This can allow Beheeyem to sweep the opposing team or set up the field for another Pokemon to come in that threatens the opponent's team. Psychic and Psyshock are Beheeyem's STAB moves—Psyshock can be used for better matchups against specially defensive Pokemon and Psychic for physically defensive Pokemon. Beheeyem runs Shadow Ball because it provides a way to hit Bronzor and threatens other Psychic-types. Hidden Power Fighting is useful for getting an OHKO on Pawniard as well as on Probopass after a tiny bit of chip damage. While using this, Beheeyem maintains perfect neutral coverage with Shadow Ball and keeps super effective coverage for Dark-types. Signal Beam is also a good coverage move, as it is super effective against Dark-types and Psychic-types; it deals more damage to Pokemon like Silvally-Dark compared to Hidden Power Fighting and does a better job of threatening Grass-types like Exeggutor. Set Details Life Orb maximizes Beheeyem's damage output while allowing it to freely use coverage and switch moves, whereas Colbur Berry gives Beheeyem a stronger matchup against Dark-types and can allow Beheeyem to take on Dark-types such as Pawniard and Silvally-Dark with appropriate coverage. The third option, Psychium Z, gives Beheeyem a one-time powerful STAB attack to break through bulky Pokemon. When coupled with Psyshock, Beheeyem is able to target both specially and physically defensive Pokemon. It also allows Beheeyem to use Trick Room through Taunt and prevents Beheeyem from being locked into Trick Room by Trick or Switcheroo. Beheeyem runs 0 Speed IVs to ensure it will outspeed the foe under Trick Room. Beheeyem can choose to run 8 IVs in Speed, allowing it to outspeed Bronzor and threaten to 2HKO under Trick Room with Life Orb Shadow Ball due to Analytic. Under Trick Room, Analytic may not activate, but the situations where Beheeyem prefers to attack still make Analytic the better ability to use. Synchronize is unreliable and does not help Beheeyem to fill its role as a wallbreaker. Usage Tips On a full Trick Room team, Beheeyem should be used to simultaneously set up Trick Room and take advantage of it—its bulk should allow it to take at least one hit to set up Trick Room for itself and its team. On balance or hyper offense, Trick Room can be used to allow Beheeyem to become a sweeper that synergizes with other slow Pokemon on the team. On these teams, Trick Room should be used cautiously, as it could give the opponent an advantage. Beheeyem functions best as a Trick Room sweeper if most of its checks are removed; its coverage allows it to deal with a lot of Pokemon that resist Psychic, but switching between coverage moves can waste Trick Room turns. Beheeyem can potentially countersweep the opposing team if it has enough turns to do so and no strong checks are present, and it can also be used solely to allow another Pokemon to sweep through Trick Room if the situation demands it. Team Options On a standard Trick Room team, Beheeyem appreciates partners that can set up Trick Room for itself and other attackers on the team. Carbink and Dusknoir are two solid options for setting Trick Room reliably so Beheeyem can utilize it in order to deal a vast amount of damage. Trick Room attackers that pair well with Beheeyem include Wishiwashi and Marowak, which are common options on a full Trick Room team, and Golem and Granbull, which work well outside of these full Trick Room teams. Granbull in particular synergizes well with Beheeyem, as Trick Room can enhance its ability to wallbreak and open holes in the enemy team. It also has a good matchup against Dark-types and Intimidate to take a hit if Beheeyem is forced out. Outside of full Trick Room, Beheeyem also appreciates the utility provided by entry hazard setters such as Golem and Crustle as well as pivots like Komala that help it find opportunities to set up Trick Room. Beheeyem works best with Pokemon that take care of the very few checks it has. For example, if Beheeyem is not running Hidden Power Fighting, Pokemon such as Silvally-Fighting and Golem can be useful in a matchup against Probopass and Pawniard.

Moves Psychic is Beheeyem's most reliable STAB move and hits physically defensive Pokemon such as Golem and Pyukumuku, whereas Psyshock functions as a slightly weaker option that allows it to threaten specially defensive Pokemon like Komala, Lickilicky, and Kecleon. Shadow Ball gives it a strong, super effective coverage move to hit Bronzor with and provides coverage for other Psychic-types such as opposing Beheeyem. Hidden Power Fighting gives Beheeyem an option to hit Pawniard and Probopass as well as some other Steel-types. It also provides super effective coverage for Dark-types and gives Beheeyem perfect neutral coverage when used with Shadow Ball. Another coverage option is Signal Beam, which gives Beheeyem a good chance to OHKO Silvally-Dark after Stealth Rock damage. Finally, Trick allows Beheeyem to cripple opposing walls and can make Beheeyem less reliant on predicting switches. Set Details Beheeyem's low Speed tier allows it to make frequent use of Analytic to power up its attacks. Its EVs are also invested into HP rather than Speed, as Beheeyem is unlikely to outspeed many threats even with investment, whereas HP allows it to take most attacks. 208 HP EVs minimize the damage Beheeyem takes from Stealth Rock, and 48 Speed EVs allow Beheeyem to outspeed Mareanie and uninvested Golem. This is important because Beheeyem excels at punishing a switch to Mareanie, and outspeeding Mareanie means Beheeyem can avoid Knock Off and OHKO with Psychic, or Psyshock if Stealth Rock is up. Usage Tips Beheeyem's primary objective should be to open holes in the opposing team that its teammates can take advantage of. It is very effective to bring Beheeyem in from a pivot or double switch, as this can bring it in at full health. If the opponent has no strong defensive checks, the most common scenario after doing this is that the opponent will choose a Pokemon to sacrifice and attempt to revenge kill—this means Beheeyem requires partners that are able to take on offensive Pokemon that threaten it to continue dealing damage. Beheeyem also has enough bulk to be brought in on a resisted move from an offensive Pokemon or a coverage move without a STAB bonus; examples of this include Mr. Mime's Psychic and Floatzel's Ice Beam. However, this is risky and can lead to Beheyeem becoming very worn down. If the opponent is likely to switch to a defensive check that resists Psychic, like Bronzor or another Beheeyem, a prediction can be made to opt for use of Shadow Ball instead. This will 2HKO specially defensive Bronzor if it is brought in, which prevents it from setting up Stealth Rock or crippling Beheeyem with Toxic, as Beheeyem outspeeds it. Similarly, if the opponent has a Dark-type Pokemon like Silvally-Dark, a prediction can be made to use Hidden Power Fighting or Signal Beam. Trick should be used either to free up Beheeyem's predictions or simply to get rid of Choice Specs in the hope of crippling a foe if Beheeyem is no longer needed for wallbreaking. This is especially good for the entry hazard setters Shuckle and physically defensive Golem, as Beheeyem outspeeds them. After this, Beheeyem's final option is to make a trade. Beheeyem is unlikely to get KOed by any move that is not super effective with a STAB bonus but has a good chance of being able to KO the opposing Pokemon. Due to its low Speed, once it is placed on low health, it will likely lose most of its value but could still be used to KO even slower Pokemon like a boosted Curse Muk. Team Options Beheeyem appreciates Pokemon that can grant it safe entry; this is usually through pivoting, but Beheeyem also synergizes well with Pokemon that lure in defensive Pokemon so it can come in. An example of this is Silvally-Fighting, as it deals with Knock Off extremely well and can pivot with U-turn. Other Silvally formes like Silvally-Water and Silvally-Dragon are also strong choices, as they can also lure in defensive Pokemon and pivot. Beheeyem also appreciates trappers like Alolan Golem and Probopass because of their ability to remove Steel-type Pokemon, allowing Beheeyem to use its STAB Psychic more easily and more often. Probopass in particular is a good partner because it can bring Beheeyem in safely through a slow Volt Switch, and Beheeyem can check Fighting-types that threaten Probopass, such as Silvally-Fighting, in return. A good partner for Beheeyem is also Monferno, which is walled by Mareanie but can use U-turn to allow Beheeyem a particularly easy entry onto the field and also help Beheeyem deal with Bronzor and other Steel-types when Beheeyem has been locked into Psychic. Late-game cleaners synergize well with Beheeyem, as it can break through walls which may otherwise threaten them, which can allow them to win later on. Examples of this include Combusken, Swanna, and Electivire, all of which can make up for Beheeyem's lack of Speed and appreciate Beheeyem's ability to threaten Mareanie and Gourgeist-XL respectively. Beheeyem appreciates entry hazard setters like Golem, as they can contribute damage and give Beheeyem a higher chance to OHKO a foe, such as Silvally-Dark with Signal Beam. Hazard removers also pair well with Beheeyem, as they can allow Beheeyem to avoid the damage it has to take when it switches in, thus possibly allowing it to withstand another hit and use another attack. Komala, Silvally-Fighting, and other Silvally formes are great for this. Beheeyem is strong on balance teams because it can often require a teammate to absorb damage when it needs to switch out on a revenge killer. This means it can synergize well with Pokemon like Altaria, Golem, and Gourgeist-XL.

Moves Nasty Plot makes Beheeyem extremely powerful and threatening while still allowing it to use coverage and recover its health. Beheeyem can also opt to use Calm Mind, which allows Beheeyem to maximize its bulk and boost its Special Attack, making it too bulky for specially offensive Pokemon such as Floatzel and Electivire to safely handle while still having the offensive presence to deal with defensive Pokemon. Psychic is Beheeyem's preferred STAB move and handles physically defensive Pokemon better, whereas Psyshock handles specially defensive Pokemon such as Komala better. Using Psyshock and Psychium Z gives Beheeyem the opportunity to eliminate a physically bulky threat by targeting its Special Defense. Signal Beam is used as Beheeyem's coverage move to allow it to deal with Dark-types while maintaining a neutral hit on Bronzor and Pawniard. Optionally, Shadow Ball can be used instead of Signal Beam if the team is very weak to Bronzor. This still provides super effective coverage against Psychic-types but gives up coverage against Dark-types. Recover allows Beheeyem to use its bulk investment to stay on the field dealing damage. It also allows Beheeyem to set up against some offensive Pokemon and prevents it from getting chipped too much by bulky sweepers like Muk. Set Details Beheeyem runs Colbur Berry to stop it from being forced out by Dark-types, notably Pawniard and Silvally-Dark. Beheeyem can also run Psychium Z, which stops it from being crippled by Trick and Switcheroo and gives it the ability to use a devastating STAB attack or set up a Calm Mind through Taunt. As Psychium Z cannot be removed by Knock Off, it also gives Beheeyem a better matchup against Pawniard. Beheeyem prefers to run Defense EVs for a better matchup against most prominent threats. For example, it allows Beheeyem to always avoid the OHKO from Komala's Return and Pinsir's unboosted X-Scissor, and it softens damage from physical Floatzel and Golem, avoiding a 2HKO from variants that don't run Choice Band. Usage Tips Beheeyem can make use of its bulk and decent Special Attack to win matchups against some physically offensive Pokemon, and it takes advantage of balance, as it punishes the opponent for switching to a defensive Pokemon by setting up. This combination can make it very threatening for balance teams. The ideal time to use Nasty Plot or Calm Mind is when you predict the opponent will switch out their Pokemon in order to preserve it; even if Beheeyem lacks the power to OHKO the foe without any boosts, it is possible to bluff the Choice Specs set in order to force the switch necessary to set up. Beheeyem can take advantage of its high physical bulk and set up against some offensive Pokemon that do not run Toxic, and using Recover expands the number of Pokemon that Beheeyem can check because of its bulk and gives it more chances to set up. Beheeyem can also set up in order to act as a wallbreaker. However, it should be wary of Toxic while doing this. Unlike most sweepers, Beheeyem's role is not to punish a mistake and clean the rest of the opponent's team—it is too slow for this to be possible. Rather, Nasty Plot and Calm Mind allow Beheeyem to make some strong trades and get a lot of value, as it is usually able to take out a few Pokemon after a strong setup. Team Options Because Beheeyem is limited in the amount of coverage it can use on this set, it appreciates Pokemon that are able to handle its common checks. It also appreciates trappers like Alolan Golem and Probopass, which can remove Pawniard, and Silvally-Dark, which can remove Bronzor. It appreciates pivoting, particularly from Parting Shot, because this gives Beheeyem a good opportunity to set up while the enemy is weakened. Silvally-Fighting in particular synergizes well with Beheeyem, providing good offensive synergy, giving the team the ability to deal with Dark-types and Steel-types, and giving momentum via Parting Shot or U-turn. Komala is also a great partner for Beheeyem because it can absorb status and Ghost-type attacks. It can also provide momentum using U-turn, which gives Beheeyem an easy entry and opportunities to set up. In return, Beheeyem does a good job of dealing with Fighting-types, which threaten Komala. This ability to check Fighting- and Psychic-types also means Beheeyem synergizes well with other Pokemon like Golem and Combusken.

Moves Trick Room uses Beheeyem's crippling Speed to its advantage to make it faster than nearly every Pokemon under Trick Room. Psychic is Beheeyem's strongest and preferred STAB move. Signal Beam gives Beheeyem more coverage against Dark- and Psychic-types such as Cacturne and opposing Beheeyem, which resist Beheeyem's STAB move. Thunderbolt allows Beheeyem to OHKO Vullaby and deal more to Pawniard whereas Shadow Ball OHKOes most Misdreavus variants after Stealth Rock damage and hits Metang hard. Hidden Power Ground is an option to hit Steel-types such as Probopass and Pawniard, which would otherwise be able to freely switch into Beheeyem, super effectively. However, it hits Metang for less damage than Shadow Ball does. Set Details 252 HP EVs maximize Beheeyem's bulk, and 252 Special Attack EVs maximize the damage Beheeyem can dish out. A Quiet nature is used over a Modest one to be even faster in Trick Room. Analytic is the preferred ability because although Beheeyem usually won't be outsped in Trick Room, it can still boost Beheeyem's damage output if Trick Room is not up yet. A Life Orb is the item of choice, as it allows Beheeyem to hit very hard while still being able to switch moves. Speed IVs are minimized to make Beheeyem even faster in Trick Room. Usage Tips This set is meant to be a late-game sweeper that cleans up after the opponent's team has been weakened enough for Beheeyem to KO everything. Beheeyem should set up Trick Room against weaker Pokemon such as Zebstrika or Pokemon that cannot deal that much damage to it, such as Probopass. It can also set up Trick Room against defensive Pokemon such as Golem. Beheeyem should not switch into attacks, because if it does there is a good chance that it will not have enough health left to set up Trick Room. Even if it does, Beheeyem might not be able to sweep due to Life Orb recoil making it faint. If using this set on a dedicated Trick Room team, do not be afraid to sacrifice Beheeyem. Trick Room teams cannot afford to waste too many precious turns by switching, nor do they like losing momentum if the opponent predicts a switch. Team Options Other slow but strong Pokemon, such as Marowak and Rampardos, greatly appreciate Trick Room making them capable of outspeeding more Pokemon. Stealth Rock support is useful to grab some extra KOs against Pokemon such as Ninetales, and Stoutland. Good Stealth Rock users would be Golem, Marowak, and Rampardos. Wallbreakers such as Chatot, Nasty Plot Raichu, and mixed Simipour can weaken special walls for Beheeyem. Fighting-types like Monferno can defeat the Dark-types that threaten Beheeyem.

Moves Psychic is Beheeyem's strongest STAB move and hits incredibly hard coming off a base 125 Special Attack stat boosted by a Choice Specs and Analytic. Psyshock is an alternative STAB move that hits special walls such as Audino and Munchlax harder, but it is weaker against other targets due to its lower Base Power. Signal Beam hits opposing Psychic- and Dark-types such as Duosion and Grumpig, which resist or are immune to Beheeyem's STAB move. Hidden Power Ground hits Steel-types such as Probopass and Pawniard, which could otherwise freely switch into Beheeyem. Trick allows Beheeyem to cripple the opponent's special walls by locking them into a move. Set Details 44 Speed EVs allow Beheeyem to outspeed an uninvested defensive Golem and other base 45's. It is advised to use a little more Speed, however, as Golem often run a little bit of Speed. 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature maximize Beheeyem's damage output. The leftover EVs go into HP to make Beheeyem more capable of taking hits. Analytic boosts Beheeyem's damage even more and almost always activates because Beheeyem is very slow. Choice Specs makes Beheeyem incredibly powerful. Usage Tips Because Beheeyem is Choice-locked, this set requires a lot of prediction to work; if you predict wrong Beheeyem will be forced to switch out and take entry hazard damage each time it comes in again. This set works best early-game to break through special walls such as Audino and Grumpig or to weaken them for another teammate to break through later in the game. Tricking Beheeyem's Choice Specs onto special walls cripples them enormously, as it forces them to use only one move. Because Beheeyem is almost always going to move last, it does not like taking unnecessary damage by switching into attacks. Thus, you ideally send out Beheeyem after one of your Pokemon has fainted, by giving it free switches with U-turn or Volt Switch, or with double switches. Team Options Like all Pokemon, Beheeyem appreciates Stealth Rock to increase the chance of KOing Pokemon. Special sweepers such as Regice and Combusken appreciate Beheeyem weakening special walls so they can break through them late-game. Monferno can take care of the Dark-type Pokemon that threaten Beheeyem, although they have to watch out for Mightyena's Play Rough.

Moves Nasty Plot boosts Beheeyem's Special Attack to extremely high levels, which allows it to blast its way through defensively oriented teams. Psychic hits very hard and does a huge amount of damage against any Pokemon that does not resist it. Signal Beam hits the Dark- and Psychic-types that are immune to and resist Psychic, such as Cacturne and Grumpig, super effectively. Alternatively, Thunderbolt allows Beheeyem to hit Vullaby super effectively and gives it good coverage. Lastly, Recover keeps Beheeyem alive as it boosts and consistently takes damage from foes. Set Details Analytic is the preferred ability for Beheeyem, as it provides an additional boost to its attacks, taking advantage of its low Speed. 248 HP EVs and 236 Defense EVs are used to buff Beheeyem's bulk as much as possible. Additionally, 24 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature allow Beheeyem to 2HKO physically defensive Clefairy after a Nasty Plot boost with Psychic and gives it a high chance to OHKO Vullaby with Thunderbolt. Lastly, Colbur Berry in conjunction with Nasty Plot ensures that Beheeyem is not ended prematurely against a Dark-type such as Pawniard or Krokorok, while Leftovers provides Beheeyem with passive recovery. Usage Tips As mentioned earlier, Beheeyem is used as a wallbreaker and can sweep in some games. This set works best against offense and balance, destroying a lot of teams by just spamming Psychic. Try not to let Beheeyem get afflicted by bad poison or burn, because status can potentially hinder its ability of sweeping or wallbreaking. Try to bring Beheeyem in on passive Pokemon such as Clefairy or on predicted Choicelocked- Psychics or Fighting-type attacks from Mr. Mime or Stoutland to setup. Beheeyem is also able to threaten out Pokemon such as Muk and Clefairy with Psychic, so this is another great time to set up Nasty Plot. Team Options Like all Pokemon, Beheeyem appreciates Stealth Rock to increase the chance of KOing foes. Fighting-types such as Monferno and offensive Combusken can get rid of Dark-types that threaten Beheeyem. Additionally, Beheeyem breaks down slower, passive Pokemon, which benefits setup sweepers and cleaners such as Zebstrika, Simipour, and Rotom-F. Wallbreakers such as Stoutland and offensive Mawile can break through Beheeyem, so teammates like defensive Mawile and Tangela can be used to help handle them.

Trick Room takes Beheeyem's middling Speed and makes it into a fearsome late-game sweeper. A Quiet nature lowers Beheeyem's Speed further for Trick Room while also allowing Beheeyem to get Analytic boosts against some of the even slower Pokemon in the tier. Hidden Power Fighting is the preferred coverage for this set to more easily beak through Scraggy and Steel-types like Klang, but Signal Beam is also a good option for hitting Psychic-types like Duosion while still hitting common Dark-types like Shiftry and Zweilous. Recover is a solid option for keeping Beheeyem healthy from Life Orb recoil and gives Beheeyem the longevity to act as both a mid-game wallbreaker and a late-game sweeper, but replacing it with Signal Beam to round out coverage for a more potent sweep is also a fine option. Life Orb gives Beheeyem as much power as possible, as this set does not set up nor utilize Analytic during Trick Room. Like most sweepers, the timing of Beheeyem's Trick Room sweep is everything. Waiting until walls such as Bronzor are either crippled or KOed is key so Beheeyem can grab as many KOs as possible during the few turns Trick Room is up. As such, pairing Trick Room Beheeyem with a teammate like Monferno and Simisear can help immensely to help clear the way of common walls like Bronzor and Scraggy. Beheeyem also appreciates racking up as much chip damage as possible before the sweep, and entry hazards are a key part of that; hazard setters such as Torterra and Dwebble are solid choices for this role. Beheeyem also appreciates help wearing down the opposing team and coming in safely with U-turn or Volt Switch, and Zebstrika is a particularly good partner for this, as Zebstrika tends to attract and chip down similar counters to Beheeyem.

With maxed-out physical bulk, Beheeyem becomes surprisingly tanky and gets many opportunities to switch in and set up because of it. The choice between Nasty Plot and Calm Mind comes down largely to preference: Nasty Plot gives more immediate power and is the more common pick, but Calm Mind adds further bulk, making it easier for further setup. Signal Beam can be used for breaking through bulky Psychic-types like Duosion while still hitting most Dark-types like Shiftry, but Hidden Power Fighting hits Scraggy for super effective damage. Recover is the chosen last move to keep Beheeyem healthy to tank more hits for the team and itself. This set of Beheeyem has the tradeoff of more immediate power compared to the other sets but provides the team with a bulky switch-in for Fighting-types like Monferno. Beheeyem also enjoys being brought in by U-turn or Volt Switch to preserve bulk and potentially buy a turn to set up with. For this, Pokemon such as Monferno and Zebstrika also make good partners with the added bonus that the two listed examples also tend to bring in walls like Stunfisk that Beheeyem can set up on.

This set trades the bulk of the above set to maximize Beheeyem's bone-crushing power. The EVs are for outspeeding Audino and 2HKOing with Psychic, with the rest of the EVs thrown into needed bulk. Signal Beam and Hidden Power Fighting are both coverage options that hit common switch-ins to Beheeyem such as Duosion and Klang, respectively, while still hitting Dark-type switch-ins like Zweilous. Trick is for walls this set can't overcome otherwise like Bronzor, crippling them by giving them Choice Specs. Beheeyem can still hit hard even without the Choice Specs, so Trick is a comfortable choice to regularly use if your opponent has a Bronzor, Scraggy, or other unassailable wall. This set is also prone to getting chipped down via entry hazards, status, and stray damage, so Pokemon that can help Beheeyem stay healthy such as Tentacool with Rapid Spin, Vileplume with Aromatherapy, and Audino with Wish are all good partners. Beheeyem is also commonly walled by Bronzor and Scraggy, so having a teammate like Monferno that can check them is also a great option. The key to utilizing this set is proper planning at Team Preview: seeing what Beheeyem can and can't break through is the best way to decide what move to lock into, how to get around counters, and when Beheeyem can simply let Psychic loose for some easy KOs.

The idea with this set is simple: get Beheeyem in late-game, set up Trick Room, and proceed to destroy all that stand before you. Beheeyem has a lot of options at its disposal, but it can only have so many on its set at a time, so your team needs to patch up the holes that Beheeyem will miss in its coverage. Psychic is the main STAB option since it blasts through many of the more physically defensive-inclined Pokemon in RU, particularly Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Crustle, Rhydon, and Feraligatr. Psyshock is also viable and hits Cryogonal, Clefable, Gallade, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Lilligant significantly harder. Thunderbolt gets fantastic coverage when paired with Psychic-type STAB, nailing Mandibuzz, Slowking, and Crawdaunt for super effective damage and getting a nice hit on Drapion, Spiritomb, and Absol. In the last slot, Substitute is preferred to let Beheeyem dodge Sucker Punches and block status. However, Hidden Power Fighting is an option as well to blast Steelix and other Steel-types, as well as get a super effective hit on Absol. Drop Beheeyem's Speed down as low as possible to outspeed everything in Trick Room, and nothing out of it to get the Analytic boost. Nasty Plot is about the only move not talked about so far that has a place on the set, though Beheeyem wants as much time in Trick Room as possible, and it isn't the sturdiest of Pokemon to be able to waste turns of set up (it's cleanly 2HKOed by 0 Attack Steelix's Earthquake after Stealth Rock and Life Orb damage, meaning that it really can't set up on much of anything even with 252 HP EVs). Like Slowking, Beheeyem can be a standalone OTR sweeper partnered with something like Escavalier, offering way more power in place of bulk. Alternatively, Beheeyem can be used on a dedicated Trick Room team, where it isn't too bad as a sweeper and secondary setter. If using Substitute, using Magneton to get rid of Steel-types helps tremendously, and Magneton is a nice switch into Spiritomb, which otherwise completely blocks Beheeyem. Fire-types like Magmortar and Entei are also nice switches into Spiritomb to absorb Will-O-Wisp. Escavalier offers fantastic typing synergy with Beheeyem and works fantastically in Trick Room itself, destroying Spiritomb, Drapion, and Absol, which are all major threats to Beheeyem. Trick Room lead Smeargle is a cool teammate as well since it's played super aggressively, will probably put an opponent to sleep, and will suicide, allowing Beheeyem to come in for free and start blasting stuff. Protection from priority from Entei and Kabutops is needed as well. Qwilfish stomps all over Entei and provides Spikes for Beheeyem as well. Tangrowth and Ferroseed are awesome answers to Kabutops, and the latter can provide Stealth Rock as well. Entry hazards in general are cool to support Beheeyem with. Here are some damage calculations to show the effectiveness of providing entry hazard support: Psychic vs 252/0 Tangrowth: 87.12 - 103.21% (guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) Psychic vs 0/0 Magmortar: 73.53 - 86.94% (87.25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock) Psychic vs 0/0 Electivire: 89.69 - 105.84% (guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) Psychic vs 0/0 Rotom-C: 79.66 - 94.19% (50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock) Thunderbolt vs 0/0 Absol: 89.66 - 105.53% (guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) Thunderbolt vs 4/0 Durant: 99.61 - 117.44% (guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) Psyshock vs 200/0 Gallade: 79.2 - 93.27% (81.25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Spikes) Psyshock vs 0/0 Lilligant: 91.84 - 108.15% (guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) Psyshock vs 40/252 Lanturn: 49.62 - 58.6% (guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock) Hidden Power Fighting vs 252/36 Steelix: 80.79 - 95.48% (68.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Spikes) It should be noted that none of those calculations need hazards if Beheeyem is outside of Trick Room and the Analytic boost is added.

Beheeyem's stat distribution makes it ideal for setting up Trick Room as it is bulky enough to take one hit and a base 40 Speed stat allows it to function well in Trick Room. Psychic is Beheeyem's strongest option for a STAB move, and it hits common Fighting-types such as Terrakion for super effective damage. Ally Switch is what makes Beheeyem unique; it is an amazing defensive move that allows Beheeyem to take hits directed at its teammate and vice versa. It should be noted that Ally Switch gets +1 priority. Shadow Ball is the first alternative to Ally Switch; it hits opposing Psychic-types that would otherwise wall Beheeyem, such as Reuniclus and Musharna, for super effective damage. Thunderbolt, the second alternative, hits Flying- and Water-types such as Tornadus and Jellicent hard. By utilizing Team Preview, one can decide whether or not to set up Trick Room. For example, if the opponent's Pokemon are faster than yours, you should set up Trick Room, and if the opponent's Pokemon are slower than yours, then you shouldn't. Protect shields Beheeyem from Fake Out and can also be used for scouting purposes, such as to check if the opponent's Pokemon are carrying Taunt or not. Imprison is mainly to prevent slower teams from setting up Trick Room. The reason why a Modest nature is used over a Quiet one is to ensure that Beheeyem is able to outspeed Trick Room users, such as Musharna, and successfully use Imprison to prevent them from setting up Trick Room. If the opponent isn't running a Trick Room team, a Modest nature still allows Beheeyem to be faster than the opposing Pokemon in Trick Room. 252 HP and 108 SpD EVs allow Beheeyem to survive a Shadow Ball from a Modest Chandelure, set up Trick Room, and hit back with either Shadow Ball or Psychic. The remaining 148 EVs are placed in Beheeyem's Special Attack to give it as much power as possible. Sitrus Berry recovers a decent amount of Beheeyem's health when it's low, thus, increasing Beheeyem's survivability. Mental Herb is useful against Taunt users as it prevents Taunt from affecting Beheeyem, but only once. Lum Berry prevents Amoonguss from putting Beheeyem to sleep, thus allowing it to set up Trick Room. Unfortunately, standard Amoonguss can survive a Psychic from Beheeyem. Telepathy is great ability to have in the VGC metagame as it prevents Beheeyem from taking damage from multi-target moves, such as Earthquake and Surf, from its teammates. Scrafty has great synergy with Beheeyem; with Ally Switch, Beheeyem can take Fighting-type hits aimed at Scrafty, and Scrafty can take Ghost-, Dark-, and most Bug-type attacks aimed at Beheeyem. Fortunately, a Scrafty with a Brave nature works considerably well under Trick Room. A Quiet Chandelure with Protect is also a good teammate to have as it can quickly dispose of opposing Ghost- and Psychic-type Pokemon that threaten Beheeyem. In general, Pokemon that work well in Trick Room largely benefit from the Trick Room support that Beheeyem can provide.

This set takes advantage of Beheeyem's low Speed with Trick Room. Because Beheeyem is a Psychic-type, Psychic or Psyshock is a strong, reliable, STAB attack. With STAB Psychic and 52 EVs in Special Attack, there is a slight chance you can OHKO most Hitmontop. Ally Switch is what makes this set unique, allowing Beheeyem to switch places with your second Pokemon. It can potentially help partners weak to Fighting-type attacks, as no spread Fighting-type move currently exists. Beheeyem should always run Ally Switch, as otherwise Cresselia and other bulky Psychic- and Ghost-types completely outclass it. For the last slot, you can choose Shadow Ball to hit Chandelure, Cresselia, and other Psychic-types or Protect to salvage an extra turn. Mental Herb makes sure Trick Room is up unless the opponent uses Imprison or has a Sitrus Berry to let it live a little longer. Because Beheeyem has low HP, a 252 EV investment HP is necessary to withstand at least some attacks. Some EVs in Special Attack are vital to boost its powerful STAB attacks and KO Fighting-types, while 204 Special Defense further increases Beheeyem's ability to take hits. Telepathy is by far the best ability to use with it. 252 HP and 204 Special Defense EVs allow Beheeyem to take a Shadow Ball from Reuniclus or Chandelure, set up Trick Room, and strike back. 52 Special Attack EVs allow it to have as much power as possible while also retaining its bulk. Mental Herb is very helpful due to the fact many Pokemon carry Taunt; however, Sitrus Berry allows Beheeyem to survive longer. Telepathy is one of the best aspects of this Pokemon, allowing it to avoid taking damage from the very common Surf, Earthquake, and Explosion when used from its partners. Because of this, Beheeyem can avoid wasting a turn Protecting during an Earthquake from an allied Rhyperior or Metagross and attack instead. Normal types, such as Snorlax, are great partners, as they take minimal damage from a Shadow Ball or Crunch, respectively. Scrafty pairs up great with Beheeyem; with Ally Switch, it can take Ghost- or Dark-type attacks and Beheeyem can take Fighting-Type attacks. Fake Out support makes it relatively easy to set up Trick Room. Also, with STAB Drain Punch and STAB Crunch, Scrafty can deal with Pokemon that are threats to Beheeyem, such as Chandelure. Hitmontop also has great synergy with Beheeyem; it has all of the same features of Scrafty except Dark-type STAB while also having access to Sucker Punch. Amoonguss and other Rage Powder or Follow Me users, such as Togekiss, can make it relatively easy to set up Trick Room.
