戰術分析
Primarina’s excellent defensive typing and stats provide it with solid survivability, with which it can set up Calm Mind boosts and sweep. Thanks to Liquid Voice, Psychic Noise becomes a STAB move while also blocking the recovery of foes like Garganacl, Clefable, and Corviknight. On the other hand, Surf is a stronger STAB option and is usually paired with Torrent. While Moonblast is Primarina's strongest move, OHKOing Darkrai and Dragapult, using the weaker Draining Kiss trades a bit of damage for a solid recovery option, letting it accrue even more Calm Mind boosts. Substitute to help it gather Calm Mind boosts while blocking crippling status moves like Thunder Wave and Trick from walls like Galarian Slowking and revenge killers like Gholdengo. Having Psychic Noise as the fourth move alongside Surf can be a useful combo to ensure Primarina has an option to deny opposing recovery, as well as providing it a Psychic-type coverage option to break through Toxapex and hit opponents like Iron Moth even behind a Substitute. This EV spread forgoes Primarina’s lackluster Speed to max out its HP, increasing its bulk and survivability, especially with access to Draining Kiss. 8 Special Defense EVs let it guarantee survive two Choice Specs Protosynthesis Timid Walking Wake's Hydro Steam under sun after Leftovers. Primarina can benefit from alternate EV spreads as well; running Modest 252 HP / 172 SpA / 84 Spe allows it to outspeed Sinistcha, particularly when running Psychic Noise, and 176 Spe can help outspeed and beat Adamant Kingambit. Tera Poison gives Primarina a resistance Galarian Slowking’s Sludge Bomb and an immunity to Toxic; Tera Steel can grant a Poison immunity, but cannot grant Toxic Spikes absorption like Tera Poison can. Both can also reverse Primarina's weakness to Grass, helping it take on Rillaboom and Ogerpon-W. Tera Ghost is an alternative if the team could use another way to block Rapid Spin in a pinch as well as to wall Blissey's Seismic Toss. Primarina excels on bulky offense teams alongside other Pokemon that can both take and dish out hits. Offensive Steel-type staples like Kingambit and Gholdengo are perfect partners for Primarina thanks to their immunity to the Poison-type moves that threaten it. Both of these teammates also can put holes in the opposing team to help Primarina sweep late game, weakening checks like Galarian Slowking that it struggles with. Entry hazard setters like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu can set Stealth Rock and Spikes, which support Primarina’s sweeping late-game. Primarina does a good job of breaking through foes that maintain longevity in face of those hazards like Gliscor, Corviknight, and Clefable using Psychic Noise. Primarina’s biggest threats are the Ogerpon formes; Ogerpon-W is immune to its Water-type moves thanks to Water Absorb, all formes have a powerful Grass-type STAB move such as Power Whip or Ivy Cudgel that can dispatch Primarina quickly, and all formes of Ogerpon have access to Encore, which can take advantage of Primarina trying to use Calm Mind or Substitute. Teammates that can outspeed Ogerpon or Ogerpon-W and use Will-O-Wisp like Cinderace, Dragapult, and Galarian Weezing can help weaken their power, while bulky wallbreakers like Zamazenta can take hits and threaten them out. Other powerful opposing physical attackers like Kingambit and Focus Sash Ceruledge can survive hits from even Calm Mind-boosted Primarina and dispatch it in short order; switching to a teammate like Landorus-T with Rocky Helmet can weaken them with Intimidate and help wear them down over the course of a game. Primarina is also very vulnerable to hazards itself, so teammates like Great Tusk, Iron Treads, and Cinderace are useful to remove them with Rapid Spin and Court Change.
