Mesprit, Slowking, and Bronzong, are noteworthy to lessen the pressure on Diancie to keep Trick Room up. Mesprit provides added support with Stealth Rock and Healing Wish, Slowking is able to check Steelix while running Fire-type coverage for Escavalier, and Bronzong can utilize Stealth Rock and get Diancie in safely with Explosion. This set can still be used as a standalone sweeper, so non-Trick Room teammates are perfectly viable options. Samurott, Venusaur, Hitmonlee, and Gallade are more than capable of pressuring most defensive cores for Diancie. No matter what this set runs, Bronzong is a major annoyance, so make sure there's at least a couple of teammates that can pressure it or take it out. Emboar and Gallade are great options that have already been mentioned. Pursuit support from Absol, Spiritomb, Escavalier, and Houndoom is another option to quickly wear down Bronzong for Diancie.

Moves Stealth Rock gives Diancie some utility, allowing it to support its team by racking up chip damage on the opposition. Moonblast is Diancie's strongest special STAB attack, which, combined with full investment, is capable of OHKOing many Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-types such as Spiritomb, Flygon, and Hitmonlee while also dealing solid damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Diamond Storm allows Diancie to check Flying-types such as Fletchinder and Togetic; combined with Moonblast, it gives Diancie perfect super effective coverage against every entry hazard remover in the tier except Blastoise. Earth Power hits the Fire-, Poison-, and Steel-types that resist Moonblast super effectively. Psychic can also be used in the last slot to deal serious damage to Poison-types such as Venusaur and Weezing that are not hit super effectively by Earth Power. Set Details The given EV spread and a Quiet nature maximize Diancie's offensive prowess and bulk. Shuca Berry allows Diancie to set up Stealth Rock on or potentially eliminate Ground-types such as Flygon and Rhyperior that would normally force it out. It additionally makes Diancie a solid answer to Mega Camerupt, especially if it's packing Earth Power. An alternate spread of 252 HP / 92 Atk / 164 SpA can be used to ensure that Diamond Storm OHKOes offensive Sigilyph, guaranteeing that it will not be able to potentially Roost stall or set up. Usage Tips This set best fits on bulky offensive teams that require Diancie's unique set of resistances and utility without killing momentum. Because this set lacks the bulk of other sets and has no form of recovery, try to avoid switching Diancie into even neutral attacks, as it will otherwise quickly be worn down. Diancie at least 2HKOes every entry hazard remover in the tier except Blastoise and forces many switches due to its numerous resistances, so it is capable of setting Stealth Rock several times throughout a match. Be wary of Toxic and Will-O-Wisp users such as Alomomola and Jellicent, as these forms of status will wear down Diancie very quickly and prevent it from checking the threats it should. Make sure to scout for super effective coverage on Pokemon that could potentially have it; Iron Head Scrafty and Registeel and Iron Tail Absol are common examples. Make sure to preserve Diancie when it's needed as an emergency check for opposing Ground-types or Pokemon such as Aerodactyl that commonly carry Ground-type coverage, including avoiding switching it into Knock Off. Team Options Any setup sweeper, especially fast or Speed-boosting ones such as Fletchinder and Rock Polish Rhyperior, appreciates the chip damage that Stealth Rock provides, which may allow it to break through its typical checks and counters. Weezing makes for a good partner, as it's capable of handling threatening Grass- and Ground-types such as Venusaur and Rhyperior and crippling them with a burn. Venusaur itself works as well, because it handles Water- and Grass-types like Blastoise (the one entryhazard remover that Diancie cannot 2HKO after Stealth Rock damage) and Rotom-C while appreciating Diancie's ability to deal with the Flying- and Fire-types, such as Golbat and Houndoom, that threaten it. Because Diancie can lure in and weaken or eliminate Steel- and Poison-types such as Steelix and Qwilfish that expect a defensive set lacking Earth Power, Choice Band Granbull can take advantage of these shared checks being removed and appreciates the chip damage from Stealth Rock. Choice Scarf Medicham and Fighting-types in general benefit from Diancie's ability to handle Spiritomb, threatening priority users such as Absol and Fletchinder, and other Flying-types while shoring up its incredibly low Speed and breaking through Steel-types like Registeel, which can quite comfortably absorb Earth Power and wear down Diancie with Seismic Toss and Toxic. Pokemon that can lure in bulky Water-types and afflict them with crippling status, such as defensive Emboar, Protect + Toxic Bronzong, and Fletchinder, are able to wear down these threats for Diancie's benefit. Flying-types such as Fletchinder and Sigilyph make for good partners due to their ability to deal with Grass-types like Venusaur and Virizion and to switch into Ground-type attacks aimed at Diancie. Diancie's ability to lure in and OHKO Flygon can clear the way for other threats such as Swords Dance Drapion and Expert Belt Emboar.

Moves Stealth Rock allows for chip damage on opposing Pokemon. Heal Bell provides status removal support for Diancie and its team. Heal Bell also allows Diancie to deal with Entei's Sacred Fire better by removing potential burns. Diamond Storm is useful for pressuring Flying-type Defoggers such as Crobat and Mandibuzz. Moonblast lets Diancie hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon, as well as Dragon-types and Fighting-types. Set Details Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery and is needed in order to take hits. Maximum HP and Defense investment allows Diancie to take on a lot of physical threats such as Entei and Toxicroak. The EVs can be shifted around to benefit your team better. For example, you can add more Special Defense investment if you already have a bulky Water-type to take on Fire-types. A Relaxed nature boosts Diancie's Defense and doesn't take away from any of its other important stats. Usage Tips Keeping Diancie healthy so it can check what's needed is really important. This requires keeping entry hazards off the field and making sure that if it does receive damage, it is getting healed back up with Wish from teammates. In most situations, Diancie can switch into Defoggers such as Crobat and Mandibuzz and continue to apply pressure with Diamond Storm or reset Stealth Rock. If Diancie is not needed for any real important reason later in the match, it can be sent out to try to dish some damage against foes before it goes down. Be careful to not let your opponent take advantage of Diancie, though, as there are some Pokemon that can use that opportunity to set up, like Doublade and Reuniclus. Team Options Diancie heavily appreciates Wish support due to its lack of reliable recovery. Pokemon that can provide this are Alomomola and Blissey. Diancie's fits well on defensive teams because it can compress many roles. To put it simply, if you need a defensive Fairy-type, a Stealth Rock setter, a Heal Bell cleric, and a Fire-resistant Pokemon all in one, Diancie can fit your team very well. Outside of that, it faces competition from Florges and Whimsicott as a supportive Fairy-type. Diancie also requires Pokemon that take on Steel- and Ground-types, such as Swampert and Chesnaught. It struggles to do anything against the likes of Tentacruel and Empoleon, so having a teammate that can take on both of these Pokemon is excellent. Toxicroak isn't scared of anything they can throw out, Electric-types like Mega Ampharos and Heliolisk can usually scare them off or get a KO, and strong Ground-types (preferably Ground-types that aren't weak to Scald) can also force both of these Pokemon out.

Moves Stealth Rock makes Diancie a nice offensive entry hazard setter and can also help it get certain KOs. Moonblast is Diancie's best special STAB move that hits Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types, outright OHKOing Hydreigon. Diamond Storm helps to hit Flying-, Fire-, and Ice-types such as Tornadus, Rotom-H, and Froslass. Earth Power is a nice alternative to hit Steel-types that try to switch in, such as Doublade and Aggron, and Fire-types if Diancie gets burned. Set Details Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery outside of Rest and helps with its longevity. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, but it allows it to not lose any offensive power from Intimidate or random stat drops. 252 HP EVs allow Diancie to take attacks better, which is very important, as Diancie doesn't have reliable recovery. 252 Special Attack EVs in tandem with a Quiet nature maximizes its overall damage output. A Quiet nature is used because Diancie doesn't want to cut away from its bulk or make Diamond Storm weaker, and it already has mediocre Speed anyways. Usage Tips For the most part, Diancie doesn't have a lot of offensive presence against anything that it doesn't hit super effectively. Don't give up free turns to Pokemon Diancie cannot do too much damage to such as Snorlax and Suicune, as it becomes setup fodder. Earth Power should be used to catch incoming Steel-type switch-ins. Diancie can struggle to find switch in opportunities on occasion, but its best opportunities are on Choice-locked Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Darmanitan. Team Options Pokemon that have good matchups against Steel-types like Swampert, Cobalion, and Krookodile aid against Diancie's biggest bane. Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, so having good entry hazard control is key to its longevity. Diancie can handle Fire-types pretty solidly, so teammates such as Mega Abomasnow and Shaymin can come in more safely, and in return, they can remove Water-types that threaten Diancie. Fire-types such as Arcanine and Entei help to remove Grass-types that can punish Diancie. Since Diancie has no recovery outside of Leftovers, which can be removed with Knock Off, Wish support from Pokemon like Alomomola and Blissey can help out. Diancie helps against opposing Dragon-types, so the likes of Mega Sceptile and Kyurem can take advantage of that. Diancie fits best onto bulky offensive teams due to its ability to check and counter a plethora of things. Cleric support helps Diancie, as it doesn't possess reliable recovery and tends to not carry Heal Bell, meaning it gets crippled by status. Pokemon such as Alomomola and Umbreon can perform this role.

Moves Trick Room allows Diancie and slower teammates to get the edge against faster Pokemon. Stealth Rock gives Diancie another purpose other than Trick Room and gives the team a Stealth Rock setter, allowing it to break Focus Sash and Sturdy and get chip damage in. Explosion allows Diancie to KO itself while doing massive damage to the foe, letting teammates utilize the maximum number of Trick Room turns. Moonblast is a very spammable STAB move that allows Diancie to hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon. Diamond Storm is Diancie's highest-damaging move and hits Flying-types such as Mandibuzz as well as specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges and Hoopa. Set Details Life Orb boosts the power of all of Diancie's attacks. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, but it allows it to not get harmed by random defense drops or Intimidate. A Brave nature boosts the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and lowers Diancie's Speed, meaning it outspeeds neutral-natured Slowking in Trick Room. Maximum Attack and Special Attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible. Running 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible, allowing it to outspeed most offensive threats in Trick Room. Mental Herb protects Diancie from Taunt once so it can always set up Trick Room. 252 EVs can be taken from either Special Attack or Attack and added in HP to allow Diancie to take hits better. Usage Tips Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room teams unless the opponent has a suicide lead, Empoleon, or Tentacruel. Diancie should optimize the order of its moves by using Stealth Rock first and then Trick Room; this way you don't waste a turn of Trick Room. If Diancie cannot take two hits from the opposing Pokemon, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion. Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the opposing Pokemon super effectively, unless that Pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie. Opposing Taunt leads are an exception to not using Diamond Storm; for example, if Diancie is facing Froslass, using Diamond Storm prevents it from wasting a turn if Froslass uses Taunt. Team Options The main reason to use this set is to support slower, hard-hitting Pokemon such as Pangoro, Crawdaunt, Dragalge, and Machamp. Mega Camerupt and other slow Fire-types help to remove Steel-types that trouble Diancie, while Crawdaunt can deal with Ground-types like Nidoking and Mamoswine. Diancie can apply offensive pressure once it activates Trick Room, but it does like to have Pokemon that back it up. Ground- and Fire-types deal with Diancie's Steel weakness quite well, and the latter can also deal with Grass-types that threaten Diancie. Diancie also likes fellow Trick Room setters such as Porygon2, Cresselia, and Aromatisse to help keep Trick Room up. Bronzong can complement Diancie a lot, resisting Grass- and Steel-type attacks while also being immune to Ground-type attacks thanks to Levitate. Diancie can cover Bronzong's Dark and Fire weaknesses extremely well in return.

Moves Rock Polish doubles Mega Diancie's Speed stat, allowing it to outspeed the majority of the metagame, including weather sweepers such as Mega Swampert, Kingdra, Tornadus-T, and Excadrill. Moonblast is Mega Diancie's most optimal STAB move, allowing it to KO Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-types such as Mega Altaria, Cyclohm, Sableye, Keldeo, and Tomohawk. Diamond Storm OHKOes common threats such as Talonflame, Mollux, Mega Pinsir, Syclant, and both Mega Charizard Evolutions. It also 2HKOes Pyroak as well as Aurumoth. Earth Power is used to hit Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon that resist Moonblast, such as Heatran, Mollux, and Plasmanta. Hidden Power Fire can also be run on Mega Diancie to get past Ferrothorn and lure in Scizor. However, running this over Earth Power will give up some power on against Mega Metagross. Set Details Maximum Special Attack investment with a Rash Nature maximizes Mega Diancie's special damage output. 192 Speed EVs are specifically to outspeed Jolly Sand Rush Excadrill, the fastest weather sweeper in the game, and Mega Diancie almost always will OHKO it with an Earth Power. There are 64 Speed EVs left, which should be put into HP because Mega Diancie doesn't necessarily need Attack investment to OHKO Fire- and Flying-types with Diamond Storm. Finally, it is not recommended to run a Speed-boosting nature due to Rock Polish boosting Mega Diancie's Speed to the necessary levels. Usage Tips It is not recommended set up Rock Polish right away due to the prevalence of Bullet Punch users and common Pokemon that wall Mega Diancie indefinitely. Early-game, Mega Diancie can soften up walls such as Ferrothorn, Pyroak, and Tomohawk, but it's certainly not an early-game sweeper. Wait until all of Mega Diancie's checks and counters are gone or weakened, and then use Rock Polish to clean up late-game. When playing offensive teams that have no priority and rely on speed to beat Mega Diancie, Rock Polish can be used to end them. Pick the right Pokemon to set up on with Mega Diancie, such as Revanankh, Mew, or Sableye. Try to find a way to Mega Evolve and boost on the same turn, usually against a slower Pokemon Mega Diancie can easily knock out. Finally, due to Mega Diancie's frailty, playing it safe is the best way to use it, especially when it's the wincon in a game. Team Options Mega Diancie + Talonflame is a well known hyper offense core because Mega Diancie primarily has trouble with Steel-types, which are taken care of by Swords Dance Talonflame. Furthermore, Mega Diancie can take care of Talonflame's checks, such as Cyclohm and defensive Garchomp. Celebi Baton Passing Nasty Plot boosts to a Rock Polish Diancie can make it very threatening, because an Earth Power OHKOes Mega Metagross at +2; just be careful of Bullet Punch. Furthermore, Celebi resists Ground- and Water-type attacks, two of Mega Diancie's weaknesses. In addition, Steel-type checks are necessary so that Mega Diancie can be preserved until all of its checks are gone and can sweep late-game. Good options are Mollux, Heatran, Volkraken, and Cyclohm. Lastly, with its Magnet Pull ability, Magnezone can trap many Steel-types and harm them with Hidden Power Fire, enabling Mega Diancie to have an easier time cleaning up the opponent's team. However, while Magnezone can trap Steel-type Pokemon for Mega Diancie, Shed Shell is an item Steel-types tend to run, preventing Magnezone from trapping them reliably. Notable Shed Shell users are Skarmory and Ferrothorn.

Moves Moonblast is arguably Mega Diancie's best STAB move because Fairy is such a fantastic type in the CAP metagame. Diamond Storm picks up KOs against Flying-type Pokemon such as Mega Pinsir, Mega Pidgeot, and Talonflame. It also hurts Fire-types such as Mollux, Pyroak, and Volkraken. Earth Power and Moonblast form an extraordinary pair of moves, as they cover so much of the tier. Moonblast is used to take down Dragon-, Fighting-, and Dark-type Pokemon such as Cyclohm, Tomohawk, and Colossoil, and Earth Power hits all the types that resist Fairy for super effective damage. Some Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon that Earth Power KOes are Heatran, Mollux, and Plasmanta. Finally, Protect is run to safely Mega Evolve and obtain the resulting Speed boost. It's also used to scout what move opposing Choice item users ultimately lock themselves into. On the other hand, because of how predictable Protect is, Hidden Power Fire can be run instead, making this set a more deadly all-out attacker. Hidden Power Fire can also be used over Earth Power, though, Mega Diancie needs both of its STAB moves to fill its niche. Mega Diancie lures bulky Steel-types in such as Ferrothorn and Scizor, which it can 2HKO with Hidden Power Fire on the switch. Because its STAB moves are necessary, Hidden Power Fire could be used over Earth Power or Protect. However, losing that one Speed IV will cause Mega Diancie to lose out in Speed ties with other base 110 Speed Pokemon. Set Details Maximum Special Attack EVs increase Mega Diancie's damage output. Mega Diancie should run maximum Speed EVs and a Speed-boosting nature to outspeed base 108 Speed Pokemon such as Keldeo and Terrakion. A Naive nature is preferred over Hasty to prevent Mega Diancie from taking more damage from physical attacks, especially priority moves such as Talonflame's Brave Bird, Breloom's Mach Punch, and Colossoil's Sucker Punch. Usage Tips If running Protect over Hidden Power Fire, it's usually recommended to lead with Diancie to obtain Magic Bounce and the Speed boost. Protect should be used to let Diancie Mega Evolve safely, allowing it to attack next turn with its higher Speed stat. However, it might also let the foe to setup for free, so try to judge if the opponent's Pokemon has any setup moves. If Mega Diancie has Hidden Power Fire over Protect, Mega Evolve against a foe that it has a good matchup against, such as Cyclohm, Talonflame, or Mega Sableye. Furthermore, try to predict the Steel-types that normally check Mega Diancie and KO them with Hidden Power Fire. In addition, because Mega Diancie is very frail, don't switch it into any Pokemon that might be able to hit it with a super effective move. Only switch Mega Diancie in on a favorable matchup. Some Pokemon that Mega Diancie can switch into safely are Talonflame, Mew, and Sableye. Team Options Garchomp is a great teammate for Mega Diancie, taking on its checks such as Scizor and Ferrothorn comfortably. Mega Diancie can't hit Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn for an ample amount of damage without Hidden Power Fire, so Magnezone is the perfect partner, as it can use its Magnet Pull ability to trap several Steel-types and harm them with Hidden Power Fire. However, while Magnezone can trap Steel-type Pokemon for Mega Diancie, Shed Shell is often used on Steel-Types such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn to prevent them from being trapped by Magnet Pull. Colossoil, being able to lure those Pokemon in, can remove their Shed Shells with Knock Off and also baits in bulky Steel-types to bring in Magnezone with U-turn. Colossoil also U-turns on the predicted Tomohawk switch so Mega Diancie will get a good matchup and be able to heavily damage a foe. Another potential core is Mega Diancie + Talonflame. The threats that Mega Diancie has trouble with are primarily Steel-types, which are taken care of by Swords Dance Talonflame. Furthermore, Mega Diancie can take care of Talonflame's checks, such as Cyclohm and defensive Garchomp. Steel-type checks such as Cyclohm, Mollux, Heatran, and Volkraken are also great Mega Diancie partners.

Moves Moonblast is Mega Diancie's primary option for a STAB attack, allowing it to check Dark- and Dragon-type Pokemon. Meanwhile, Diamond Storm has use to hit threats such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Blissey; it also prevents Diancie from being trapped and becoming setup bait to the rare Gothitelle. Earth Power is typically Diancie's best option for a coverage move, as it hits common switch-ins such as Primal Groudon and Steel-types. In the final slot, Diancie has several options. Protect ensures a safe Mega Evolution and has other utility such as scouting. Heal Bell, on the other hand, allows Diancie to give emergency cleric support for a more offensive team. Lastly, Calm Mind can be used to turn Diancie into a stallbreaker that doesn't mind Ho-Oh or Lugia, two common threats to Calm Mind users. Magic Bounce further supports Diancie's efforts to use Calm Mind, as it provides an immunity to Toxic and phazing moves, thus allowing Calm Mind Diancie to pressure stall teams hard if opposing Primal Groudon and Kyogre have been eliminated. Hidden Power Fire is an alternate coverage move for Diancie that hits switch-ins such as Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Genesect much harder than Earth Power. In the final slot, Stealth Rock is an option if it is too detrimental to fit anywhere else on your team, and Mega Diancie has the benefit of being immune to Taunt; however, Mega Diancie's lack of bulk compared to alternative non-suicide entry hazard setters is disappointing. Set Details 176 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow Mega Diancie to outspeed base 100 Speed Pokemon. A Timid nature is used because the Attack drop does not significantly impact any targets of Diamond Storm, although Naive is an option to have sightly more physical power at the cost of some special bulk. Significant Special Attack investment keeps this set offensive and allows it to OHKO threats such as Rayquaza and Mega Salamence. The remaining EVs go into Attack to make Diamond Storm hit slightly harder. If Hidden Power Fire is being used, run at least 180 Speed EVs with a Timid nature due to the IV drop. Maximum Speed is an option when Diancie is not using Hidden Power Fire to Speed tie with opposing base 110 Speed Pokemon. A Modest nature can be used for the extra power and is best used with Calm Mind in the final slot. The added power gives Mega Diancie the ability to OHKO Pokemon such as Giratina-O and Latios, as well as 2HKO Arceus formes that do not have defensive investment, provided Stealth Rock is in play. After a Calm Mind boost, Modest Mega Diancie is able to duel Arceus-Water and win, and it can also OHKO the standard Primal Groudon set with a +1 Earth Power, something a Timid nature falls short of. A +1 Moonblast can 2HKO any Arceus forme that does not resist Fairy after Stealth Rock damage. Usage Tips The Mega Evolution turn is very important, especially when Diancie is not using Protect. Diancie has more bulk when not Mega-Evolved, so when it needs to survive a certain attack, sometimes the right choice is to not Mega Evolve. When using Protect, the danger of giving your opponent a free setup turn is present, although you don't have to worry about entry hazard stacking. Mega Evolving early is important for a Magic Bounce user, as Mega Diancie will want to be sent in to Magic Bounce certain attacks. Because the intended targets of Earth Power and Hidden Power Fire can punish Mega Diancie hard, you'll often have to rely on predictions to hit them as they come in. Although Mega Diancie isn't a glass cannon, it's far from indestructible; because it lacks recovery, instantaneous or passive, there are only so many times this set can switch into even resisted attacks. Even though Mega Diancie has Magic Bounce, it doesn't necessarily lead well against all common leads; Primal Groudon and Dialga can be very dangerous due to their type advantages, as can Deoxys-A with Psycho Boost. Team Options Ho-Oh is an excellent partner for offensive Mega Diancie, as it threatens Steel-types and appreciates the anti-entry hazard support provided by Magic Bounce. Latias and Latios are good choices as well because they can fit on offensively oriented teams and provide a Ground immunity, while in return Diancie checks Dark-types and can offer cleric support. Giratina-O also provides a Ground immunity and appreciates Diancie's checking of common Dark-types. Primal Groudon also checks Kyogre and destroys Steel-types, which is highly useful for Diancie. Arceus-Ghost can check Extreme Killer Arceus and Landorus-T and benefits from Diancie's checking of Darkrai and Yveltal in return. Diancie can struggle with Calm Mind Arceus formes that aren't weak to Fairy, so checks such as Ho-Oh and Darkrai are appreciated.

Moves Diancie is a Trick Room setter that is not at all afraid of Ho-Oh or Yveltal, allowing it to provide effective support to its team. Stealth Rock is great on this set as well, as Diancie repels Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock such as Ho-Oh and Yveltal. Diamond Storm is this set's best option for a STAB attack, as it deals significant damage to Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, offensive Yveltal, and Mega Salamence. Explosion can be a great last-ditch move, and when using it in conjunction with Trick Room, Diancie can KO itself on support Arceus formes and prevent Defog. Set Details Because this set needs to be able to take a few hits as setup occurs, 248 HP EVs are used to offset Diancie's low base HP. Diancie already has very high defenses, so 252 Attack EVs with a Brave nature are used to allow Diamond Storm and Explosion to hit their intended targets as hard as possible. A Life Orb further boosts the power of Diancie's attacks at the cost of some HP; however, this drawback is completely irrelevant when using Explosion. A Speed-reducing nature in addition to 0 Speed IVs is used to minimize Diancie's Speed, allowing it to move first once Trick Room has been set. Usage Tips This set is underutilized, so its unexpectedness should be capitalized upon. Diancie can often set Trick Room on the switch, but unfortunately, Steel-types are highly threatening regardless of if Diancie moves first or not. Deciding when to, if at all, use Explosion can be tricky, particularly once the set is revealed, so be wary of Protect users and Ghost-types. This set can switch into Ho-Oh if necessary, but because its moves are physical, Diancie does not want to risk being burned from Sacred Fire. Team Options The best teammates for this set are Pokemon that can effectively take advantage of Trick Room. Typically, the Pokemon are quite powerful and bulky but are also hampered by their mediocre Speed stats. Some examples of potential Trick Room attackers include Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Mega Mawile, and Ho-Oh. Dialga and Palkia are notorious setters and abusers of Trick Room and can dually function as checks to Kyogre. Ground-immune Pokemon in general are handy for this set due to the prevalence of Primal Ground and Ground-type coverage.

Moves Protect is invaluable for ensuring a safe Mega Evolution turn and has general utility for scouting moves and stalling. Diamond Storm prevents this set from being bait for specially defensive Pokemon such as Ho-Oh, Blissey, and Gothitelle. Moonblast allows Mega Diancie to hit the Dark- and Dragon-types that it is intended to check, such as Darkrai and Rayquaza. Although Steel-types are immune to Toxic and tend to switch into Diancie, it is still a great move, as it can nail Arceus formes and Primal Groudon. Heal Bell provides cleric support to teammates and is especially useful because Mega Diancie is immune to Taunt. Although Stealth Rock is not slashed, Diancie can function as a setter if there is no room for the move on another teammate. Set Details 248 HP EVs are used to make this set more bulky, but Mega Diancie is still hampered to an extent because of its low base HP along with its lack of instant recovery. 136 Speed EVs are just enough to outspeed Adamant Rayquaza. 124 Defense EVs with a Defense-boosting nature allow Mega Diancie to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Band Ho-Oh Brave Bird, survive Earthquake from maximum Attack Rayquaza, survive +1 Mega Salamence Earthquake, and tank other physical attacks. A Bold nature is used because the Attack drop does not significantly impact any targets of Diamond Storm. Impish is the better option if Diancie is not using Moonblast, though, as it will only have a physical move. Alternatively, a spread of 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe with a Bold nature beats base 90 Speed Pokemon and gains a bit of physical bulk. Maximum Defense is also an option to guarantee that Mega Diancie is 3HKOed by Choice Band Ho-Oh Brave Bird after Stealth Rock and survives +1 Mega Salamence Earthquake after Stealth Rock; the loss of Speed isn't that great of an issue, as Diancie loses to common base 90 Speed Pokemon anyway. Usage Tips Although Protect ensures Diancie's safe Mega Evolution, it can give the opposing Pokemon a free setup turn. It is also important to note that Diancie has better bulk before Mega Evolution, so don't Mega Evolve on an attack that would knock out Mega Diancie but that regular Diancie would survive. Even though Diamond Storm gives frequent Defense boosts, don't allow this to trick you into thinking that Mega Diancie can comfortably tank a Bullet Punch or Earthquake; it is usually better to switch into an appropriate counter. Mega Diancie is good at forcing switches, and it is during these times that it is best to use Heal Bell. Team Options Latias and Latios are great partners for this set. Both greatly appreciate the cleric support and the check to Dark-types that Mega Diancie provides, and in return they check both Primal Groudon and Kyogre. Ho-Oh appreciates the anti-entry hazard support provided by Mega Diancie and can annihilate common Steel-types. Other Pokemon immune to Ground-type attacks, such as Giratina-O, are also good teammates for Mega Diancie and in return are provided cleric support. Arceus-Ghost is greatly threatened by Yveltal, Darkrai, and status users, all of which can be checked by Diancie while Arceus-Ghost can check Extreme Killer Arceus, Landorus-T, and Mewtwo. Due to its lack of instant recovery, Wish support for Mega Diancie is highly appreciated when using this set on more defensive teams. Lugia's common checks, such as Stealth Rock, Toxic, Taunt, and Dark-types, can all be effectively combated with Diancie, while Diancie appreciates Lugia's ability to check Primal Groudon. Primal Groudon serves as a good check to Kyogre and the Steel-types that can threaten Diancie. Due to Mewtwo's dislike for status and Yveltal, Diancie naturally pairs well with it.

Moves Moonblast is Mega Diancie's primary STAB move, which lets it hit Pokemon on Fighting and Dragon teams super effectively, notably Breloom and Latios, and also provides decent neutral coverage. Diamond Storm is Mega Diancie's other STAB move, letting it hit Fire-, Bug-, Flying-, and Ice-types like Volcarona, Mega Pinsir, Mega Charizard Y, and Weavile super effectively, and, like Moonblast, provides decent neutral coverage. Mega Pinsir is an important Pokemon to hit, as after a Swords Dance, it's really threatening to Rock teams. Earth Power lets Mega Diancie hit opposing Electric-, Rock-, and Steel-types that can possibly threaten it or its teammates, such as Magnezone, opposing Mega Diancie, and Heatran. Protect lets Diancie safely Mega Evolve and allows it to scout the foe's moves and for potential Choice item users. Set Details Clear Body lets Diancie switch into Intimidate and Sticky Web before Mega Evolving. Magic Bounce is the ability Diancie obtains after Mega Evolving, which lets it switch into any possible Klefki, Whimsicott, or Sableye, as well as most entry hazard setters; Magic Bounce is especially useful because it prevents Mega Diancie from being inflicted with a status ailment. Maximum Special Attack and Speed investment, as well as 4 Attack EVs and a Naive nature, allow Mega Diancie to hit as hard and as fast as possible. A Naive nature is preferred over a Hasty one because it guarantees that Mega Diancie will never get OHKOed by Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick. Usage Tips If you haven't Mega Evolved Diancie yet, switch it in on any potential Intimidate switch-ins, Mementos, or stat-lowering moves. Use Mega Diancie to wallbreak early-game to help set up a late-game sweep from a teammate. Try preserving Mega Diancie's health so it can sweep late-game after faster threats have been removed or Sticky Web is up and the opposing team is weakened. For example, Mega Diancie can potentially sweep Fighting teams quickly after Sticky Web is set up. It is recommended to use Protect while Mega Evolving to prevent any severe damage loss, even if Diancie will outspeed the foe on the first turn, to prevent it from taking any excessive damage. Try to Mega Evolve early-game to prevent entry hazard setters from getting entry hazards up on your side thanks to Magic Bounce. Rather than switching in on attacks, switch Mega Diancie in on various status users like Sableye to bounce the status ailments back, as those are more reliable opportunities to switch in safely. Team Options Mega Diancie appreciates the sand that Tyranitar provides with Sand Stream because of the boost in Special Defense that sand gives to make up for a Naive nature; Assault Vest Tyranitar specifically is a good specially defensive wall that can pivot into attacks intended to hit Mega Diancie. In return, Tyranitar appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to take care of Fighting-types. Cradily can absorb Grass- and Water-type attacks for Mega Diancie and use Toxic to wear down walls that Mega Diancie can't break, and physically defensive Cradily is good to take on Mega Gyarados, because regular Gyarados's Intimidate lowers Mega Diancie's Attack, which allows it to survive a Diamond Storm after Mega Evolving. Omastar appreciates Mega Diancie's wallbreaking help, as it allows Omastar to switch in and set up on weakened teams. Mega Diancie appreciates Shuckle's ability to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web and drain the HP and PP of bulky and threatening Pokemon with Toxic and Encore, respectively; Sticky Web is especially important, as it lets Mega Diancie become a major threat to Fighting teams. Rhyperior is an outstanding teammate because it can survive multiple Bullet Punches from Scizor and Mega Scizor due to its great bulk and access to Solid Rock, making it almost a required teammate for Mega Diancie. Choice Band Terrakion is a good teammate because it takes care of walls that Mega Diancie cannot, such as Porygon2, Skarmory, and Chansey. All of Mega Diancie's teammates appreciate its ability to reflect status and entry hazards.

Moves Trick Room lets Diancie and its teammates easily outspeed and KO a plethora of foes. Moonblast is Diancie's primary STAB move, letting it hit Pokemon on Fighting and Dragon teams like Breloom and Latios super effectively and providing decent neutral coverage. Diamond Storm lets Diancie hit Bug-, Flying-, and Ice-types like Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, Mega Charizard Y, and Weavile super effectively and also provides decent neutral coverage. Earth Power lets Diancie hit opposing Electric-, Rock-, and Steel-types that can possibly threaten it or its teammates like Magnezone, Mega Diancie, and Heatran. Stealth Rock is an alternative to Trick Room and lets Diancie support its teammates by allowing them to get easier KOs, and it annoys the opponent by causing their Pokemon to take residual damage. However, Stealth Rock is better used on teammates like Shuckle if possible for more reliability on slower Rock teams. Set Details Leftovers provides Diancie with a reliable form of passive recovery. Clear Body grants Diancie with an immunity to Intimidate and various stat-lowering moves. A Quiet nature, alongside maximum Special Attack investment and 252 HP EVs, allows Diancie to survive as many hits as possible while still maintaining a decent offensive presence. Use a Relaxed nature and an EV spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD if you're running Stealth Rock on Diancie; this allows it to make use of both its offensive and its defensive stats. Usage Tips Setting up Trick Room as early as possible is key to allow for as much fast attacking as possible on slower Rock teams. Try to use Diancie as a switch-in to Intimidate or any other stat-lowering conditions that are applicable. Avoid Steel-type attacks as much as possible, as Diancie is 4x weak to Steel. If you're running Stealth Rock over Trick Room on Diancie, take advantage of its ability to bluff a Mega Diancie set to force switches to allow for more opportunities to set up. This Diancie set can be used to switch into resisted attacks; however, be careful while doing so, as chip damage makes it more difficult for Diancie to reliably set up Trick Room throughout the match. Try to set up Trick Room against more passive Pokemon mid-game to keep Diancie healthy enough to repeatedly set it up. Team Options All slow Rock-types appreciate Diancie's ability to set up Trick Room, as most of them benefit from it. The team should not be focused entirely on Trick Room, as Diancie is the only viable Rock-type with access to the move, so once it's KOed, the team loses out on future uses. Tyranitar is a good teammate because it provides Diancie with sand, which gives it more special bulk. In return, Tyranitar appreciates Diancie's ability to get rid of Fighting-types. Cradily can absorb Grass- and Water-type attacks for Diancie to help it survive longer. Mega Aggron is immune to Poison-type moves, resists Steel-type moves, and has Filter to take care of Ground-types, making it perfect to deal with threats like Scizor for Diancie. Diancie appreciates Shuckle's ability to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web and drain the HP and PP of bulky and threatening Pokemon with Toxic and Encore, respectively; however, Shuckle's Sticky Web can backfire on Trick Room Diancie teams, as the Pokemon might be slow enough after switching into Sticky Web to outspeed Diancie under Trick Room. Terrakion is a nice wallbreaking teammate that operates well outside of Trick Room, giving your team a useful Pokemon for when Diancie cannot set it up.

Moves Moonblast is Mega Diancie's strongest Fairy-type attack and does a lot of damage to most Pokemon that don't resist it due to Mega Diancie's amazing Special Attack. It's great for hitting Fighting-types such as Terrakion and Dragon-types such as Mega Garchomp. Diamond Storm is Mega Diancie's secondary STAB move, which is very useful for hitting Bug-, Flying-, and Fire-types such as Mega Pinsir, Zapdos, and Volcanion, as well as specially defensive walls. Hidden Power Fire hits Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Scizor on the switch, but it misses out on hitting Heatran. Alternatively, Earth Power can be used for hitting non-Air Balloon Heatran, although Diamond Storm deals with any offensive variants of Heatran pretty well and hitting Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Scizor is more important. Protect allows Diancie to safely Mega Evolve and gain its base 110 Speed, as well as scout for which move Choice-locked Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Diggersby will go for. Set Details Full investment in Speed with a Hasty nature allows Mega Diancie to be as fast as possible. 20 EVs in Attack allows Mega Diancie to almost always 2HKO offensive Heatran with Diamond Storm. The remaining EVs go into Special Attack to increase the damage output of Mega Diancie's special moves and allow Mega Diancie to OHKO offensive Mega Scizor with Hidden Power Fire. A Hasty nature allows Mega Diancie to always survive Sludge Wave from Life Orb Gengar and Thunderbolt from Life Orb Thundurus after Stealth Rock. Usage Tips In pretty much every matchup, Diancie should Mega Evolve as soon as possible so it can prevent entry hazards from going up and status from being spread. It's guaranteed to get off a safe Mega Evolution with Protect, although that's very predictable and can be taken advantage of. Mega Diancie can use Protect to its advantage in any point of the game to scout Choice item-using foes and stall out weather such as sand against Ground teams with Hippowdon and Excadrill, rain against Swift Swim Water teams, and sun against Mega Charizard Y teams. Mega Diancie should be used to wallbreak early-game in some matchups such as against Flying, Bug, and Water so one of its teammates can clean up late-game. However, it can also serve as a late-game cleaner itself in matchups such as against Fighting and Dragon if faster threats have been removed, and as a result, needs to be kept healthy. Due to its lack of recovery and poor bulk, switching it in on strong attackers should be avoided. Mega Diancie can take advantage of its Magic Bounce ability and get free switches to bounce back entry hazards and status moves from passive Pokemon like Shuckle and Sableye. In matchups such as against Flying and Grass, revealing Hidden Power Fire early should be avoided to potentially lure in and KO Pokemon such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn, which wall Mega Diancie if it's not running Hidden Power Fire. Despite Mega Diancie's great wallbreaking capabilities, it's threatened by mixed walls such as Porygon2. Team Options Klefki is a great partner for Mega Diancie because of its ability to set up Reflect and Light Screen, which let Mega Diancie take hits better, set up Spikes, which let Mega Diancie wallbreak a lot more easily, spread paralysis, which Mega Diancie appreciates, and serve as a semi-reliable check to Mega Scizor if it's running Foul Play. Klefki also has an immunity to Poison and takes neutral damage from Steel-type attacks, which make it valuable for any Fairy-type team. Clefable also has the ability to spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, but it can also set up Stealth Rock to potentially put the foe in range of Mega Diancie's attacks. An Unaware variant of Clefable can serve as a reliable check to Mega Scizor, while a Calm Mind variant can serve as a sweeper that benefits from Mega Diancie's ability to get rid of Zapdos and Skarmory. Azumarill's physical wallbreaking capabilities allow it to get past specially defensive walls that may be an issue for Mega Diancie. Azumarill is also capable of dealing with Heatran and Empoleon, which are potential threats to Mega Diancie. Its access to Knock Off allows it to cripple Chansey and Porygon2, as well as hit Mew, all of which are great counters to Mega Diancie. Azumarill also appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to get rid of Pokemon such as Volcanion and Skarmory, which threaten its Belly Drum sweep. Togekiss has a Ground immunity, which helps Mega Diancie's Ground weakness. Another valuable thing that Togekiss possesses is the ability to threaten Steel-types with its access to Fire Blast and Aura Sphere, which it does more effectively when holding a Babiri Berry. Togekiss appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to bounce back Stealth Rock due to its weakness to Rock. A Nasty Plot variant of Togekiss can break through walls such as Mew, Porygon2, and Chansey, which Mega Diancie has issues dealing with. Choice Specs Sylveon is a great partner for Mega Diancie because it can break Pokemon such as Mew and Gliscor. Sylveon and Mega Diancie can split the coverage between themselves, as Mega Diancie can run Earth Power for hitting Heatran, while Sylveon can use Hidden Power Fire to hit the likes of Scizor and Ferrothorn. Choice Scarf Gardevoir is a solid partner due to its Trace ability, which lets it check Sand Rush Excadrill and Swift Swim Kingdra. Gardevoir is also able to check Poison-types such as Nidoking and Mega Venusaur, which threaten Mega Diancie, although physically defensive variants of Mega Venusaur almost never get 2HKOed by Gardevoir's Psyshock. Gardevoir's access to Healing Wish allows Mega Diancie to be played more recklessly and be healed up later in the game. Whimsicott is another great partner for Mega Diancie because it checks two of its weaknesses in Water and Ground thanks to its Grass typing. It can also use Encore against setup sweepers, such as Mega Scizor and Volcarona, and spread paralysis with Stun Spore.

Moves Diamond Storm functions as Mega Diancie's primary STAB move, dealing significant spread damage to both foes with a 50% chance to raise Mega Diancie's Defense stat for each foe it hits. These boosts can allow Mega Diancie to avoid getting revenge killed, most notably surviving a Landorus-T Earthquake after one Defense boost. With Diamond Storm, Mega Diancie can take out Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Zapdos, and Kyurem-B with nearly perfect accuracy. Moonblast stands as a solid option for Mega Diancie's secondary STAB attack, helping it cover many threats that Diamond Storm cannot, including the common Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types such as Keldeo, Hoopa-U, and Latios. Earth Power rounds out Mega Diancie's fantastic coverage, hitting Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Bisharp, and opposing Mega Diancie that would otherwise shrug it off. Protect is a staple move in Doubles, allowing Mega Diancie to stall out various field conditions or shield itself while a threat is eliminated by its partner. It also importantly because it allows Mega Diancie to safely gain its full base 110 Speed. Set Details Maximum investment in Speed and a boosting nature are needed to outrun many significant threats such as Keldeo, Salamence, and Mega Gardevoir, as well as Speed tie with opposing base 110s such as Gengar and Latios. 48 Special Attack EVs are used to guarantee an OHKO on Bisharp with Earth Power, with the remaining EVs placed in Attack to boost the power of Diamond Storm as much as possible. A Hasty nature is typically chosen over a Naive one, as its lowered Defense stat can be remedied by Diamond Storm boosts. This also allows Mega Diancie to survive an Earth Power from Kyurem-B, Heatran, or opposing Mega Diancie. However, Naive is an option to take more advantage of Diamond Storm boosts. A more specially based spread, using 56 Atk / 200 SpA / 252 Spe, is an option to guarantee the 2HKO on Mega Kangaskhan with Moonblast. However, this sacrifices a lot of Diamond Storm's power, which is the move Mega Diancie will be using a majority of its time on the field. Usage Tips In general, Mega Diancie should use Diamond Storm in order to deal the most damage possible to the opposing team, filling in any gaps in Diamond Storm's coverage with its other attacks. Protect should be used Diancie's first turn out a majority of the time, since it then only hits 218 Speed, leaving it slower than most of the metagame. This turn of Protect allows Diancie to Mega Evolve safely and gain not only its full Speed but also the useful Magic Bounce. Diancie works quite well as a lead, avoiding any Intimidate Attack drops coming from popular leads thanks to Clear Body and using Magic Bounce to deal with many common disruption tactics after it has Mega Evolved. Since Mega Evolution happens after any Pokemon are switched, Diancie is also able to avoid Intimidate from a Pokemon that switches in on the turn it Mega Evolves. With that in mind, Mega Diancie works at any point of the game, either opening up and clearing the path for a teammate to clean or doing so itself in the mid- or late-game. If Mega Diancie absolutely needs to survive a hit and attack back on its first turn on the field, it can postpone Mega Evolution to stay in its base forme, which has significantly higher defenses. This extra bulk is particularly notable when facing Trick Room teams, as it is not so necessary to get the boost in Speed provided by Mega Evolving, and it can mean the difference between surviving to the end of Trick Room's duration and being knocked out. Team Options Fire-types such as Talonflame, Heatran, and Volcarona beat many of the Grass- and Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Aegislash, and Venusaur that scare out Mega Diancie. Grass-types such as Breloom and Ferrothorn can remove Water-types for Mega Diancie, resist the Ground-type moves it's weak to, and appreciate the removal of Flying-types. Similarly, Electric-types such as Rotom-W and Thundurus do well against Water-types. Grass- and Electric-types also help ease Mega Diancie's otherwise difficult rain matchup. Strong Dark-type teammates are greatly appreciated as checks to Dark-weak Steel-types such as Aegislash, Bronzong, and Mega Metagross; some examples include Hoopa-U, Bisharp, and Hydreigon. Bisharp also has the advantage of discouraging Intimidate users from switching in with its Defiant ability. They also have the benefit of threatening bulky Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Jellicent and Cresselia that can practically ignore Mega Diancie thanks to their solid bulk. Anything that beats Landorus-T is much appreciated as a teammate by Mega Diancie, including Kyurem-B (especially Choice Scarf variants) and Keldeo. Similarly, a teammate such as Kyurem-B or Raikou that can take care of Thundurus is greatly appreciated, as fast sets with Flash Cannon outrun and OHKO Mega Diancie. Dragon-types, including Hydreigon and Salamence, benefit from Mega Diancie's ability to beat opposing Dragon-types without fearing their moves in return, and they also act as a solid switch-ins to Water- and Grass-type attacks. They also typically perform well against rain teams, which are one of Mega Diancie's weakest matchups. Steel-types have decent synergy with Mega Diancie, mostly appreciating the removal of Fire-types that Mega Diancie is so good at. Aegislash in particular is a great partner, as it can carry Wide Guard to protect Mega Diancie from Muddy Water or Earthquake and takes care of Bronzong or Mega Metagross. Jirachi also stands out as notable, helping Mega Diancie with redirection support and Icy Wind to help it take on especially fast foes.

Moves Diamond Storm is Diancie's main STAB move, dealing powerful spread damage while having a chance to boost Diancie's Defense. This Rock-type coverage, when combined with Fairy-type coverage in the form of Moonblast, which covers Fighting-types, leaves Diancie only walled by opposing Steel-types. Trick Room is a potent speed control move that gives Diancie's team the upper hand speed-wise for four more turns, allowing Diancie and its teammates room to sweep. Protect is useful for avoiding opposing damage and maneuvering for a better position with Diancie's partner. Set Details Stone Plate and 252 EVs in Attack bring Trick Room Diancie's Diamond Storm damage on par with Mega Diancie's, notably allowing it to 2HKO most neutral targets. Maximum HP EVs are used to compensate for Diancie's low base HP stat and to give it a respectable amount of bulk. While Stone Plate is preferred to avoid recoil damage, Life Orb can be used to give Diancie more damage output, notably having a better roll to KO defensive Thundurus while also boosting Moonblast enough to KO Keldeo with 108 Special Attack EVs—without Life Orb, however, there aren't any notable Special Attack benchmarks, and hence the standard spread has no Special Attack investment. If using Life Orb, a spread of 152 HP / 248 Atk / 108 SpA should be used, as this minimizes Life Orb recoil and hits the aforementioned Special Attack benchmark. Usage Tips The only foes that resist Diancie's dual coverage are Steel-types, so get rid of these immediately. More often than not, eliminating Aegislash or Jirachi early on grants Diancie a paved road to finish the game, so Diancie often works best mid- or late-game when these threats are eliminated. Defensively, Diancie brings many things to the table that no other setter can due to its unique Rock / Fairy typing. Take advantage of these unique good matchups—against Talonflame, Kangaskhan, Thundurus, and Hydreigon—for an opportunity to set up Trick Room, usually with Fake Out or redirection support. On the other hand, Diancie should do its best to avoid its difficult matchups, such as against opposing Steel-types, rain sweepers and bulky Water-types, and Amoonguss. Defensive boosts are also extremely useful: these can be used to easily tank and prevent a late-game Earthquake sweep after Trick Room goes down. Diancie's decent bulk also allows it to tank opposing Earth Power from Heatran, Kyurem-B, or Mega Diancie, as well as Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. Diancie possesses the option to simply use Diamond Storm if you foresee a foe using using Taunt (typically Thundurus, which is weak to Diamond Storm), potentially picking up KOs or dealing large amounts of damage. Team Options Diancie's team members should generally be geared towards dealing with its difficult matchups. Especially notable are attackers that can deal with Steel-types such as Volcanion, Scrafty, Heatran, Mega Camerupt, and Hoopa-U and Ground-immune Pokemon such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard Y, Latios, and Hydreigon. In addition, checks to opposing Water-types such as Dragon-types, Grass-types (Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, and Mega Venusaur), and Mega Charizard Y, as well as Fairy checks in the form of Aegislash, Heatran, and Bronzong, are needed. Fake Out and redirection are two forms of support Diancie greatly appreciates for setting Trick Room; Scrafty and Mega Kangaskhan provide Fake Out, whereas Amoonguss supplies Diancie with redirection. Scrafty and Amoonguss are both very good for compensating for Diancie's weaknesses to Steel-types and Water-types, respectively.

Moves Moonblast hits threats such as Darkrai and Yveltal for super effective damage and is Mega Diancie's main attack to use against neutral targets. Earth Power is necessary for hitting Fire-types and Ground-types such as Klefki and Primal Groudon. Diamond Storm hits the various Flying-types in the tier, such as Ho-Oh and Lugia. It is also a physical attack, allowing Mega Diancie to break walls effectively with its mixed STAB attacks. Protect is mandatory for a safe Mega Evolution as well as scouting for Steel-type coverage, such as Klefki that use Flash Cannon or Iron Head. Mega Evolving safely with Protect against Primal Groudon in particular is fantastic, allowing Mega Diancie to switch in already Mega Evolved later in the match, as well as preventing Stealth Rock from going up on the first turn. Set Details Diancite allows Diancie to Mega Evolve and gain great offensive stats as well as Magic Bounce. Maximum Special Attack EVs increase Mega Diancie's power. 176 Speed EVs and a Naive nature are used to outspeed Adamant Mega Rayquaza and OHKO it with Moonblast, as well as outspeed positive-natured base 100 Speed Pokemon. Naive is the preferred nature over Hasty due to most priority, such as Extreme Speed from Mega Rayquaza and Arceus, being physical attacks. The remaining 80 EVs go into Attack to give Diamond Storm a boost in power. Usage Tips Against teams with Klefki, Smeargle, or Darkrai, Mega Diancie should often be your lead in order to gain Magic Bounce as soon as possible. After Mega Evolving, Mega Diancie should be switched in on these Pokemon every time, as well as on other predicted status moves, such as Stealth Rock. Against teams without these Pokemon, it should generally be used as a wallbreaker early on in the game, hopefully nabbing a KO or weakening a foe to the point where a teammate can finish up. Great targets in this scenario include Ho-Oh, Yveltal, and Primal Groudon, as these all take a lot of damage from Mega Diancie and can be difficult for other Pokemon to defeat. Mega Diancie can also be used to clean up late game, after Arceus formes have been removed. Use Protect to scout for super effective coverage moves, to safely Mega Evolve, and to stall for passive damage from poison or burn if Mega Diancie's teammates run moves that induce those statuses. If Diancie is up against Deoxys-S, delaying its Mega Evolution by a turn can be handy so that Skill Swap does not remove Magic Bounce, allowing it to still bounce back entry hazards. Only switch Mega Diancie in on Pokemon such as Lugia, defensive Arceus, and Mega Sableye that use status moves and can't do more than 30% to it, as it has relatively poor bulk. Team Options Ho-Oh is a great teammate, as it can easily and consistently switch in on the Ground- and Steel-type attacks aimed at Mega Diancie, and it appreciates the entry hazard support that Magic Bounce can provide. Defensive Yveltal can handle common offensive Arceus formes and Mega Rayquaza, all of which outspeed Mega Diancie if they run full Speed and can KO it with Earthquake. Primal Kyogre is also bulky enough to take on the various Steel-types in the tier that threaten Mega Diancie as well as Calm Mind Arceus formes that come in to try and set up on Mega Diancie. It also appreciates Klefki removed if it isn't running Rest. Sweepers such as Arceus-Ground and Xerneas appreciate Klefki and Darkrai out of the picture. Darkrai is a good teammate to put support Arceus formes to sleep with Dark Void, as these are generally the most consistent Mega Diancie switch-ins. Primal Groudon can check the Water-types that threaten Mega Diancie, such as Kyogre, Primal Kyogre, and Arceus-Water. Giratina can switch in on Pokemon such as Mega Rayquaza and offensive Arceus and phaze them with Dragon Tail or cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. Giratina-O can come in on Ground-type attacks aimed at Mega Diancie and provide Defog support if the opponent does get entry hazards up.
